Is Joe Kinnar Becoming Chief Executive At Newcastle?

With the shock announcement of Derek LLambias resigning from his position announced just about 30 minutes ago on the Newcastle web-site, we wonder if there are more changes in the offing at Newcastle.

mike ashley and Derek LLambias

These two ran Newcastle for over five years

The Chairman or Chief Executive at the club is in charge of the financial side of things, and is usually a businessman who has had experience in finance and running a business, and gets  involved with the commercial side of the club.

Since that’s hardly Joe Kinnear,  and we would expect somebody else to be appointed as the Chief Executive at Newcastle, and if that happens it’s a good question as to what the organization structure would be, and whether Joe Kinnear, Alan Pardew and Graham Carr would all report into the new Chief Executive.

That would seem to be a more workable structure, and would certainly give Alan Pardew more leeway to keep doing his job as the manager or coach of the club.

As we mentioned earlier,  if Derek LLambias is not replaced, it may still make things easier for Alan Pardew, because Joe will be too busy carrying out other duties to interfere too much with the coaching side of the club – which is Alan Pardew’s responsibility as manager.

We’d be surprised if the structure remains the same as it currently is, and somebody else isn’t brought in, but we’ve been wrong before, and we’ve been shocked before, and we have already had two big surprises this week, so maybe there are more about to come.

And with no word at all from Alan Pardew and just 15 days to go before pre-season training starts, we wonder what his status is at Newcastle.

What do you think?

Indian Lee Ryders gets his scoops off Johnny Decker mate. If he was back at his desk he would been wheeled out by now. We all know he cannot keep his clacker shut. I think he will resign

On Douglas, he wants 1st team guarantee. I don’t think it’s a good idea to sign him, it might caused unrest among the players especially CB position. We have Colo, Saylor, MYM, Willo, and Perch.
It should be competition to be in the 1st team basis, not guarantee whether you play well or not.

I’ve just had a horrible realization. During his fist stint at the toon JFK mispronounced the name of N’Zogbia, who promptly left. A couple of days ago, he mispronounced DL’s name, who has promptly left. As well as a few other less-important players JFK has mispronounced the names of HBA, Cabaye, and Jonas. I am now seriously worried.

Indian it is so unusual for him to hide away from the press he loves the sound of his own voice so much he probably listens to tapes of himself before he goes to sleep.

No transfers this summer then. You can’t replace an MD overnight and expect him to start giving the OK on transfers.

    Repost

    One down, how many more?

It looks like he has paid for the shockingly poor season and failure to secure Remy.

This is looking more like some machiavellian plot.

I see Pardew going next as the new managing director (with advice from Joe whose stock has just risen tenfold) will want their man in the managers seat. The new manager will then sack the two Geordie chumps.

    Will Carr survive the chop?

    Interesting days.

Maybe Llambias has just completed his job of getting the club on an even keel and now its a shake up. For that cheers Derek. But you could of kept us more informed during your time here. Nevermind though, best of luck.

Who is out of work who could operate in such a position?

The circus that is newcastle united…apparently ashley thinks the sportsdirect accountants are enough to take care of the NUFC finances. that leaves kinnear and pardew at helm of all things football.

Next season will be a sitcom at SJP, might as well name it The Loon and The Clueless.

‘..Any possibilty Ashley will be concentrating on NUFC?..’

    None at all.

His wealth and power comes from Sports Direct. He is not too fussed about Newcastle. He has handed over day to day control to others, and if they mess up they go.

@NUFC Eire disagree fella as someone on here posted previously if he is that good and on a free why has no one else snapped him up. He was poor last season in Holland and what happened to the club much bigger than Newcastle he said wanted to sign him.

Douglas was never going to come here to play second fiddle to Colo, Taylor and Mbwia.

We have much better centre backs than him anyway.

maybe the appointment of jfk was to oust lambeeze rather than ap. ash might be sick of him after he had to get involved in transfers during the winter to get them “over the line” and im sure it was lambeeze who recommended pards got an 8 year contract … i dont think ash is a happy man at the minute … did ash not recently give up or sell a lot of his interests and duties at sd? maybe hes going to do the role himself … anyway im over the moon hes gone.

york geordie-do you really think dl had a say over money spent on transfers he got the blame when they broke down but it is ashley who holds the purse strings.we will never know why dl resigned but if he did resign because of the appointment of the geordie hater then he has gone up on my estimation
