Top Russian Clubs After Newcastle Winger

le10sport has a few exclusives out today, and two of them concern Newcastle United. Once is a quote from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’ father and agent Pierre, that he would like a quick move for his son, and the other concerns Sylvain Marveaux.

Sylvain Marveaux – wanted by top Russian clubs

The news is that both SKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow are keen on the Newcastle winger, and another club is also interested, but is not named in the report.

Using Google translate, which translates the French automatically, here’s what the article says:

After two seasons spent in Newcastle , the former player of Rennes , Sylvain Marveaux could leave the north of England during the transfer window. According to our information, the French midfielder several clubs interested in Russia .

According to a Russian source, Marveaux is particularly courted by CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow . However, another club whose identity has not filtered also came to information lately. To be continued …

Newcastle surely don’t want to lose this player, as he is one of the few players last season who enhanced his standing at the club, and most of our players didn’t play as well last season, as they had when we were in 5th place the season before.

Sylvain joined us on a free transfer from Stade Rennes two years ago, and his first season was dogged with injury, as his last season had also been at Rennes.

But when he was fit last season, he looked an excellent player for the Magpies, and had most assists for Newcastle last season.

We must keep Sylvain at Newcastle, and we assume Joe Kinnear will ensure that happens this summer.

Them russian clubs are willing to pay and we got marveaux on a free. I would try get a bidding war going and try squeeze 6-7 million for him and put it straight into the transfer kitty. There is a chuck of PEA paid of already 😉

Theres a bigger prize money on offer this year, why arent we doing anything? Sunderland, Soton and Liverpool have been busy and have gotten quality players. Logic says buy early to avoid entering into a bidding war with other clubs. Thought MA wouldve learnt this last seasons disaster.

No way. Marv has that ability to make things happen, I’d be gutted if he left. He just needs to steer clear of injuries he’d be a cracking player for us

we need marveaux, because he is only one number 10 in our team…HBA is best at RW, Sissoko isnt attacking player, Cabaye is too slow for number 10…if we can get Belhanda then he can go, but i want marveaux next season…with full pre-season he can be very important player next year….

Marveux really is our best CAM, great vision and tricky feet. Needs consistency though.

I think 6 m will be to low kevy. I would squeeze out 12 to 15 m€ for him. That is quality plus potential included. Russians have the money but few options. And it would allow us to buy Maher and Boudebouz. Hughes or Belhanda or Tadic other altetnatives we dream of getting.

Marv out – Benteke and.Boudebouz in would you do it Kets?

The best has to come from Marv, he has the talent. If only the manager realised this. How he could play Jonas ahead of Marv is beyond me.

he doesn’t get much playing time, injury prone and can’t put in a 90 minute game, sell him.

Imagine this blog when Pardew making the Del Bosque move next season taking out Cisse and bringing on Perch as striker while it is still a draw. If Perch still around.

Im not a massive fan of Marv, he does work hard to get time, however i dont think hes in pards plan and will always get sidelined for others, it may be best for him to move on… however he is one of a few CAM we have and how much a replacement cost that would be better than him? look at siem de jong isnt he valued at something in the 12million region, if so, getting 6 million for him isnt a sensible choice unless MA is willing to pump money into the club like never before.

Zero i am opposite to you, big fan of Marveaux…and for me, its pardew fault to play players out of position like Sissoko…i never forgive him to play perch before anita and jonas instead of marveaux…two very inteligent and quick small players…very good of the ball, still wants ball….our football looks different with them

irreplaceble is now only Messi,Ronaldo….and maybe some players are close to that like Ibrahimovic,Iniesta,Thiago Silva,Pirlo,Ribery,Schweinsteiger…i dont think we have some player of that class in our team

Toonfan8, i agree i could never make sense of pards team selections… how jonas got games every week is beyond all logic, we signed a great player in the form of Anita, who got the fans MoM three games in a row, then to be pretty much permantely dropped from the team?? Im sure if Marv could stave off injury and get playing time he will be a hell of a player, unfortunately i cannot see that happening under our current system, even though in the summer it was pards who said that signing anita was a giant coop and marv would be like a new signing… god only knows why they werent played.

I agree with you, only god knows how he could played mullins, harewood and mascherano, tevez on the bench 😀 for me he is good manager for stoke or that kind of football, but he isnt good enough for players like we have, we have big potential in our squad, but they underperformed. its pardews fault, players ouf of position and out of form like jonas…cisse half season on a wing, another joke….even with this squad we can play some exciting football

No doubt about that lineup but it will never get played for what ever complex pards has got…. i cringe at the thought of ‘experienced english players’ if he gets his own way we would be the next stoke playing hoof ball and a ruff em up style. At the end of the day im all for english TALENT but there is so little to choose from in our price range, we might as well buy young english players and bed them in through out his 8 year contract not get the likes of Bent

Pardew should have his arse kicked hard for the way he mistreated some of our better players – Marv is one, Gouf another – if we lose those players, it will be his fault! If they do leave, watch them double their value in their new clubs. If anything good can possibly come out of Kinnear’s appointment, it could be a wake up call for Pardew to start listening to others and through consensus, get a better decision making happening. (Ok, shite grammar, but I think you know what I’m trying to say). Marv needs to be played …and encouraged – attacking Mids are rare for a reason – we need to capitalise on the luck we have in having him.
