Is This Newcastle’s New Strip?

We’ve been sent this strip from one of our readers, and it may be the new strip for Newcastle for next season.

NUFC

New top with Wonga for next season?

Of course it’s always hard to know whether these strips are the real thing or not – but at least it’s a lot different from the strip we have today.

No that that says much – but there’s a lot more black in it – with today’s strip having a lot of white in it.

But assuming it could be the new strip – what do you think?

Comments welcome.

The team would play better if Pardew left NOW, he is the reason why we are so bad, get rid of him and let Carver and Stone run the side for the last 4 games, it cant get any worse.

We might even start playing attractive football. The players are class the manager is holding them back, easy solution, give him the bullet NOW.

If that’s the strip I’ll have a pants explosion. It’s a cracking one.

It’d look good with championship arm patches.

I don’t think it will be though. Looks a bit photoshopped from the one 2 years ago.

I think it’ll be this one:

Can somebody actually try and explain to me how it could get any worse, performance wise. People on here wont be happy until the Nobber has got us relegated, if anyone can look over a team whilst they go 4 without a win its Pardew, that he has proven in the past.

Give him the Bullet please, hopefully by the weekend.

Seeing as we were underprepared this summer do you

    1. think we will strengthen properly in the summer

    2. and if you could have say 4 players/positions what would it be (first team not kids)

    1) god I hope so!

    2) LW, desperately need a genuine winger, jonas isn’t a winger, Marv isn’t a winger, goofy isn’t a winger and ferguson isn’t prem standard imo

CAM, a belhanda or de Jong I’d be beyond ecstatic, cabs obviously based on this season needs resting more and I’m not sure Marv has the legs to do a full campaign

RW, I know we have benny, but when do we really have benny if you see what I mean?

CB, a top cb, I’m going on the assumption that colo is offski and for me tayls is too inconsistent and far too injury prone to be relied upon going in to a new campaign

Well pardews pretty much Doomed us to the championship, even if we survive on the account that there is 3 worse teams than us we’ll still get relegated next season as the silver haired baboon wont get sacked.

    Basically we’re DOOOOMMMMED!

I read this blog all the time but I’ve decided to now contribute to the discussion. So far I have learnt that the problem with our club is Mike Ashley, Derek Lliambas, Mike Williamson, Cheik Tiote, Gabby Obertan and now it’s Pardew fault. I personally feel this season has been a bad one, no arguments, but that the reason for it is a huge combination of things. Not just Pardew. Give him another season, David Moyes turned it around after finishing 4th bottom in only his second season

Dortmund have bigger fish to fry than PEA and Eriksen.

Think along the lines of Hamsik, Cavani, Schrulle, Draxler or maybe even Suarez from the scousers.

If you read the blog then perhaps you would understand why comparing Moyes and Pardew is totally pointless.

The only similarity is the trend.

I can’t believe the Gateshead and Newcastle councils are considering replacing the iconic Tyne Bridge with a more modern structure similar to the Redeugh Bridge made out of concrete.
    A council spokesman told the Evening Chronicle;
” Extensive structure investigations have been carried out on the Tyne Bridge over several months following serious construction faults coming to light which potentially have made the structure unsafe for traffic and pedestrian users.
Though it is able to sustain another decade of use at the current limit, remedial work will be necessary to keep it in use beyond that point.
The investigation has produced some alarming results and it has been decided that a new structure with modern materials may be the only solution.
No decision has been made yet but the cost to repair the bridge will cost more than replacing it.
A decision about the best course of action will be made over the next few months”.

The article goes on about its history and iconic shape but due to the financial difficulties both councils face then demolition may be the only answer.

I hope this is only to scare the Government into providing more cash!!

