Breakthrough Season For These Two Newcastle Teenagers?

9:27 am, Saturday, July 6th, 2013 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 144 Comments

There’s no doubt that two of Newcastle top youngsters at the moment are 19 year-old Gael Bigirimana and 18 year-old local lad Adam Campbell.

gael bigirimana I did it Wigan

Gael Bigirimana – after scoring great goal against Wigan

Gael was signed from Coventry a year ago for £1M, and he made an impressive 25 appearances for Newcastle last season with one terrific goal against Wigan.

And Adam Campbell became the youngest player to ever play in Europe for Newcastle, when he came on as a sub at Atromitos last August, and Alan Pardew had him on the bench for the last few games of  the season, and he made 5 appearances for the side in total last season.

One reason James Perch was sold earlier this week to Wigan was because Gael can play very well in defensive midfield, and the England U20 International will be pushing for a starting place next season, as he continues to learn the ropes quickly on Tyneside.

Adam Campbell – small in stature but could become big player

And Adam Campbell was impressive in training last season, and certainly manager Alan Pardew has high hopes for the North Shields born teenager, and Adam should get a lot more first team appearances next season.

With his quickness, skill and eye for goal, Campbell will give Newcastle another option up front next season, and that’s what we need, as we found it difficult to score goals last season, after Demba Ba had left in January.

Here’s Bigi’s great goal against Wigan at St. James’ Park last season, just to remind us of how good this lad can become.

If Newcastle are to do well next season, then we’ll need to see both teenagers coming though big time on Tyneside.

What do you think?

  • 5 ToonDanno // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:34 AM

Torq- exactly. Everyone is ‘I want’ ATM without actually thinking anything through. We’re only 3-4 players off a great squad. And everything running smoothly mate :)

  • 6 jeff // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:35 AM

sorry didnot finish the sentence. He said there is a man of african descent with pointy hair and about 6 foot AT HIS SCHOOL. HE SAID HE LOOKED LIKE BONY

  • 7 Rotonda heights // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:35 AM

Despite the train wreck which is JFK and the incompetence and stubborness of Pardew, Carr has assembled quite an amazing team really.

We actually don’t need that many players to come in other than a striker.

    Krul

    Debs
    Colo
    M’Biwa
    Santon / Haidara

    Sissoko
    Anita / Tiote / Bigi

    Cabs

    Benny / Marveaux
    Cisse / Campbell
    Remy??? / Goofy

  • 8 jeff // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:36 AM

yea haha.just asked my pap.he got nothing from pardew although he has sent pardew a few email Mr pardew said he would read tomorow once he return from training

  • 14 Tommyy // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:44 AM

Tooarmydownsouth – Good job your opinion doesn’t matter then! He played for Hull, was very young and not ready for premier league football. He’s actually pretty quick and has improved immensely since then. I’d take him, he’s quick enough, powerful, direct and causes a hefty nuisance to defenders and can finish.

  • 20 bills-son // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:53 AM

Rotunda – Carr has assembled quite an amazing team. I take you mean Carr and nobody else?

So, Ashley who forked out the money and set the policy of buying young players near the end of their contracts for buttons, Llambias who negotiated the contracts and Pardew who sold the club to the players had nowt to do with the signings?

If you believe it is all down to Carr and Carr alone it just shows how biased your opinion is against Ashley and Pardew. They get blamed for everything and get credit for nothing.

  • 23 geordie157 // Jul 6, 2013 at 9:59 AM

I think Bigi has what it takes to go on and have a very good career at the top level. Campbell hopefully to but like most I’ve not seen much of him.

For me the big season rule applies to most of the squad, but in terms of the younger players its Vuckic I feel needs to stay injury free and turn that word potential into the real deal. I’d personally get him watching videos of Lampard as I think he’s got similar attributes (no pressure then).

