We wondered why Liverpool were so shocked when Luis Suarez got a 10 match ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic during last Sunday’s game.
Luis Suarez – he’s a disgrace to football
The same player was given a 7 match ban in November of 2010 for biting a PSV player when he was at Ajax, and that was a couple of months before he joined Liverpool.
The Dutch FA also warned the Uruguayan as to his future conduct at that time – so you would expect him to get at least an 8 match ban for biting another player.
And the same player – who is bringing the great name of Liverpool FC some terrible headlines around the world – racially abused Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra in October, 2011 – and was banned for 8 games – and warned as to his future conduct.
It may have been some bravado from Liverpool to say they were shocked at the 10 match ban handed out this week – but now Suarez will miss the first six games of next season too – and the ban seems about right – given this guy’s history.
The Uruguayan is turning out to be high maintenance for Liverpool, very high maintenance in fact, and even though the club are saying they will not sell him this summer, we’re not too sure.
This is what Luis had to say – to try to save his career at Liverpool:
“I am truly very sorry about the incident with Branislav Ivanovic,” “I hope that all the people who I have offended at Anfield last Sunday will grant me forgiveness.”
“I know that all the things that are happening to me in England will help me improve my conduct on the field. Right now I just want to focus on becoming a better footballer on and off the field.”
Yeah – right – the truth is that I’m not the only one who thinks this guy is simply a disgrace to football – there’s enough evidence for that viewpoint.
Anyway – he will not play tomorrow against Newcastle, and that’s good.

Someone wrote in an earlier thread, about big drop. I think it was 1/5 from something else. I might be wrong, big drop it was.
I heard we were in talks with Benitez yesterday. They might have acted on this info. But I have no evidence or article, just some guy on twitter. They guy that wrote it said twitter guy was legit though 90%.

Comment #5Repost wrote it in the wrong thread.
Anti Pardew people are about to feel some hope.
Everyone of you are about to ponder at the least.
2 weeks ago Alan Pardew’s sack race odds were 66/1..
Tonight they have gone down to 4/1.
Now we all know year on year the only winners in the bookmakers are the bookies. For such a massive change in odds so sharpish, one can only assume inside info. And I can’t remember bookies getting something like this wrong. Anyway thought I’d pass that on to the blog, The green milewas on a break, its back on. Good Luck lads 🙂

Comment #6The bookies might also think that if they make big drop people will think the have insider info and bet more. When it doesn’t happen they will lose their money to the bookies.

Comment #7Sorry Sazzer thought noone saw that on the last thread..
I’d be quite happy with Benitez if Im honest. Won champions league with two teams, la liga, club world cup, fa cup, decent win record everywhere he’s been. Much higher pedigree than pards. Any link for that from yesterday mate? Didnt see it at all. When your talking about a chain of bookmakers and a hell of a lot of money they dont often change odds by that much on a rumour, i might be wrong but you never do know.. bookmakers do though 🙂 haha

Comment #8I don’t think anybody will be else will be sacked this season, unless someone suprisingly gets relegation. Martinez and Rednapp might leave if the go down but I don’t think they are getting sacked. Rafa Benitez is also said to leave at end of season.
So Paul Lambert, Alan Pardew or maybe Pulis if the get relegated. But I do think Villa, Stoke and we will stay up.

Comment #9Ohh i agree with you I don’t see anyone bein fired before the season;s out. Redknapp is a horrible sort, he screwed QPR up fiancially, i know they were already but he made them worse. Pulis is more than likely headin away too. Last week we hear Mike Ashley wants an end of eason review and he’s not happy. And now this? Dunno, hope it’s true. I dont know why but i do have a soft spot for pardew as a person. But to be so resistant to change tactically, drop favourites, play so unconfidently defensive, and at the end of the day he never managed a club this big before and he never will again.

Comment #13Anyone got the feeling Suarez was told not to appeal because of the amount of bad publicty that he is creating for the club, I dont think the American owners like that .I think Kenny Dagliesh’s support for Suarez after the racial abuse of Evra that eventualy got him the sack, and it seems to me the management & players are doing the same by coming out & publicly supporting their pet cannibal.it will be interesting to see what their fans do at Toon this afternoon