    Divnt be daft

But on the subject of strips we have had some ridiculous sh1te as away and spare glow in the dark strips.
We fortunate to have one of the best and most iconic home strips in the game.
Because of it we are the mags.
We are the black and white team. Why purple and dayglow green (that defenders can spot a mile away.)
To change away strips why not keep it simple and either darken or lighten with pinstripes or shades of gray to look either nearly black or nearly white or with bits of blue for colour.
But tie it all together so its recognizable as toon and not just a way of milking the poor bastards that live on tyneside and making then fuc#1n glow.
    rant ower

Why can’t you compare? Pardew has only been in the job for 1 whole season, he hasn’t had a chance yet. It took Moyes 4 seasons to get stability. If you got your wish and a new manager came in, would you keep him on if we struggled next season? Is the answer only ever to sack the manager? Reading thought it was a ‘great’ idea too

The more I think about it, the more I think we will sign Carroll so long as not one outbids us in terms of offer and wages.

I think we have missed aerial threat this season. No goals from corners is an issue.

I think if Collo leaves they will also be looking to get a big defender as well, who can also offer that threat at set pieces.

We just do not have that dimension to our game right now and it’s needed. Remember the Man utd game anyone?

We need to add goals from corners and set pieces (those out of range for Cabaye)

I’d prefer 2 blue stripes as opposed to gold. This strip looks too much like this seasons uni, I’d prefer something slightly different.

Count me out on buying, I’d prefer a little more black:white ratio ala. last seasons strip.

Dortmund won’t spend 40m on a player! Theyre signing Gameiro to replace Lewandowski, to replace Gotze theyll either promote from within or sign a young replacement! Theyve got some cracking players coming through from the youth team!

    Welcome to the blog.

My name is Beattie25 and I am the most arrogant, stubborn and argumentative cock on here. It’s now time I destroy your view.

First point, Moyes and Pardew cannot be compared! The similarities between the 2 stop at Leauge positions after their first and second seasons.

Pardew has been in charge 2 1/2 season also (not 1 full one as you put it) and it that time there has been no improvement in terms of footballing quality on the pitch. It is basically the same style as the one he used in the 3-1 win over Liverpool in his first game and the same style as he used at Reading, Charlton, West Ham and Southampton.

Moyes in his first season showed an indication he was changing the style of football evertonains had been used to since the formation of the PL. Their fans were used to long ball as used by Howard Kendall and various others and Moyes had a desire to play it on the ground. The fans appreciated this, and although they struggled second season, the fans saw progress on the pitch despite results and were used to fighting in the bottom half under other managers so stuck with him.

Pardew has consistently shown no progress at all clubs he’s been at in terms of style hence why the fans, players and owners have seen fit to lambast his efforts at all previous clubs.

Moyes was relatively new to management, certainly at PL level, where has Pardew has had a taste previously and has been a manager for over 10 years and should by virtue of experience know how to handle a relegation battle.

Any iota of an argument you had was completely obliterated by mentioning Reading who have no reason to be in this debate!

I could counter your view that them sacking McDermott wasn’t a failure yet as they are backed by a wealthy owner who is looking at the future and wants a man like Adkins to lead them into the PL again given that they were already more or less relegated.

The owner didn’t like Readings style and was willing to place an outside bet in Askins saving them but a bigger bet he could get them playing good football and get them promoted again.

Plus we are not Reading, we are Newcastle United and with a plethora of international players, a massive support and a rich and grand history (despite the lack of trophies) we should be doing much better than bottom 5.

Please don’t compare Moyes and Pardew because as I’ve said the only similarity is the good finish and the bad. Moyes had potential, Pardew doesn’t.

The risk for Everton keeping Moyes was maintaining mediocrity or pushing on towards greatness. The risk for us is maintaining mediocrity or pushing towards oblivion.

Also Evertons team I’m 2003 was:

    ————————-Richard Wright—————–
    Steve Watson-Alan Stubbs-David Unsworth-Alessandro Pistone
    Tomas Radzinski-Tomas Gravesen-Lee Carsley-Kevin Kilbane
    —————Kevin Campbell-Wayne Rooney——-

Hardly a quality team he had to play with.

Beattie, we will see what happens. It might turn ugly if the go for a bigger fish, and then that team goes for PEA to replace the bigger fish.