  • 24 bills-son // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:01 AM

Rotunda – as for the great squad assembled by Carr. … Apart from Tiote not one of them has a physical presence and not one of them is a leader on the pitch. Good players, but imo the squad is distinvtly unbalanced for the rigours of the Prem.

Imo that is one of the reasons Kinnear has been brought in. Pardew wants some backbone in the squad but Carr apparently continues to recommend players who may be skilful but just add to the powderpuff part of the squad. Anita and Amaltifino are classic examples.

If Kinnear sorts this out he will have earned his money and proven his worth.

  • 25 jesperfuglsang - captain of the lemon crew // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:03 AM

I would send both of them on loan in the Championship next season!

  • 26 jeff // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:10 AM

    So we have

    Man U
    Chelsea
    Man City
    Arsenal
    Tottenham

    Liverpool

    Everton

    AND THEN BELOW THEM:

    Southampton
    West Ham
    Norwich
    Sunderland
    Swansea

also strengthening intensely. anyone else im forgetting

  • 27 Fostino // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:11 AM

got the a few weeks ago and is already on holiday in what is supposed to be the window to bring in players for the new season……what a joke of a man. he is turning us into a laughing stock. getting rid of perch, a decent backup english player for peanuts was folly..

  • 28 jeff // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:13 AM

west brom picking up anelka. villa making great signings. cardiff and hull doing some spending… crystal palace will be last. stoke changing their style. then we have fulham and newcastle doing nothing. kinda scared

  • 29 geordie157 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:18 AM

    Jeff

that’s the worrying thing, the teams from 7th/8th down to 15th are all busy and strengthening well.

  • 30 Spuggy // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:19 AM

How can joke be on holiday when the whole purpose of him being here is to recruit players??!??!? Madness.

Mind you he’s probably picking up the phone to arsene as we speak.

    Laughable.

  • 31 Laurent Robert 32 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:22 AM

    The wait continues…

If we were instructed with top coaching methods we could really see who fits where and what is needed, as I don’t think we’re anywhere near the ability collectively as those players should be playing.

It is simple footballing principles interlinking between players and involving lots of calculated movement. Movement which is of a positive nature.

We don’t see it. Game upon game I see the same things. Stationary players reacting to what has already happened, not anticipating their teammates’ actions.

That should be drilled into those players every day. If they’re not doing it, you continue showing them until they’re performing it confidently and effectively.

How can we work on ball retention when Pardew is practicing the panic defending which we see week in week out? If you’re not developing this during the week, you have no hope on game day.

The same disjointedness was there when we finished fifth, so this isn’t something which has just happened last year. It was more of the same, just without the points.

Whatever is happening in training, matchday is showing something is massively wrong with our coaching.

  • 32 Spuggy // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:24 AM

So with harps, Simmo and perchinho out we need a gk, LB, on top of the 2x striker (we wanted one on top of ba remember) and winger.

    5 players. Hmmm.

  • 33 Jamseyd24 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:24 AM

Guys, Campbell is not good enough, he need to go out on loan for a season.

  • 34 Spuggy // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:24 AM

    I meant RB of course.

  • 35 Laurent Robert 32 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:25 AM

Good coaching can make average players look good and bad coaching can make good players seem average.

  • 36 Spuggy // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM

IMO we need in priority order:

    1. Striker
    2. Winger
    3. Goalscoring ACM (backup striker)
    4. RB cover
    5. Gk cover

    Anyone agree or disagree?

  • 37 toon22 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:33 AM

It seems they are going to let the kids have a chance, imo a good thing. As if the ydont they might as well just get rid.Perch was a squad player so shouldnt bigi do some of what he used to do or others step in?
As for the club saying nothing especially AP i think its the right thing to do.We might not like it but we need the media to leave us alone imo.

As for JK i hope he keeps sprouting the drivel he usually spouts. It means the attention isnt on the team, maybe for the first time in decades we can have a pre season where they can actually focus on getting the team sorted.Even if that means with who we have.

