Newcastle Win At QPR And We’re Safe – Pardew

After the 0-0 draw today at Upton Park today when our lads played very well, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew says that a win at QPR next Sunday could secure our place in the Premier League for next season.

newcastle fans after game west ham

Newcastle players applaud their great fans after the game today

But we now wonder if 41 points will be enough this season, with teams like Wigan and Aston Villa starting to win games.

In truth our PL survival doesn’t look too good right now, after Wigan beat West Brom 3-2 today, and they could go above Newcastle after playing their game in  hand on Tuesday night at home to Swansea – if they can win.

Here’s what the Newcastle manager said after the game today:

“I think if we win at QPR it’ll be enough.” “It’s a huge game, and it’ll be a tough one, but we’ve got to go there and try to win.”

“Obviously they’ve already been relegated but it won’t stop their enthusiasm to try and beat us and finish strong.”

“A lot of other teams have been brought into the fold for relegation, Sunderland, Norwich and Southampton, they’ll all be a little bit nervous I should think.”

“But we can do is worry about ourselves, try to win at QPR and see where that leaves us for the Arsenal game.”

If we do win at QPR next week and other results go in our favor, there is a possibility we could be safe before the last game of the season against Arsenal – and that would be a huge relief for Newcastle fans everywhere.

The lads must go all out at QPR and try to get goals and the win, but QPR don’t give too many goals away – and today Arsenal won only 1-0 at QPR – with a goal in the first minute from Theo Walcott.

It’s going to be a big big game for our lads next Sunday afternoon.

Harry redknapp will be licking his lips at the chance to take us down. He has always disliked us as we dislike him…And all jokes/slabbering aside of harry but he sure as hell can manage a team better than pardrew and they will beat us

Levy QPR were abysmal. Arsenal were poor today as well. I don’t see Norwich getting another point.I only hope we can

I don’t think we will just turn up and win.

They are struggling to score as well so we have got a chance with just one or two goals (I know that’s a lot for us but you never know).

Fingers crossed we get 3 points, makes it easier

I found that odd too. Gosling shouldn’t play ahead of Anita. Hell even obertan should have a go after his hattrick before gosling

the ironic thing is Anita go 3 m.o.ms in a row and was then just dumped for Tiote.

I think we’re the most likely to get relegated. That wigan win today was one nail in the coffin. If they beat Swansea midweek, that will be another nail in the coffin. If we dont win next week, we’re as good as gone.

Even if we do beat QPR we are not guaranteed to stay up.

We are relying on other teams regardless of our own results.

It was in our hands, now it isn’t.

We went for the draw today. We got it. We also lost control of our own destiny.

How does a player go from getting mom game after game to be dropped from sight and seeing Tiote,Perch,Gosling,Guti even Sissoko go straight into the team in front of him.

Anita isn’t just a Dutch footballer, he is a former Ajax player playing over 100 games and Dutch International playing at all the youth levels. It is a crying shame he is not being utilised. Carr must be so frustrated at the waste which is being inflicted on the team by our berk of a manager.

I mean ffs pardew for once keep ur mouth shut. instead of talking the talk why don’t you walk the talk.

The guys fing disgrace who is trying hard to get us relegated with his schoolboy tactics. I mean why bring gosling on at all. That too when we had anita or even oberyan.

And ffs y do you even bother putting cambell on the sub at all ifu never intend to use him at all. #EPIC FAILURE

I’ve never been hugely impressed with Anita so see why pardew goes for tiote (or at least I’d did at first, don’t get it after all these bad performances). But Anita goes about the game quietly and does well at the basics which is what we really need right now.

Would give plenty of options for the simple ball and aloe us to keep possession for the players like cabaye and Ben arfa to get forward and influence the game .

Even then it isn’t in our hands.

If Sunderland and Wigan win their games in hand and all teams match our results we are down.

If we went down and I passed Pardew in the street it is safe to say harsh things will be said. Taking us down with this squad is a crime against football and I will never forgive him till the day I die.

As long as we beat QPR next week I think we will be ok. I have used this:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm

and I think Norwich, Fulham and Stoke could well finish below us.

That is assuming we win at QPR of course, if not we have had it.

Just beat QPR and we are safe, i would not back us to beat blyth Spartans at the moment, and thats no disrespect to blyth.today again we had no width no crosses coming in, seen it all before and if we do get safe it will probably be a ben arfa dream goal, im praying we get by so the guys at the very top can sort out this god awful mess, and that means binning that manager who just has not got a second gear and has been found out.
