Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was this afternoon in the 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns, which saw Newcastle drop three places to 16th place with Sunderland, Norwich and Stoke all wining and moving above Newcastle. Unfortunately Sunderland have gained 5 points on Newcastle in the last two games.

Gouffran scored his second goal of the season  for Newcastle after only eight minutes,  but then on 64 minutes it was Billy Jones who smashed the ball home after being fed by Lukaka in the penalty box to level the scores.

We started looking like last season at some moments in the first half, then the second half starts and all that just goes to crap. This is starting to become a joke now get pardrew out, he was good for us last season but we lost 1 player brought in 5 and still fighting relegation?
it shouldnt be like that, keeps making the wrong subs, shouldnt of brought on ameobi should of been ben arfa first, didnt give ben arfa long enough and stop with this 4231 its no good for us go back to 433 and we will start winning games again!!!!!

They say a point away from home is good, maybe so, I just cant help but again feeling let down by a toothless backs to the wall second half performance, it is awful to watch us trying to protect every lead we have.

The full-time whistle. He was easily our best player. He showed up at just the right time.

The most important thing in football.. When your on top take your chances. Before the game I heard in our last 2 matches we created 47 chances.. scoring 1 goal. Then we tore into west brom first half, like the wounded animal we are. Th lads went out and you could see it on their faces they had something to prove. When Olsson put Cisse clean through, I can’t believe he missed that, I mean talk about no confidence.. Jesus Christ that was shocking. If that was me and I missed that chance, I would sprint around the pitch with my mouth foaming, looking to make it up to the team and score. We should have been 3,4-0 up at half time. I honestly don’t have a clue what Pardew must say to the lads at half time, it is obvious to everyone west brom would be better in the second half, they couldn’t be worse. Did Pardew go in and tell them the game was won? We offered between nothing and very little in the second half, and I’m being generous saying very little. Then for Shola to come on before Ben Arfa? Seriously shola couldn’t change a game of under 10′s 5 a side. In 13 years at the toon he has 47 goals. Debuchy got 17 at Lille? Ffs Shola is only still anywhere near the team because he’s a geordie, I couldn’t care less if he was from Iraq, the planet in Avatar, or the Pacific Ocean an his mam’s a fish. As a striker I want goals, i want players up to standard, players who excite when on the pitch especially as a striker. Shola will never get more than 3 a season put Willo up front and he’d get that, give the linesman a jersey where do you draw the line? Very, very disappointed with the second half, when things weren’t working Steve Clarke could change things, could Pardew? No. I did vote that we’d draw, I even bet 1-1 with PaddyPower, but base on the first half I should have lost that bet… and based on the second we should have lost the game. On a lighter note, I streamed the game from the america and the commentator kept calling Lukaku, ”La Cuckoo”.

he brings on ameobi ahead of a game changer in ben arfa.if i was nufc manager i think i woruld actually elease ameobi

By your reckoning we need 42 points to be safe which means you think Villa will get 7 points in their last 5 games and Wigan will get 10 points in their last 5 games.

    Aston Villa’s remaining fixtures are:

    Man United (a)
    Sunderland (h)
    Norwich (a)
    Chelsea (h)
    Wigan (a)

    Wigan’s remaining fixtures are:

    Spurs (h)
    West Brom (a)
    Swansea (h)
    Arsenal (a)
    Villa (h)

Somehow I cannot see it, I think 38/39 points will do it.

This summer must see a new manager asap.
Ashley has also got to back his new man with money for 2 strikers and a defender.
Shola should be made to carry Pardrews backs to were ever he ends up.

  • 13 cockneymagpie90 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:11 PM

  • 14 kevymartins // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:11 PM

If it was up to me he would be gone tonight. People saying aww we can’t sack him till the end off the season really?

Look at the bigger picture if we don’t sack him now we will be watching the football league show next season. Bring a manager in with tactical abilities and we will walk all over west ham qpr keep pardrew and there will be a different outcome.

  • 15 ian7523 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:13 PM

On paper our team is fantastic, but we’re not playing to our (continental) players’ strengths. And no, bringing Andy Carroll back is not the answer. That would be going backwards.

  • 16 stuart no9 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:13 PM

pardew is a useless pathetic knob i feel like crying , ireally do . to watch our beloved newcastle being brought down to this level is soul destroying. every week , every game , the man is out thought ,and out classed.
he is like a builders labourer going for a brickies job.- he has a vague idea how to do it, he just dosnt have the skill to carry it off. now f//k off

  • 17 obafemi martins // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:14 PM

    pardew out!

  • 18 croftus5678 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:16 PM

argh this is fkin anoying me now >..< ffs look what you thought before the game "dont risk him" and all that blks

he can not do right for doing wrong can he ?
he brought on shola and arfa and took off a mid and defender ! must be going for the draw ! sometimes i just can not believe what is being written sometimes and its coming from a lot of fans ^^

  • 19 kilcline // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:17 PM

I would love the following managers:

Moyes – Back him with promise of money, none of the other big clubs will go for him – Unrealistic though.

