Newcastle Youngsters Win Their Second Game 5-0

In Newcastle’s second group game today, the U21 sevens side beat Southern District 5-0 and we are top of the group with one game to go later today.

michael richardson warming up

Michael Richardson warming up – he scored two goals in second game

Brad Inman scored the first goal and then both Sammy Ameobi and Michael Richardson grabbed two goals each,  to give Newcastle a maximum 6 points after two games played in the group stage.

Brad Inman scored after only two minutes to start the ball rolling – so to speak – and Sammy Ameobi scored another brace – and that’s four goals in the two games today for the England U21 International, with local lad Michael Richardson getting the other two.

The final group game later today is against Leicester, who were beaten earlier by Southern District by a score of 2-0.

That’s 7 goals and none conceded in the first two games, and if we can get through to tomorrows’ knockout stage, we will like meet the top teams like Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Villa have won this competition five times – with Newcastle winning it for the first time last summer –  and we are trying to make it two in a row this weekend.

Howay The Lads!!

Newcastle United U21s sevens: Jak Alnwick, James Tavernier, Paul Dummett (Remie Streete), Michael Richardson, Conor Newton, Bradden Inman (Steven Logan), Sammy Ameobi (Rolando Aarons)
Subs not used: Remie Streete, Steven Logan, Rolando Aarons

all the more reason we should start to give these guyes some playing time as subs.
as for player of the season that is so easy because their has only been one player consistant most of the season colo.

if demba was with us he would have won at a canter and we would have prob finished top ten just shows the club are effing clueless and or have limited ambition

The club effin clueless? Chelsea activated the release clause therefore it was up to Demba whether he stayed or left…….

Thanks, I am very jealous of their structure and seeing as we are trying to be a self sustaining club I struggle to see why we dont lok at other academies. Hey ho I ‘ll just keep supporting the team (shame cant be said for Pardew)

Useless in the fact they left the clause in place when they had all summer to either
    a) offer him a fair contract, one which removed there clause aswell as demba’s
    b) they had all summer to scout a replacement to bring in to replace him
The board failed with both, massively

The original contract made sense, didn’t they try to negotiate a new contract last summer? I definitely agree with your second point.

I don’t think many youngster will get a run in the team, this is the excuse i expect to hear “it’s difficult for them youngsters to get in the team, they is trying really hard in training but without the europa league there weren’t enough games for them to have a shot”

@wolf cos we would match Chelseas wages? Ba was always gonna leave. His agents were out selling him to clubs

Think there was a contract offered but its hard to tell, they said they offered Simmo a contract he said there was never one on the table!

The problem by all accounts was his contract was heavily bonus related which probably explains his annoyance at being played wide left!!

    Croftus
It’s funny really that Ba was the main blame for the season up until jan, so many on here couldn’t wait to get shot of him and there was genuine hatred aimed towards him on here, greedy, merc, hope his knee goes and his career is over etc
Now the same ones saying that are saying pardew out, why did pardew sell him blah blah blah!

i have no idea (lots of rumours)but no idea.
i personally think we will sign almost unknown’s for bargain prices and not let anyone know untill they are certain they will sign.
pea is a lost cause for us i think and should no longer be classed as our main target for time.
i think a nice quick easy win for us just to say we have a half decent striker would be “amido balde” £3mil 21yo plenty of class and creases to iron out and improve but most importantly can be tied up very fast.

they need to get collo sorted and not waste time trying to please him too much either as if we are to get better we need to not waste time trying to convince our own players to stay.

He’s on around £80k I think at Chelsea, if in the summer we’d offered £50-60 (still under our apparent wage cap) I think he’d of signed

It’s clearly your fault that pardew still has a job
It’s clearly your MA hasn’t sold the club
It’s clearly your fault that Indian mag has a huge man crush on shola which he disguises as hate
