Pardew Fired – Don’t Believe Everything You Read

With Alan Pardew having his showdown meeting with Mike Ashley today, we should have guessed that somebody somewhere,  would send out a tweet that Alan has been sacked.

Alan Pardew – wild and daft rumors

It only takes somebody to tweet that Alan Pardew has been fired for it to spread like wildfire – especially since a number of Newcastle fans seem to want Alan fired after our very poor performance last season.

We should point out that Mike Ashley has already had six managers in the six years he’s owned the club.

And reports of getting Rafa Benitez in have to be way off the mark – since we remember Rafa wanting to spend around £50M on players each summer while at Liverpool, and he wouldn’t get any of that at Newcastle, and he would hardly be a viable candidate for the Newcastle management – sorry to bring up logic here.

We’d very surprised, shocked in fact,  if these rumors are in any way true – we think somebody has simply made this one up.

Spoof, I think if you got enough people involved you could make the Sun. Would be a good laugh.

Ever watched the film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. That gives you an idea of just how much damage a well spread rumour can do!

On Rafa, just seem to remember he said he would consider a project. Also had reliable information from a mate who knows Ashley that they have had 2 or 3 meetings already. Very likely they will come to nothing, as we probably wouldnt match what he wanted. But there has definitely been interest from both parties, where they are at now, I have no idea. But I would guess wages, transfer funds etc were all problems.

Its not a rumour, Pardew has gone, Martin Jol is taking over, with that, I’m off to bed, good night all, and sweet dreams.

repost Good business for the Hammers if it goes through. It will cost that much for a no name forward from Moldovia to play in the premier league next season . i feel fans are comparing cabaye and hba fees and thinking were going to find more bargain like that again . could do but chances are slim and if we did get another
bargain player they would need time to settle aswell andy carrol is ready made to start right away

Ed. You’re a killjoy! Ah well, so be it and let’s look forward to a few months of speculating who’s coming and going. Enjoy the summer all.

‘Rafa wanted 50m every summer’ ? What? Rafa ended up having to sell his best players to generate money. I.e. Alonso
Plus made some cracking signings for reasonable money. Reina, Agger, Alonso, Skrtl,

If my maths is correct and you are first or second in the league you get about £60m, plus all other revenues generated, so for a couple of years you break even or make a modest profit then you have a modest spending year and accumulate income. Not difficult for a businessman like M.A, just get shot of A.P and Get in Rafa B.