  • 38 geordie157 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:45 AM

I liked Perchy but we have Bigi, Anita who can get more games now in the middle.

Be interesting which youngsters can force their way into the team. Although Sammy and Tav definitely need to be loaned out.

  • 39 geordie157 // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:47 AM

    Siem De Jong
    Wijnaldum

  • 40 Black and White with an army lol // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:54 AM

i think it’s looking quite obvious that MA & co don’t wan’t to bring in players, we’ve heard nothing from no body except from JFK and we all know how much BS comes out of his mouth, look at it this way and lets few the squad……

    GK – Krull, Elliot, Alnwick
    RB – R.Taylor ( injured ) Debuchy
    LB – Santon, Haidara
CB – Colo, S.Taylor, Willo, MYM
CM – Cabaye, Tiote, Anita, Bigi, Gosling, Sissoko
Wings – HBA, Marv, Obertan, Jonas, Sammy, Fergy
AMC – Cabaye, Sissoko, HBA, Marv, Vuckic
STK – Cisse, Shola, Campbell, Goofy

MA will see this team and think he will only need a RB considering Raylor is out all this season.

  • 41 colwell // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:55 AM

2 of my mates have put £10 each on us to go down (neither support Newcastle) I tried to argue my case, but didn’t have a great one to be honest.

With the Guarantee’s that HBA,Cabaye (if still here) will have time out injured, the squad smaller, everything going on behind the scenes which atm we know f**K all about, which is strange considering Pards loves his own voice.

Pards still in charge, lack of ambition, teams around us strengthening. I have to admit things look pretty shite right now. The teams around us strengthening

  • 43 Mister Tuff // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:59 AM

Somebody posted earlier that they wondered how long JK was on holiday for. I understand that he’ll be away for a weeks’ holiday in Africa staying at a safari lodge right next to the River Zambesi. What is more I understand that the holiday was a gift to JK from Percy – this seems to indicate that the hatchet has been well and truly buried. A good gesture on behalf of Percy. Apparently JK, because of his health problems, was concerned about the heat -however he has been assured by Percy that the heat is not that overwhelming and there is the opportunity to cool down by having a swim in the river.
    excellent stuff.

Alright lads, I dont post on here much, but I do read it every day. For me personally, I just wish the club didnt give every other team supporter in the country the ammunition to take the p..s out of us. It seems we bungle from one disaster to another and never appear to have any stability. Every time it appears that we turn a corner and things quieten down for us, off we go again with another PR disaster. Look at things right now, most clubs are trying to strengthen their sides, but for us… silence, no communication from the club trying to allay our fears, no wonder fans are discontented. Really sad dont you think

I know mate, When you look at teams like Saints after Leandro Damião for 20m and Swansea after Bony, West Ham signing Carroll and after Bony the teams that finished above us are spending big, p*ss take.

  • 48 mikeashleyisamackem // Jul 6, 2013 at 11:09 AM

newcastle are not gonna be signing anybody in this window ,remember we have less games this season and everton did the same think last year and they are better off for it i believe this is what newcastle will do ,if we do get anyone it will be to replace a player who has left ,also what is the point a keeping obertan gosling and ameobi as they will never make it as a newcastle united player or they would a done it by now ,ameobi is never gonna suddenly become the player he could a been imo a wasted talent ,this is just painfull at newcastle what is right tho is its a joke in here ,thats for sure if i played for a club not my home town and this was there circus act i would be on to my agent saying get me outta here

from previous thread-I hope you are correct as regarding impending players coming to nufc and patience is a virtue.but I think your talking bollocks about players being signed up by the mid table teams not fit enough to start in our first eleven.
look at Norwich-van winkel and Redmond.
    Swansea amassing a mint squad.
the board admitted mistakes were made last summer with not strengthening, players were bought in January I know but it still doesn’t amass to our income over our expenditure.
we are a laughing stock season in season out, my mates range between mancs and chelski supporters to Leicester to forest fans and all voice the same degrading opinion of how we are run not just as club but as a business

