I Am Really Excited To See Kinnear Back At Newcastle

There’s still no official announcement about Joe Kinnear coming from Newcastle, but that hasn’t stopped Steven Taylor from coming out and expressing his delight that Joe is returning to the club.

steven taylor - yes

Steven Taylor – excited to see Joe back at Newcastle

This is what 27 year-old Taylor has told Sky Sports:

“I am really happy to see Joe back at the club and I think his return can only be positive for everyone connected to the club.” “Welcome back: Steven Taylor is pleased to see Kinnear back at Newcastle.”

“Joe was great for me when he was manager and I really enjoyed playing for him.”  ‘We were in a great position under Joe in the league, until he got ill and it was after that that things went wrong.” ‘

“Joe wears his heart on his sleeve and he tells it as it is and I think he is someone that Newcastle exactly need.”  “Joe has lots of experience and he is very knowledgeable and I for one am really excited to see him back at Newcastle.”

We’re not too surprised to hear that from Steven, and looking back at some of our reports when Joe was manager at the club, the players loved him, because he got them into that bunker type of mentality that everybody was against them.

So we think Joe will be welcomed back by the likes of Coloccini, Gutierrez, and the two Taylors, and others who were at the club when Joe was managing back in late 2008 and early  2009, but exactly what our new foreign players will make of him – we have our doubts – and he’ll have to learn how to pronounce their names correctly – as job one.

Joe brought in Kevin Nolan, Ryan Taylor and Mike Williamson in January of 2009, and all three of those deals were good ones for the club, and he sold Shay Given and Charles N’Zogbia (sometimes known as Charles Insomnia) for around £14M for the two – so that was good business, although Joe didn’t want to lose Shay.

And when Joe took sick in February of 2009, just before the game at WBA (we  won 3-2), the plan was to put Kinnear as the long term manager,  with Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood as the two assistants – but as it turned out,  Chris and Colin got the job done brilliantly, when they got us promoted from the Championship at our very first attempt.

And then Chris was fired – but that’s another story.

Seeing the view of an empty St James’ Park and an emotionless expression wreathed across the faces of our management team is going to be liberating.

P.S. I’m tired of Steven Taylor’s idiocy. He should be sold.

How did a club that has represented our region since 1892 been allowed to fall into the hands of one individual from hertfordshire. how did we let this happen?

Has Saylor thrown himself under the bus, or was he pushed?!?!

The cynical side of me thinks, get a local lad to publicly back JFK and the fans will follow….!

    No chance…!

Kinnear did not sign Williamson. That was Hughton during the promotion season.
The guy is a moron and should be banned from interviews.

This thing with getting names wrong…don’t want to attract the wrath of the average bloggers here but SBR was just the same and even used to get Carl Cort and Shola mixed up when talking to them…so just because he gets peoples names wrong when in front of a camera or mic doesn’t mean he won’t be able to help sort out the squad…which is all he’s been employed to do.

Torq – Exactly! Must be a ploy to get fans onside. Not gonna happen! Kinnear is a bloody moron and should be nowhere near this club. We all know Taylor in a manipulated idiot, decent defender but thick as two short planks.

MA: Joe, it’s well known you are mentally unbalanced, delusional, out of touch with reality, foul mouthed, disrespectful, a braggard and a pathological liar….
JFK: Yeah, Mike, but in fairness I do have one or two weak points as well. I mean, no-one’s perfect…

Joe was always mentioning Saylor for England
as I recall. Stevie loves all the flannel in
football. Always lining up for a quote . Mind,
not sure about him saying Joe wearing his heart
    on his sleeve!

Sparky – it’s more the issue that he got them correct a minute later! It’s like some sort of inherent psychological problem, selective pronunciation or something. Who knows I’m not a psychologist but my God we’ve fcucked up grandly with this entire escapade. Nip it in the bud now and be done with it.

However, why is the nothing about this on ssn channel. You would think given the uproar over it they would be reporting it on there if one of the players pipes up. So odd.

Jordijonty…all I said was SBR used to do the same with names…are you saying that’s not the case???

    repost

In the scheme of things this is a nothing event unless MA intends to replace Pardew with Kinnear…at that point I’ll be up in arms myself but at this moment in time where talking about a role of assessing currentl playing staff and targeting new players but that’s what Carr does anyway and they’ve worked together before so where’s the problem…he’s just another layer of management

I am still clinging on to the wind up theory until the club show everyone the contract 😀

What’s everyone’s opinion on Brown Ideye? He wasn’t that good for Nigeria last night but I believe he could be class signing. The following is what I’ve found out about the striker:

Come on why don’t you say what you really feel.
A fool is a fool who says foolish things.
He’s not that different ( Joe that is) from a regular
on here who is a Mr Shouty man doing his schtick.
Upsetting all and sundry, disappearing for a while
then coming back on a charm offensive. The
Irish have it down to a fine art. Joe has a short
fuse that has to be managed. My mature students
tell me he was a polished classy full back.

What a stupid thing for Taylor to come out with!!

As Torq said I have a strong feeling that he is NUFC puppet, pushed out to give a local backing to Kinnear but what a crock of 5hit!!!

Just listened to that Kinear Interview in full a minute ago.

Honestly, is Kinnear permanently drunk or just completely mental?

    Mike Ashley wonderstroke No. 12861582!!!

Just piss off away from our club you useless fat cockney *******!

How is he my mate – I do not particularly like any of the top three, most of my previous posts would suggest this. I think you need to explain your slur please, I’m just getting prepared for a good old rumble.

Even a much older SBR didn;t get more or less every single players name wrong did he?

I mean he only had a meeting with Lambezzey immediately prior to his alleged appointment and still can;t get his name right FFS!

Don’t knock Ed for that mate. No comparison
