It’s Official – The Gods Are With Newcastle

We were watching the game yesterday between Liverpool and Chelsea, to check on how well the Reds were playing these days, since we play them next Saturday at home, where a win could  see us safe in the Premier League for next season.

Suarez bites Ivanovic

Suarez – after taking a bite out of Ivanovic

And if we can survive we expect next season to be like it was last season, and nothing else will be good enough,  after what’s happened to us in the league this season.

In the second half we saw this guy Luis Suarez bite Branislav Ivanovic, and in the video replays it was obvious that what the Chelsea defender was telling the referee was true.

What a little brat.

And it wasn’t the first time he has done that,  as we pointed out in the article we rushed out after the game – because this lad should now get least a seven match ban, and that’s his season over with.

Now first things first – what a god send that is for Newcastle. 😀

Suarez did the same thing when he was at Ajax, when he was seen on video to bite a PSV player Otman Bakkal’s shoulder in November, 2010, and while the referee waved play on at the time, he was given a 7 game ban after the game.

Now how many players have ever bitten a player?

This lad’s now done it twice, so this time we have to believe this player should get at least a nine or ten game ban, and it’s going to be interesting to see whether Liverpool even try to defend their best player.

This told us a few things yesterday about Suarez, most of which we already knew, and since we have certain guidelines on the language that can be used on this blog – we better leave it at that.

Suffice to say contnually brings very bad headlines to Liverpool – but it also told us that the Gods are on Newcastle’s side – they are with us – which was the main conclusion we reached yesterday. 😀

And probably with the advice of Liverpool,  who will be trying to keep the ban to a minimum he tweeted this after the game:

“I’ve spoken to Ivanovic on the phone and I could apologise directly to him,” “Thanks for accepting.”

And just so the FA knows he’s really apologetic – but obviously not denying what he did (this time), he also issued a short statement:

“I apologize to my manager and everyone at Liverpool for letting them down.”

And her’s a video of it and the camera leaves Suarez just as his teeth are about to take a piece out of the Chelsea player – what was he thinking?

[youtube id=”chxXTIKgC6A” mode=”normal” align=”left”]

We’ve all had a terrible last eight days – but hey – a win against Liverpool is just what we need on Saturday – and their best player will not be playing.

We can do it.

Howay The Lads!!

Not a cat in hell’s chance of beating ’em! They’ll probably nick the lead of St Nicholas Cathedral’s roof for good measure.

Cant believe he also tried to put his arm up to the referee after Ivanovic shoved him off. What a maniac.

    i hope you’re right

    Laudrup, please

actually, give me gary f***** megson for all i care, at least it’s not pardew. two and a half years of neolithic tactics, unwarranted self-aggrandizement, absurd excuses and a weekly installment of him absolutely raping the English language to tatters to the point where I feel significantly dumbed down is too, too long.

Taking off Cabaye (ok he had a niggle so I understand) then taking off Marveaux as well then going on to lose is the biggest insight into what is going on where we’re winning then go on to lose or draw.

If he knows Cabaye needs to be taken off, then Marveaux should have been kept on. I think Cabaye came off first if I remember correctly (I wasn’t a happy chappy at that game).

Same goes for Saurday where there was a noticeable shift back by all our players. Cisse was isolated again. No good Pardew in his post match interview putting a lot of emphasis on Cisse’s missed chance.Strikers miss chances, if they didnt, they would all score at least a goal a game.If Pardew had actually realised that if the team play the second half with the same positive approach as the first with a little tactical tinker to nullify their change in approach and created Cisse another 3 or 4 chances, he’ll probably score one of them and kill the game. But we didn’t and I don’t think we had a shot on goal or on target. Yet Pardew says it’s unfortunate we couldn’t create a chance second half and the subs made an impact… What impact? Where we score? We couldnt even create a chance. He’s trying to deceive folk. Whether it’s deceiving folk on purpose, which is bad, or total ineptitude, which is actually believing what he’s saying, something is hugely wrong with tactics.

If he can’t see that the chance wasn’t created due to him visibly discouraging the players to venture forward and just to sit back (which has happened with many other games we’ve seen) then he shouldn’t be a manager never mind our manager. So basic it’s unreal.

Morning gents. Is it safe to come on here??

Personally, lacked a good second half performance but a point at the Hawthorns isn’t a terrible result.

Need a Chelsea-esq performance next weekend.

It will be season ticket renewal time soon
MA either spends massive amounts getting a world beating team for the idiot to destroy
Or he gets another manager and spends the minimum

remember we got AP due to the fact nobody at the time would touch us with a barge pole
Times have changed as now we look half decent with MA looking a half decent owner

Rafa will be toon boss the day after the last game, they cant sack AP during the season
That would be a hark back to the dark ages of the management of the toon

Sadly I can only see a defeat this weekend with or without Suarez – They play to fast for us and close down quickly, we seem to need to much time on the ball and get stretched, so we end up sitting deep and isolating cisse and using long ball tactics

I don’t actually like Rafa but he is cheap available and has won things in this country.
How does he compare with what we currently have?
Imo its no different to players,if someone better becomes available you try and improve your team.

As for the style of football he plays at least he seems to actually have a plan.

toon22….Is Rafa cheap? I don’t actually have a clue, but given the clubs he’s managed I can’t imagine him being a lower tier earner.

I do agree though, that if we were to upgrade it would be the sensible thing to do, much like with players.

Not sure Rafa is an inspired choice and wouldn’t bring what many seem to be calling for (an attack minded manager), but he has had a lot of success as a manager.

we are going to be beaten by Hull and Cardiff next season at home.

    Newcastle 0 – 3 Hull

Alan Pardew: Its tough against these newly promoted sides as they are out to prove a point against a bigger side like us.
I thought our guys played well but Cups run really put us in a bad shape but now we are out of these cups tied we can focus on our main games ahead.

    Alan Pardew on
    Newcastle 1 – 4 Cardiff

AP: They are a possession team that can keep a ball under their feet, pass around well, we just couldn’t cope with it but as i said we have now got those cups tied out of the way, we can now concentrate on our remaining games.

I’ve no doubt that the fact that Liverpool have find Suarez who then donated the money in cynical PR exercise to Hillsborough fund I am sure that the suits at Liverpool will hope that this will help thecFA cop out of any decision like a ten game ban, which is the least he should

Sadly the long ball once worked for us and as Pardew doesn’t know what else to do he will stick with it. Has he always played the long ball game at previous club? He only seems to have one tactic in his little book and several thousands excuses.
Next season we will go defensive and defend the 0-0 draw we start with by playing deep preferably in our penalty area and hoof the ball up field and maybe get lucky and score, we can stand the immobile Aemobi in front of the oppositions goal and might get an in off. We will not bother practicing corners as the stats show we can not score from them.

Seriously we need a new manager with some ideas

If we attack Liverpool we will win. They have nothing to play for and no Suarez and we have to put on a show after Sunderland.

Only Pardew stands in our way as he managed to do at WBA costing me £400. Everytime we go 1-0 I start to panic and it’s not long before he takes off our threat (Marv/ gouff/ cabaye) for one of te more experienced (Ameobi/ perch) lads

I’m going to go with toon only because I don’t think he’ll dare try to go for the draw at home with the crowd on his back.

If we are getting a new manager I would like to get Lauren Blanc without a doubt. He is available and probably the best Newcastle can get. He turned Bordeaux to champions league club.
