NUFC Fans United Arrange Another Meeting With Newcastle Officials

The Newcastle United fan organization NUFC Fans United have arranged another meeting with Newcastle officials to discuss some of the questions the fans have.

Joe Kinnear – may be he will attend the meeting

The first meeting was held last month on June 23rd, and there were various questions asked – but the meting got a little rowdy and the plan this time is that questions will be presented to the Newcastle officials at the meeting.

The meeting will once again be held at The Labour Club at 11 Leazes Park Rd, NE1 4PF, and it’s from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm and Newcastle have been invited to send a representative to the meeting, but exactly who will attend is not yet known.

Hey, maybe it will be Joe Kinnear?

This is what NFC Fans United are saying about the meeting a week on Wednesday:

“It will be an open meeting, but following on from last month’s rather boisterous do, there will be no open floor – only questions and statements submitted in advance. It would be good to see as many fans there as possible, and if you have any agenda items to submit, please send them to nufcfansutd@gmail.com”

At the last meeting Media Relations manager Wendy Taylor and the new Supporter Liaison Officer Lee Marshall attended on behalf of the club.

It’s very good that this fan organization is trying to open up the communication lines with the club, because that’s exactly what’s needed at the moment, and has been since Mike Ashley bought the club, so if you have any questions (or statements),  please sent them to NUFC Fans United at nufcfansutd@gmail.com.

i’m of the opinion that whilst the debt was taken over it just moved around and it is getting larger never reducing hey don’t shoot me.doesn’t this mean ashley will be here to the death and we will owe him billions. i merely state thing as they way i see it ,judge for yourselves 3 or 4 years down the line. i for one am not happy.
but the detractors will slag me time will tell

I wonder why you think any of us owe or will owe Mashley any money ever. We are not shareholders. It is his toy therefore his profit or loss. If he makes stupid decisions that lose money, it’s his money. I’m sure he will sell when it suits.

So you don’t want big offers accepted for our players but you argue Ashley shouldn’t invest anymore of his own money into the club whilst also arguing the club is running at a loss
So where are we supposed to magically pull finds from?
    Can’t have it both ways

Wow lee Ryder with a breaking exclusive 24 hours after the Lyon president confirmed it!!!

    Rooster
The old argument of leeds n pompey n wolves n blackburn n middlesboro should not be forgot about, they are sunk, their fans havnt to much to look forward to, its been said of course it has, MA makes hard to take decisions we know that but he does it in the best interesta of his business, unpopular decisions he is not afraid of, the fella will do what he thinks best, we are still building as a club, its not the end of the world we arnt busted. Just remember it could always be worse, pompey v mansfield sounds mouthwatering dosnt it ?!?!?!

No offence mate but why the hell do people assume because fans want to see ambition that were going to “do a Leeds”
    That is absolute BS
No one is saying run out and spend £70 million each window, no one is screaming for marquee signings but sensible investment like the academy and sensible squad strengthening
Do you really think we can’t invest a few million this window? Heaven forbid we ” do a Swansea”

    Sir toon
Nothing like a bit of wild speculation
How do you know cisse doesn’t want out

    Sage
There’s no reason we can’t invest it’s ridiculous

So if we sign Gomis what are you all going to complain about then? Seems to be a lot of hate for aspects of the club you supposedly love.

i just think a club what makes as much as we do in tv deals and then a record club deal with wonga…followed by around 50/60mil in tickets sales (£20 x 25 x19) should be making more inroads into players in the transfer window.

well by all accounts he saved 0.5-1mil on debuchy…is that really worth it in the grand scheme of things? i dont think so.

i dont mind if we sold players…spurs keep selling their big players…berbatov, keane, modric, carrick etc….they just invest well and at the right time. We need to do the same.

Cheers just think there are too many double standards in regards to MA’s policy by supporters
Some seem more keen on the books others like myself couldn’t care less about the books, in fact how will the accounts ever improve whilst MA continues to make bizarre appointments and hold out on transfers all of which emulates itself in to the form of the complete s**t we had to watch last season

    Sir Toon
Will have to take your word on that
I’ve heard demba wanted a fair contract not one riddled with goal bonuses he couldn’t achieve from the wing and get out clauses
Also heard he was a very popular lad and is still in contact with most the team especially cabaye

Why? Because we want to see progression? Or ambition? Or not go into the season with only one CF who’s used as a CF?

Goofy will on be played as a CF next season if we invest in width, if we don’t then he will still be used wide and we still need a CF
Either way you look at it investment is needed that’s there for all to see its got nout to do with wanting mega bucks spent

Tads, with respect tje window isnt finished, if the club was run wrong then like those others we would be knackered, it is run very well from within the restraints of the club at this moment, the more yoy build the mire you can spend, its easy to say just pump another 70 million and we are getting near sorted, hes said many times NUfC is being run within itself, go outside of that and it could go backwards, with dept to follow , no guarantees, we just cant do what the top 4/6 are doing transfer wise at thus moment, we all want purples ( ouch) just be Wee bit tgankful that we are healthy Nd remember its MA’s money not financed like the old days, we now go and buy players with cash, ten in fact in the last 13 months. U nay think its BS i dont, itsgrowinas a business and a football club. Your opinion taken on board, but its not mine.

i think we will see bafetimbi gomis come in, and another striker (bent?), and we will try to keep our remaining players and that will be our business done, i wouldnt be too saddened by that though we do need a winger

I believe MA invests in the team when he feel he has to,,,,not when the rest of us would suggest he should do. Hence last summers debacle, January’s panic and the current situation. I sadly believe we will buy no-one this summer….he’ll play “wait and see” and react next January if necessary.

personally i would take gomis think he’s a very good player as it is and will improve our team without a doubt.
players of his physique tend to do well in the prem also i.e. lukaku/benteke not saying that gomis is near as good but that they tend to be better in the prem.

if goofy is played as a striker “if” i think gomis would do it for me if we keep cisse ! cisse/gomis/goofy/cambell seems a pretty good bet to me but imo we need a left winger for sure.

i will judge the window on september 2nd…ideally players in early but nothing major if they come in end of august.

I appreciate there are costs, maintenance, travel, wages, scouting, etc etc…so not all that is for transfers…..but my point was mainly we get the same tv money (more as we are on tv more) than swansea/westham…but we will have bigger tickets sales and merchandise that those so not sure how they now outspend us…surely they arent just racking up huge debts? or maybe they are…i just cant see us being the only club doing things right/safe and playing by the rules.

But that’s not my opinion in the slightest
I said no one is asking for £70 mil to be pumped in but proper and sensible investment just like every single top flight team in any top flight league in the world has to do when needed to maintain there top flight status
I never said do what the top 4 do I said the likes of west ham Swansea Norwich the scum villa Fulham all do and strengthen as appropriate
Never once did I say that all signings had to be “purples” there is such thing as squad depth
The debt is either being paid off by the new sponsorship deal or extra TV revenue, if its not then it should be available to the club no?
But yet the debt hovers as the same
And yeah the argument that if we spend we will do a Leeds is complete and utter BS

under the last sky deal every position was worth £800,000 in the league so the difference between finishing 5th and 16th last season meant our revenue was down nearly 9million.so does anyone know how much it will be this season
