We had heard that Yohan Cabaye, who is currently on vacation with his wife in St. Tropez, was very unhappy at Joe Kinnear’s comments last Monday night, when he stupidly mispronounced the names of many Newcastle’s stars, including Yohan’s name.
Yohan Cabaye – furious at Joe Kinnear’s comments
But we didn’t realize that Yohan was furious with Kinnear’s comments, which is being reported in the Daily Mail today.
Yohan has been linked with a number of clubs already this summer, including mega rich French clubs – PSG and Monaco, and from some of Yohan’s comments, he wouldn’t mind joining either of those two clubs.
It’s really unbelievable the damage that Joe has caused, but it seems that Mike Ashley has closed him down – so to speak – since the end of that awful and embarrassing talkSPORT interview on Monday night.
It gives an extra challenge to manager Alan Pardew to try to settle down Yohan Cabaye and other French players when they report back to training in July.
But Kinnear is in charge of who goes and who stays at the club, that’s his new job, and he has already said that Yohan is going nowhere – but if Cabaye is turned off by Kinnear, the Frenchman may well try to force a move away from Tyneside.
And reports that Ben Arfa (or should we say Ben Afra) will be sold are unlikely to be true, although it seems very possible that Joe will try to move out players this summer who he feels are not just good enough.
That will hardly include Ben Arfa, who is a huge fan favorite.
And Joe has already called off the chase for Brazilian center-back Douglas, but who our number one target will be – we don’t know – since Alex Pearce singed a new contract with Reading for two years today.
So our article yesterday that he could become Newcastle’s number one center-back target was wrong – so maybe we are going after James Tomkins?
Your guess is as good as ours, but having Joe Kinnear make things so much worse at Newcastle in a couple of days earlier this week – is completely unacceptable – and his talents are simply not worth the huge baggage he brings to Newcastle.
Pity Mike Ashley couldn’t admit his huge mistake and terminate Joe’s contract tomorrow – that would work.
