Newcastle Linked With Inter-Milan Central Midfielder

Newcastle are being linked via reports in Italy with 22 year-old Inter-Milan midfielder Joel Obi.

Jol Obi – 22 year-old Nigerian International

The 11 times capped Nigerian International made his debut for Inter in September of 2010, in a UEFA Champions League group stage game against Werder Bremen, and by our reckoning he has played about 55 times for Inter-Milan since then.

The left footed central midfielder was supposed to be a Sunderland target in January, and we’re not sure if there is real interest from Newcastle for the player, although reports out of Italy are saying that both Sunderland and Newcastle are interested in the youngster.

Inter-Milan are said to be ready to sell the player this summer, but we’re not sure how much the Lagos=born player would cost.

    @ Jimmy

Yeah you’re probably right. Had one to many Desperado’s tonight so take my posts with a pinch of salt 🙂 .

I would love us to play like Bayern have the last few seasons with 2 flying wingers and a central striker that would get 20 plus goals. It is possible with Cisse as a lot of his goals in Germany were from cut backs and headers from the wing, however at the minute we don’t have any decent wide men. Mertens and Sinclair would be my choices.

Don’t know much about him. Andrea poli from sampdoria would be better.

We are always linked with players while other teams actually sign players early in the window!
    Go figure
Villa,Norwich,Swansea and others have already brought in some top player targets and we’re on holidays I think

Yeah, Merhtens , Sinclair and keeping it real, Carroll would add balance, quality and genuine threat to the side and help keep our top players on board. I think that would give us a squad more than capable of getting back into the top 6 frame next season and coping with the additional European competition that comes with it.

I don’t think the Toon have much choice but to push on from here or risk seeing what they’ve built in recent years come undone.

Surely a dries mertens, griezmann or wijnaldum isn’t to much to ask for.

One has to ask oneself, why would Cabaye want to stay? Apart from the monumental fact that his friends are at Newcastle? As far as having an ambition as a football player, why stay?

It is very hard for me to say, but a collection of Pardew, Llambias and Ashley have told the fans that they are aiming to finish in at least the top ten next year. That is not good enough to keep the players that we have.

It seems as if Newcastle is being run by someone who has no ambition to succeed but yet the club’s players are extremely ambitious.

However, I do have a little idealistic feeling that what Pardew, Llambias and Ashley tell the fans is a lie. Secretly, they are aiming for the top six next year. The reason I think this could be true is because they know that if they told the fans this, and then failed to finish in the top six, the fans would go mad, because Newcastle fans demand a lot.

Indeed, they should demand a lot, because they invest their lives into the club.

Also, in regards to my secret top six point, this also explains why Ashley financed and involved himself in January:

    Sissoko,
    M’Biwa,
    Debuchy,
    Gouffran,
    Haidara.

I’m so grateful for those players. Sissoko will be a star.

I wish these papers would lie about something decent!

It’s common knowledge we are out looking for a striker yet these papers print anything but haha.

Giz something to get me hopes up!