ASIA FOR THE ASIANS, AFRICA FOR THE AFRICANS, WHITE COUNTRIES FOR EVERYBODY!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

Do we know for certain that Kinnearache is on is hols? I mean, shouldn’t the 8 1/2 years he’s had out of work, over the last 9, be enough r ‘n’ r? If he is, then it’s just an abdication of his duties, or perhaps a concession that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and already needs some time to reflect and gather his thoughts, to return reinvented, finally enlightened at 66 and knuckle down with a fresh and humble attitude. ;)

    Black & White,

    Lol. Maybe.

Nah, Shola will be away. He won’t get a game here this season.

I said back in January he will be off this summer because of his age and the new players coming in. And also young Adam Campbell will be coming off the bench.

Not trying to be an itk, but the writing is on the wall for him really.

    He’s had a good innings.

Anyone who thinks we won’t be signing players this summer I reckon are way off. The only person who won’t be replaced is Danny Simpson and that’s because Anita can slot in there.

Anita will be playing Perch’s role this coming season in my own personal opinion. Pardew already stated at the end of last season Anita will have a much more pivotal role this season coming.

He wasn’t needed last season with the players we had available. He was unlucky but Pardew favoured Perch/Tiote. That’s the way the cookie crumbles. Tiote was shocking by the way.

Personally, and I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t have much confidence in Joe Kinnear bringing players in. It’s the quality of the said players im worried about. It’s a hell of a new role for him.

In the past ten years the only work he has did is manage us for 5 months. Who on earth can he know? And what contacts can he have? The games moved on. Aye, he can pick up a phone. But does he know how to go on in this new job? He has zero experience in this role he has managed to talk himself into.

I hope we are not expected to see him through his learning curve, and for his sake, he better hit the ground running.

The players are back and there is zero players in. The planning is shocking and whoever they wanted in should of been in by now to give them time to jel. Everyone needs a good pre-season.

Joe should be cancelling this holiday and getting this football club ready for next season.

  • 94 Jayk // Jul 6, 2013 at 12:24 PM

Freedom isn’t free. You people disrespect the untold numbers of people who fought for this country. Who bled for their wives and children, that they would have a future. You owe everything to these people as you wouldn’t be here without them. You wouldn’t have the high standards of living you now take for granted.

You are all sheepish drones who’ve never had to fight for anything in your’ lives. Why stand up for anything, when it’s easier to plonk your’ arse on the couch and watch the football? It’s easy to circle jerk and revel in your subjective notion of morality, and piss away your’ identity an democracy.

You need to stand up for who you are. We are, all of us, seeds of the great, majestic oak tree that is our country. The oak grows us, nurtures us from naked babes, shapes our lives and our moral objectivity. The seeds are the tree, it’s fruit and future, like the people are the nation, it’s face and future. We are it’s life blood, we are what makes England, not the earth but the people.

We are giving England away. What it means to be English is nothing anymore. It’s just a streak of land like any other. Inhabited by afraid, lost, faceless zombies, who live for periodic forms of escapism like football and drugs.

You have pissed on your ancestors. They have given you a home, a country, an identity. You have destroyed the unity and team ethic nations once had. When it was safe to walk the street, when people smiled and waved, when you could trust your neighbour because you had common interests. You where bound by an ideal, by kinship and blood. Now all we have is selfish greed and misanthropy. We hate ourselves and our culture. How naïve you people are. To disrespect our own culture and expect our youth to respect the cultures of others.

We are a team, a nation, and we should start acting like it. “The best results come when everyone does what is best for themselves AND the group” John Nash the laws of governing economics.

