Newcastle United were furious with the fans who started a fracas on Sunday, after the loss to Sunderland, to made a very bad day – even worse.
Bud – the horse who was punched – but he’s doing OK
And we had scenes of a Newcastle fan punching a horse – well would you believe it – and the next day the Yorkshire Constabulary were quick to point out that Bud, the handsome horse in question, was OK and relaxing in his stall.
Here’s a video of Bud being molested:
[youtube id=”lIY7qTUd5xY” mode=”normal” align=”left”]
Barry Rogerson, 45, was the fan who punched Bud and he has today personally apologized to Bud:
“I would like to apologise to the horse, to all the mounted section, to people of the North East.” “I am on medication and had been drinking, but that does not excuse what happened.”
“I reacted stupidly. I did not go out to attack a horse.” “I love animals – I’ve got three dogs, a fish pond out the back and I feed foxes across the road.”
Rogerson will now be banned for life from St. James’ Park, as Derek LLambias is furious and wants to stop the bad publicity these fans caused for Newcastle United around the world on Sunday afternoon.
The horse is said to have been startled when a fire cracker went off just in front of him, and Inspector Trevor Thackray, from the mounted police section, had this report on Bud:
“We are pleased to say that Bud is totally fine and resting up after Sunday’s eventful operation in Newcastle. Our police horses are used to dealing with all types of disorder so, while the images on the news may have looked shocking, Bud wasn’t hurt.”
Hopefully Rogerson will think twice before punching a horse again.
And late news just in – Bud has accepted Rogerson’s apology.

Carrol wouldn’t come here to be an option off the bench . It would be full on 90 min hoof ball as that’s the only system Pardew is really truthfully comfortable with as he clearly can’t coach or do ”pass and move”.
Pardew is an 80’s throwback who was nothing as a player and can’t work with top players who are on another planet to what he was as a player.
It’s been a totally pointless exercise for Carr getting all these touch flair players in if we stick with Pardew.
Carroll isn’t going to move us forward and is that the type of football we really want to see. Poor old SBR would be turning in his grave.
Yes he’ll nod away a few corners, he may score the odd set piece but then will be injured again.
It is mouthwatering what we could put out in an attacking
433 or 343 but if Pardew stays and Carrol comes you’ll have to give your neck muscles a work out cos that ball won’t be staying on the ground and a lot of players won’t be staying at the club to play that c..p.

Comment #42Ancient… 🙂 Do you mean picture 3 then? Maybe my eyes aren’t as trained as yours, but the mans fist seems to be making direct contact with the horse and stops there. What am i missing?

Comment #44Okay, so left hand placed on horse and then pushed off with it as he got tackled.
The right hand didn’t make contact due to being tackled to the floor, but did he really think he’d clear the horse?
I think the biggest point here may be, did he think at all? Probably not.

Comment #45One Tony Green…Old enough for sure. Many families do come here in the holidays and it accommodates them fine, not sure I’d say it’s the best place for kids though. It’s close, has sun and beaches, but not “meant” for kids so to speak.
Sounds like I’m talking you out of it now 🙂
Basically, for kids it’s neither here nor there. You’d have a great time, probably like any other family tourist destination. Don’t be worried about problems though, been here 8 years and I’ve personally never had any bother.

Comment #48@AncientCoptic – how about when he had his scarf around his neck, then pulled it up around his face looking like he was going to do something and then charged at the horse and punched him.

Comment #49Shows you how much of a turd this nonce is pulls he scarf up round his! Probably to stop the horse recognising him just in case they met again and the horse gave him a good hoofing and on top of that he looks as though he’s tattooed from his arsehole to his wrists, what a Whalley.
