Distressing News On Ryan Taylor – Newcastle Statement

There was a rumor of this yesterday, when one of our readers sent me an email and said that Ryan Taylor had suffered another ACL knee injury – but usually the knee is stronger after the surgery,  so I simply didn’t believe it was true – but unfortunately the news is true,  and some terrible news for Ryan – he’s suffered yet another cruciate ligament injury.

This is the very sad announcement made by Newcastle United today:

=====================

Newcastle United are sad to announce that Ryan Taylor has suffered a further cruciate knee injury.

Taylor, aged 28, and with 91 United appearances under his belt, injured his knee in the early stages of the home Europa League qualifier against Atromitos last August, undergoing surgery shortly after to repair the ligament damage.

After making good progress over the past eight months and having just returned to training, this latest news is a massive blow to the popular player.

Manager Alan Pardew said:

“Ryan has worked so hard and diligently since his injury.” “He has been a model patient and has given his all to ensure he could return to full training in the best condition possible. Clearly everyone at the Club is deeply saddened by this news.

“Ryan has, and will continue to, receive the full support of everyone at Newcastle United during this difficult time for him.”

It is likely that Taylor will miss the majority, if not all, of next season.

This is nothing less than a terrible tragedy for Ryan – and our hearts go out to the Liverpudlian, and he’s sure to be feeling very low right now.

You can send a message of condolence to Ryan here– we’re sure he will appreciate all messages of support,  in what must be a very difficult time for the 28 year-old.

Tragic news for the player.

WTF is it with NUFC and INJURIES!!!!! ARRRGGHHH!!!!!!! It never fcuking ends!

Poor Raylor he was looking forward in featuring against the scum and now this! Mind you we missed him against the scum as it would have been better playing him than Jonas there.

Though it must be said also, our two Taylors are very injury prone and we must but more defenders to make up for that.

Ps. This talk of a swap of HBA for Carroll is crazy talk and will never happen. I would have Carroll back for no more than 8M and only if we sign ANOTHER top striker in the mold of PEA or Wilfried Bony.

First off, Really feel sorry for the guy. Seeming can’t catch a break at the minute. This would end the careers of some players, but hopefully he will pull through.

Right, last post, Of course I meant to type Ibiza, not wizard. Long day, topped off by a half an hour stretch in blog limbo.

Jesper – the Triangle of Intelligence is an ancient group dating back thousands of years, well, about 45 minutes. It currently involves the trio of doom that is Beattie, Ibiza and myself. Im sure we would accept a fourth member, but the “Square of Intelligence” doesnt sound anywhere near as good.

Okay, just read that .org article on hoofball. Stats don’t lie.

Be really interested to see if you can get stats for the individual players in each of those games. Also how many were successful. Mainly, how many come from the GK!