I think Jonas looked something like his old barnstorming self, in the final match against Arsenal, which grants him some slack. He wouldn’t be in my first 11 any more, but he was once my favourite player, his attitude and commitment is first rate, you only have to see what it meant to him to score that headed goal and his tweet the other day, to realise he’s a guy with a degree of moral fibre and cares, which is seldom seen in the modern game. He’s already a folk hero in my eyes and I hope that Pardew doesn’t persist with him, because I think one of the main reasons for his downward turn is exhaustion – probably mentally more than physically – if he’s used in dribs and drabs and off the bench, he’ll do a good job helping closing games out and hopefully, he’ll be gradually rejuvenated and provide a final, sparkling issue of vintage Spiderman!

  • 101 Jayk // Jul 6, 2013 at 12:36 PM

Football relies on collectivism and identity. Why go threw all the pain and heart ache of supporting Newcastle United, if not feel part of the group?

Human beings are naturally tribal. It’s how we evolved to work together and form close bonds. Because a football fan is loyal to a certain team doesn’t mean they want to destroy other teams. They need other teams otherwise their team means nothing. It’s the same with Nationalism. But when someone proclaims loyalty to their race and country, they are a fascist and a supremacist?

You feel no unity in this country anymore, we are divided. By supporting a football club we become part of a tribe, we expose ourselves to that unity. I want the same for the country, that bond. That is somehow immoral in your eyes? You confused sheep.

Surely you two sad trolls have something better to go on fine day like today?

    Prodigy
    To replace shola?
Hmm well I’d like to see us bring in remy/gameiro or even better splash the cash and get dzeko!

  • 105 pawl250 // Jul 6, 2013 at 12:39 PM

I would take Remy De Jong or Gameiro

All decent players we have Danno saying Remy and De Jong.

And this new source of Gameiro.

We will see but don’t see why everyone has the need to panic!

Or why people are spouting of about Jayk, by giving him attention you only increase his need to post further. Simply ignore and he will stop posting!

Lets take a minute and evaluate some signings mentioned on here.

The only 1 I am bothered about right now, abit gutted about in the PL is Okore to Villa.

RVW, Redmond, Kone who gives a flook?

Torq is right, they may not challenge for our 1st team places. Kone was strictly a back up, as he may play at Everton under Martinez.

Redmond, can you honestly see him getting in our midfield competing against the likes of Cabaye, Tiote, Anita, Sissoko, Marveaux and Ben Arfa? Really?

RVW, personally think this lad will flop! Never understood the interest on this blog for him. For the amount he was bought for I wonder why other teams stayed clear, us included. I see him being average player!

Altidore why are people so bothered! Infact that goes for all Sunderland signings. Have they event spent 10m and they have 6-7 players! That’s worrying.

People who say we did the same Gouffran, Mbiwa, Sissoko, Debuchy and Haidara amounted to 18m-20!! Two of them cheap due to last 6 month on contract (Sissoko and Gouffran).

Big difference considering most have played top level football. I mean in that 10m or less 2m was Mannone a keeper that struggled to keep a place at Arsenal, despite numerous chances! I mean its not hard for a keeper to get a chance at Arsenal these days, yet he was dropped and Arsenal normally have 70% possession in a game. That means he made errors when needed most. And he will be needed 10x more in a Sunderland goal.
You also need to remember these “free” signings they have made will likely be on par with Amalfitano, and had to be made as they allowed 2-3 players to leave on a free in an already paper thin squad, even compared to ours! They also sold their most influential player to Liverpool, Mignolet! Had it not been for him they were relegated last year!

Everton are strengthening? Really? Who have they signed? They are talks of losing there best 2 players Fellaini and Baines, yet Kone will replace them? LOL

People need to calm down! I expect City, United, Chelsea Arsenal and Liverpool to add, and big! They do every season!

I am not scared of any of the other PL acquisitions I mean Andy Carroll to West Ham maybe the only signing they make! If he gets injured its well spent!

Other clubs have not signed anyone!

    Spurs
    Stoke
    West Brom only Anelka
    West Ham only Carroll
    Arsenal
    Palace only Gayle oooo scary!

