I swear to god pardew must have a stunt double that goes to the matches and then he comes out with a post match summarisation which bears no reflection on the game whatsoever.

If he saw positives in that game then all is lost…what’s positive about being three nil down in 15 mins…don’t tell me…we won the last 75 minutes and were on the front foot all that time.

Jeese Ed! Chill out and put the coffee down eh?

Its hilarious you think HE’S blind

It’s time for the older fringe players, to be moved on.

Starting with Jonas, then Shola, then Wilo.

Worst case, Jonas stays but is a squad player and comes off the bench. Which under Pardew is never going to happen.

  • 5 ilovetoon8788 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:17 AM

Pardew does have a point. There were more positives than negative perhaps.

But the problem is, he has said that before even in competitive matches all over last season. What’s the use of only seeing the positives but it doesn’t translate to wins? It’s the same old story of last season which he mentioned the exact stuff he said after losses in a number of games.

Either that, or he just prefers to wear his rainbow specs.

Which means he has serious issues to tackle ahead of the season. He has to know, that result is all that matters. Good luck to him. He’s gonna need it.

    Sparky,
Could you explain your comments last night on Pardew and not Mike Ashley being to blame for the lack of activity in the transfer market.

  • 7 thai-mag // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:19 AM

our best hope is jonas gets injured before the season starts, but knowing our luck that wont happen

“The club’s a disgrace. We’re never going to win anything. 1/4 of our players are terrible.” Kets 20/7/2013

We are as good as relegated already – lost to a second string Portuguese team in a friendly with half a side out.

This along with the rest of the totally negative crap spouted on here and the stupid prickly pear advert – ( I mean who thinks advertising prickly pear on a football blog is good marketing ? )- is why the Toon will never win anything – constant moaning, slagging off other folk with different views, world falling in before the season starts … Well maybe some of us have just got the club we deserve .. so, so negative..
What would there be to whinge about if we won 5-0 ? Guys would moan about seeing Pardew’s Fist Pump five times a game.

And the stupid stupid signings put forward on here. Benteke is at Villa with a shiny new contract.
Siem de Jong has said he is staying at Ajax.

Get real – we can only atttract mediocre payers and managers because we are a mid ranking. Live with it doomsayers. We are not Barca. We are not Dortmund.

  • 10 geordie157 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:21 AM

With Alnwick needed to go out on loan. Krul a bit injury prone in the past few years, is the need for another keeper now also a must this summer??

So ST x 2, Winger, GK and CB in order of priority.

The CB and GK can be young players but with experience ie Harry Maguire and maybe someone like Wes Foderingham. So they wouldn’t cost much.

Choking on ‘is ‘ula ‘oops while w@nking over sewpa kev is too good for jeff.

  • 12 JackButler // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:23 AM

Jonas is gonna be a starter every week if fit, don’t get your hopes up that it’ll be any different.

The only thing that Pardew has done over the summer is get himself a tan, same tactic’s, same delusional selections, same pathetic excuses but a different season.

Hold onto your hats boys and girls it’s gonna be another painful ride ;)

  • 13 Jail for Ashley // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:24 AM

    Yo yo,
And that last post of yours just oozed positivity :0

  • 14 geordie157 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:25 AM

yo-yo, some good comments there. Especially the prickly pear!! I still think its possible to attract some top quality to the side, as is proved by the additions of Ben Arfa and Mbiwa, plus others.

  • 15 SeanNufc87 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:27 AM

Jesus H. You pardew haters are tedious.

  • 16 Jail for Ashley // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:28 AM

A whopping € 5 to see the lads play next in the 5000 capacity stadium on Tuesday night, how the mighty have fallen.

  • 17 croftus5678 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:28 AM

in attack we played well looking at those highlights !

defence was terrible though saylor and williamson need shooting !

mbiwa/collo are our only 2 decent cb’s atm after those we are in trouble.

  • 18 jazzyp // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM

    JfA

You of all people should appreciate irony, though I expect you get sucked down by the negativity on here too. Bit like a feeding frenzy

  • 20 GeordieDan // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:31 AM

Is it really the time for penny pinching Ashley lovers?

Running the club correctly is he?

We now have Gouffran and Campbell as our only recognised strikers yet your Cockney Messiah does sweet FA whilst pocketing all the new TV money, sponsorship money (the supposed reason we’re losing Cisse).

Yeah yeah the transfer window isn’t closed yet but we’re half way through pre-season with players ‘learning’ to play with players like Cabaye who’ll be gone to Man U, Ben Arfa who is (hopefully not) possibly off to Liverfools.

How do we practice set plays like corners when we have none of the strikers we need yet!?!

How do our remaining midfielders learn about the runs and qualities of the incoming (surely???) forwards if they haven’t played with them before?!?

Unless we get 3 strikers in this week (unless Cisse stays) then we will go to Man City and get obliterated!

No sane person runs a club like this. Mike Ashley is a megalomaniac, a ruthless dictator and a complete ******.

  • 21 JackButler // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:32 AM

To be honest we lost a friendly game that at this point in our pre season we are far more interested and focused on fitness levels, results in pre season are meaningless to a certain extent, its what we do come the start of the season that counts

  • 22 toon kk // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:34 AM

We’re in for a long hard season.

  • 23 Ian Toon // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:34 AM

Geordie Dan – Are you one of the 70% under 30′s I quoted earlier.

  • 24 Bring Back Laurent Robert // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:34 AM

Baggsy I’ve got the 7-0 to Man City prediction.

Nope. Unfortunately I’m very much over 30. :(

  • 28 Ketsbaia9 // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:42 AM

That Dummett looks very poor. Where was our defence when they scored? Willo is useless. Our team’s a shambles.

  • 29 GeordieDan // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:44 AM

I haven’t as much lost my patience these days and basically just lost a lot of the love MY club NUFC.

Its very hard to find something to love about it these days and I never ever thought I’d feel like that.

I’ll always be immeasurably proud to be born and bread in Newcastle and wear the Black and White but what’s there to like about a team that has never felt so disconnected from us fans?

I’m struggling to put my heart into it now after way over 30 years of bleeding black and white and I blame Mike Ashley 100% for making me genuinely embarrassed to be associated with him and the club soul he’s destroying day by day.

  • 30 SpaceGhost // Jul 21, 2013 at 10:51 AM

    Sparky55

How is it u said we’re down 3 nil in the first 15 min when their 3rd goal was scored on the 26th? *facepalm*

Anyways, keep calm, its just a friendly. Man City lost both their friendlies so far. A lot of strong clubs have been defeated by smaller teams. Nothing new. All about monitoring fitness level & experimenting tactically.

  • 31 oldbobaycliffe // Jul 21, 2013 at 11:50 AM

as a team with one of the worst defences in the pl two friendly matches with 5 goals against us doesn,t inspire confidence.nor doed trying to bring mick harford in.what for