Zola – Watford are playing some terrific stuff, give us the flair that we crave!

Poyet – Same as above, up and coming manager, knows the Premier League as a player and has got Brighton who have done us in the cup past few seasons playing some good stuff too.

Anyone is better than pardrew ffs.

  • 20 papscrunt // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:17 PM

The coaching staff have to be looked at too. Most managers don’t do much on the training pitch. And you have to have clear plans and clear training structures. I personally don’t rate Carver at all myself. As stupid as this might sound, I think we are too ‘British’ in our thinking. Too old school and not progressive enough in terms of behind the scenes. Look at the Ben Arfa ‘Injury’ You wouldn’t see that at any of the top clubs.

  • 21 Dubaigeordie // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:17 PM

when there are managers out there like Di Matteo, and we decide to keep alan pardrew ffs Mike Ashley better change him soon otherwise hello championship and bye bye cabaye, cisse, ben area, tim krul i could go on…

  • 22 No Plain Saylor // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:17 PM

Lads you can’t just say he’s a knob or say pardew out, you need to make points as to why. I agree with you, but it is dreary just reading pardew out day and night every day of the week, fcuk me make a point or two, for example see @9.

  • 23 Dennis Twice // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:19 PM

Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pardew out now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …and that Cisse???????????????????????????????????????????? …clever guy……..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • 24 JP...from The Rock // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Ed you should put the option to vote for ‘NO ONE!’ as man of the match.

What a load of shite we had to endure in that nail biting second half. We are lucky to come out of it looking decent at 1-1, make that very lucky.

We should have won the game in the first half if it weren’t for poor finishing from Cisse.

Second half we didn’t even get out of our half. And HBA came on too late and when he did we never even attempted to passing him the ball. Terrible second half performance and let’s see how far that point takes us.

  • 25 Goodfella // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:26 PM

We desperately need a forward who doesn’t need 5- 6 chances a game to score a goal

  • 26 RobertLeeNo.7 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:26 PM

Right Pardew doesn’t get it totally right.. Buuut he can do nothing about stupid choices on the pitch by players.

    1) Cisse mad a rushed stupid chooice in th echip when through against foster.

    2) Taylor should of stayed on his feet for the goal what was he thinking sitting on his arse behind lukaku? if he had stayed on his feet he woulda been in a position to block.

There was way to many individual errors today that can’t be managed during a game. Also Pardews tactics were spot on today. In the first half we dominated and as usual missed our chances.
    2nd half was all nerves.

  • 27 The next Mike Williamson // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:29 PM

I’m sick of making valid points why Pards is the worst manager we’ve had, I now just want to resort to violence

  • 28 JP...from The Rock // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:38 PM

RobertLee- Good points but Pardew could have changed it round at the 60th minute mark and not wait another 15 minutes on the 75th to introduce…Stolla ffs! What is he thinking, and that’s coming from me, someone that has been backing him due to our dreadful injuries. Though this time and not for the first time has made some shocking decisions when we were up against it.

The players didn’t help either, why is it we always look like amateurs?

Why do we always rush our passing?

Why do we make passes difficult for the receiver of the ball to control time and time again??

What the hell are our coaches doing in training!!??

  • 29 Geordiegrandpa // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:39 PM

Can anyone tell me how much it will cost Ashley to dump eight year contract Pardew?

  • 30 futurefanbaseofNUFC // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:40 PM

    give it to benny MOM.

was on for 14 minutes touched the ball four times? (giving benefit of doubt)

love how the only real “technical” talent we had on the pitch was on the right side and we were playing Hoof ball to the left side with S. Ah-me-o-boi..

  • 31 stuart no9 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:41 PM

no plain sailor @ 22 if you dont know why pards must go , then it is too late for you son .

  • 32 sula // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:53 PM

no plain saylor. Come on are you watching these games if you saying the players made stupid decisions on the pitch why didnt pardew sort that out? Why would you bring on benny for the last 10 mins ??? its always the same old shit with us same mistakes and just not getting the quality out of the players. I think the players have had enough of this twat and just want fresh ideas. look at our squad compared to all the teams above us come on saylor be serious. Pardew is to small minded for this club and deep down inside you know it but are living in denial. I dont think you will be for to long though cause we are in the shit son get with the programme we have Liverpool next god help my beloved newcastle i just want to survive and can someone please please please tell ashley for f sakes son get a quality manger there are plenty out there.

  • 33 peaco1980 // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:53 PM

If we’re going to keep hoofing the ball can we at least get in a manager who at least understands that you need to have an understanding of how to make the most of set pieces..Pardew out…..Mike Basset in!

  • 34 sula // Apr 20, 2013 at 5:55 PM