I mean look yourselves as it sounds to em everyone is over reacting over rumoured signings. Even Swansea with Bony, which is not a done deal yet have Shelvey as there marquee signing lol if we had signed Shelvey he is no better or worse than Obertan! They are average players, rejected from big clubs. Pass please!

Hope we get Remy and De Jong, would be enough for me!

Best way to treat JayK is to totally ignore him.
Campbell is 18 years old 5’3″ and in a schoolboys body, inadequate for the PL, he has talent but is 2 years away from being on the bench. Get him out on loan to a club with proficient coaches, ours will not do him any good.

  • 115 Toon-Prodigy // Jul 6, 2013 at 1:04 PM

Suppose it all depends on the tactics Pardew wants to deploy this season.

This is another thing were is this report JK is on holiday?

Is it press garbage? Because if it is you lot are so gullible! Stop worrying FFS!

3 players out, oh aye that would be 3 players that would not get in a fully fit Newcastle team. Harper 3rd choice, Danny Simpson back up, possibly 3rd if Santon moves over to Rb and Haidara left. Oh and Perch a good squad player but hardly Messi! He just fills the gap, as far as I am aware Anita, Bigi are better candidates for the job? In midfield and defence he will be be 3rd pick!

We have lost no one worthy of note other than a good squad player, soemthing other players could also do if needed I mean Anita is versatile, as is Mbiwa and Santon and Jonas. He wasn’t the only 1! Not to mention Sissoko can play DM with another slotting in the front gap I.e Marv or Gouffran!

Jesus you lot would think its the final week! We have plenty time, a decent squad for the competitions we are in. EL allowed others to gain experience to improve last season. We have a good squad just 2-3 players off.

We are a top 10 team! In my opinion of course but you need to calm down.

Plenty of time, lets not rush in our targets and get another Xisco! Remy and De Jong are still available and both would be healthy buys.

Whether it happens or not we will get another striker, even JK opened his mouth and said it on his first day so he is aware before any meeting took place!

Take it easy! As for him on holiday don’t believe everything you read! You lot would believe tomorrow is Tueaday if the tabloids wrote it!

Percy being silent/MIA for 23 days -must be a good shout for an entry into the Guinness Book of Records.

  • 120 Mister Tuff // Jul 6, 2013 at 1:18 PM

Some are querying JK’s holiday -I posted the below post earlier on this subject.
    Mister Tuff // Jul 6, 2013 at 10:59 AM

    Pawl,

Have you finished? Could you be anymore condescending? Insulting? Haha.

3 players out of a squad that’s already small in stature. 3 reliable players. Not world beaters, but decent.

Apparantly, we have a list of targets and only one bid has been submitted that we are aware of, only for it to be pulled out again.

I believe we will sign players, but every passing day is a lost day on the training ground and if that dosn’t concern you then it should.

Every passing day at the moment suggests that we really have no plan at all and Carr’s list is gathering dust.

This is all becoming pointless. Regardless of who we sign we’ll be midtable at best. Poor manager, poor owner, poor coaching, poor academy. So the way I see it, if we reconcile ourselves to this, anything we achieve will be a pleasant surprise.

I don’t expect any decent signings so I won’t be disappointed if we don’t make any.

I don’t expect good football so I won’t be disappointed when we don’t play good football.

A truly apathetic approach is the name of the game until Ashley sells up.

Anything better than mediocrity should be seen as a bonus.

I think we spend to survive and retain our place in the cash cow that is the Premier League, that is our ambition. Dreams of one day challenging for a place in the Champions League should be put to bed and forgotten about. If we could offer Ashley mid table this coming season and every season after that he’d snap our hands off.

Pardew will tow the party line as always knowing that he could have easily been sacked in May, the guy knows that this is the biggest job he’s ever had and ever likely to have and he’s not gonna rock the boat

Where’s Ket’s when you want him?

