Since Newcastle have lost the last two home league games by a cumulative score of 9-0, and were booed off the field on both occasions, it would not be surprising if there are splits developing in the Newcastle dressing room.
Alan Pardew demonstrates how Newcastle fans feel like
And if that’s the case, that would not be good, although Alan Pardew has held some meetings this week so that players can air their grievances to the manager and to the other players.
Newcastle must play a lot better than in recent games, if we are to get some points in the last three games of the season, otherwise we could be relegated and to call that being a complete humiliation of Newcastle would be expressing it lighlt.y
And Newcastle seem like they are racing to the bottom, and are now in 4th place since Monday night – the lowest we have been all season – with the worst goal difference (-23) we’ve had all season, and it would not be the first time that an unsuspecting team gets caught at the end. and are surprisingly relegated.
That can happen to Newcastle this month.
What matters now is which of the teams fighting relegation is in form – and that cannot be said for Newcastle.
Aston Villa on the other hand are playing some of their best football, and moved above Newcastle on Monday night with a 6-1 thrashing of Sunderland – who hammered us 3-0.
In fact what can be said is two of our last three appearances have been the worst this season – and for many seasons – and maybe that’s why we are not too confident of the team being to pick up many points in the last three games.
We’d like to be more positive, but we’re also realists and what happened on Saturday against Liverpool was a catastrophic disaster for Newcastle United.
We’re not being negative – but we are being realistic – and that’s what’s worrying us so much this week.