Reports have Toby Alderweireld agent saying the player could be on his way to Norwich!

    Lol,

    Can’t help but think..

Wouldn’t it be mint if he could say what he really thinks and feels, instead of the soap opera which we are spoon fed.

Look forward to hearing it. Im intrigued to see if he welcomes Joe to the club and will enjoy working along side him.

    @137

Kets is probably having his hernia sorted out after hearing that news.

Why is this Jayk tw@ still talking tripe. He should have been banned last time. I would love to meet the little scrote.

Norwich sign van Wolfswinkle and could be signing Toby Alderweireld while we are looking at Darren Bent?

    Something is very wrong there!

Again I am sorry but not every team has bought all their players for the new season. Some wait until deadline day!

Yes pre season is important but we bought 5 players in January and we have lost 4 since then! According to my mathematics we are +1 compared to last season, have a better squad for (minus Ba as he needs replaced which before window I believe he will) AND we have had more than just 1 pre season to gel these 5 players into the team, plus a pre season ….. That means we are better off than last year with +1 first team player, more experience for a younger fringe players I.e Campbell, Bigi, Vuckic, Sammy and we aren’t in EL!

Ok am the one that is being stupid though!

    Perch Simpson Ba and Harper!

Ba is the only starter, Simpson is replaced with Debuchy/Haidara (as stated Santon swapping sides) and Perch is replaced with Sissoko, Mbiwa.

Ba is really the only non replaced member.

Goalkeepers as far as my understanding goes is the coach stated the young Alnwick is good enough now and will be a suitable back up behind Elliot and Krul.

So am I still crazy to think we are better off this year and than last with still a whole pre season and transfer window to go?

Oh and JK twitter reports LOL please if that’s evidence get the guy to post pictures or an interview! I know I would have photos to prove it all, and I would be selling them to the sun not posting on twitter!

Oh wait no he’s in Africa that’s right, so bottom line is no one knows for sure just reading or believing the tripe you are told! Typical!

Would love for him to Monday to Tuesday come out and talk to the public lol ….. What would be the excuse the holiday is 2 days long, or he came back early!

Do you really think he is on holiday at This time
Or perhaps consider if he is the job he is doing can be delegated or MA step in as the plans are in place? This is a football club not a second hand shoe shop! Some people like stirring the pot, but all you are doing is upsetting yourself in process.

Likelyhood is we will sign 2-3 players before the window ends and its standard! Means we have more players than last year (we already do unless we sell more), a more competitive squad (better players now compared to last year and youngsters have more experience), and less matches no travelling to Greece early doors, allows us to take it easy!

Time will tell but am confident on top 10. No evidence to think otherwise.

Anyone talking to me about bad position last year well look at the year before that and the year following on any given season that can happen what’s to say we won’t finish 7th this year and 15th the following year!

Injuries played a part last year, that much is apparent! You didn’t see other teams have the entire starting 11 out at somepoint during December, in 1 month alone all 11 players missed 1 game! That is a problem! Sorry but that plays a big part to why we finished were we did, our team and bench were full of youngsters with no PL experience. We even called Dummett back from loan it was that bad!

People relax take it easy! Its less than 8 days into the window and everyone is having breakdowns! Lol

Jayk is it hard to type with your hood falling over your eyes? Just deal with the fact that in another 200 years if we are still here we will all be brown. No white, no black, just brown :)

ok i wouldnt exactly say people where panicking ,the point is the club has known since january that we needed to replace ba and they knew about ba s contract and it was inevitable someone was gonna evoke his contract clause ,they stated in january we missed out on remy due to playing hard ball and a wee bit ott in trying to save money ,to me it looks like they have not learned from andy carroll again we sold him for 35 million and again we waited nearly 6 months for his replacement a free transfer ba ,we have since made 7 million on top of that and we still havent bought a striker for any decent money, granted we signed cisse but even when carroll was at the club we stated we where looking for a partner for carroll so what goes on .
