This Is Newcastle’s New Home Kit

10:07 am, Monday, July 22nd, 2013 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 55 Comments

Here is the potential new home strip being worn by Kevin Mbabu – but we have not idea if it’s authentic.

kevin mbabu

Kevin Mbabu with recent new signing at Newcastle :D

We had a feeling the Wonga sign would be blue, since we’ve also seen the insignia as black in some versions of the home kit.

OK, what do you think of it?

this article was whipped up in like five seconds tops – and is around four days late to boot

“And we had a felling the Wonga sigfn would be bleu, sonce we’;ve also seen the insignia as black in some versions of the hom,e kit.

OK, what do you think of it?”

i mean you could at least proofread.

I thought the WONGA logo was going to be in black, that looked much better.

  • 4 sweendog // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:12 AM

I reckon we need Cisse to stay as well as Remy and Gomis .. they could be a deadly front 3 .. imagine them and Arfa/Cabaye/Tiote behind .. thats a top 6 team there .. if Tiote gets his mojo back..

  • 5 richyg01 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:13 AM

Seriously, WTF, whats your beef with Ed today like?

  • 6 JFK junior // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:13 AM

TS – I’d imagine the club would have done their homework on the remy case, and last I heard off of some journo somewhere was that they weren’t even sure that Remy is subject to a charge or not. And that he was only linked via associated persons.

But who knows what will happen.

Remy signing, and Gomis to replace shola is a huge upgrade, and will surely improve moral on this place.

I hope so anyway…it’s dire right now!

  • 7 Slank // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:13 AM

That’s not Campbell he is holding is it?

  • 8 RonVanDam // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:16 AM

    @7 Hahaha nice one Slank

  • 9 ToonDarnSarf // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:17 AM

I’m with you. I hope the club has been waiting on Remy until they know what will happen with the court case. We’ve had more than enough criminals in our club in recent years…

  • 10 JFK junior // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:17 AM

Jeff – Pipe down! If you don’t like it, log off and don’t put yourself through reading the articles, and US through reading your utter drivel!

Richy – I’m with you mate! Preferred the blacked out logo myself.

  • 11 Transfer Sage // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:19 AM

Exactly. In any other profession you would be suspended until the outcome was decided. He may be innocent but until we know if he will be charged or not we should stay clear.

QPR also will want to sell not loan as it will be impossible moving him if he was convicted once on loan and they’d be stuck with him.

  • 12 Transfer Sage // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:20 AM

    Taken from BBC sport

Joe Kinnear is close to making his first appointment since being named Newcastle’s director of football last month, with Mick Harford set to be named as his assistant. The 54-year-old former Luton Town and Rotherham manager will not be involved in first team affairs but will instead concentrate on scouting and recruitment alongside Kinnear.
Harford is currently working as a coach at Millwall but it is understood his official title at St James’ Park will be assistant to the director of football.

I like this place but i hate articles like the last two which are basically just put out for ad revenue. The blog is completely littered with ads and only have the page is actually used for content

Just bugs me, especially since people say ed only does the blog for us. Sure it does benefit us, but it benefits him much more $$$

  • 14 nut meg // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:21 AM

    Slank @7
    nice one hee hee

  • 15 richyg01 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:21 AM

HERE is the link re. Gomis offer and talk on Remy.

  • 16 Slank // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:22 AM

Why don’t you use an Ad Blocker?

I don’t have any ads appearing.

  • 17 ToonDarnSarf // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:24 AM

Why has this page automatically redirected to a porn site twice on my iPad?? Frustrating…is that what you meant Jeff?

  • 18 jeff // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:24 AM

Slank this site and youtube were the reasons i got adblock haha, but im on my ipad atm. It takes a fair while to load the page on this device and it just pisses me off that most of the time is spent loading these damned sleazy ass ads

  • 19 Slank // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:27 AM

‘..Why has this page automatically redirected to a porn site twice on my iPad?? Frustrating..’

Surely Jeff shouldn’t be frustrated now if he has gone to the same porn site?

  • 20 Lilongwe Geordie // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:28 AM

    “redirected” Course ;-)

  • 21 Jeff541 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:28 AM

Am I the only one who doesnt believe this is the new kit? To me it just looks like last seasons kit with the sponsership changed……..Surely not even MA would allow the U21 squad where the nerw kit before it is officially launched or worn by the first team.

  • 22 Roose Trollton // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:29 AM

Jeff… If ed putting out pointless articles is annoying you then frankly he should keep doing it. Good work ed!

  • 23 richyg01 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM

I think the Ads are related to your internet history mate.

  • 24 Levi // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM

if it bothers you mate just push that little cross in the top right corner and dont come back.

  • 25 leavemyarselona // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:33 AM

    Jeff take a hike

  • 26 Jamiemac // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:35 AM

Mick Hartford’s move has fallen through.

  • 27 ToonDarnSarf // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:35 AM

I can understand the ads and I’ve no problem with Ed covering costs and getting some profit for the time he puts in, but I don’t want to read any more double standards about language or content when I see links to “local slags” dating sites or get redirected to a porn site thank you very much.

  • 28 Bring Back Laurent Robert // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:36 AM

I’m sure if Cisse wasn’t angling for a move already, it is crossing his mind now, with the total disrespect he’s being shown by his own supposed fans. The latest? NUFC fan on Twitter furtively taking pictures of him in casino and captioning “Top Muslim.”, with a host of idiots retweeting it and adding their misinformed jibes – I’m sure it’ll get back to Cisse.

  • 29 WWYCD // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:37 AM

    Celebrate good times come on!!

  • 30 skipwallsend1977 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:37 AM

Rumours of Harfords ‘job’ falling through and Richard Branson might be after buying the club. Probably tosh like

  • 31 ToonDarnSarf // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:37 AM

If they did, I’d have kept quiet about it! Besides, my iPad is on private browsing at all times as I use it for work too!

  • 32 John Tudor // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:37 AM

wow !!!!!!where is that i don’t ever get those sites

  • 33 Tommyy // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:38 AM

Richyg01 – Haha they are indeed! Uh oh ToonDarnSard.

On a serious note, what is going on? What the hell are these guys priorities? Jobs for the boys or actually getting some fcuking work done and get some bodies in we need. We don’t need some mug for lower league scouting yet, that can be sorted after we have strengthened. I’m beyond sick of it now, and anyone sticking up for this regime and anyone involved in it should be put against a wall and shot. We’re a club run by a bunch of has been burks who were never any good in their day, we’re now falling so far behind our rivals in terms of infrastructure and management it’s frightening.

I now expect us to be in a relegation dogfight, no two ways about it. We’re unbalanced, lack heart and leadership and have no distinct playing style or culture. When we get outplayed, outfought and outthought on a near weekly basis will the powers that be then decide enough is enough? Because the fans certainly will, unless of
Course they’ve all be successfully lobotomised by then.

  • 34 Ibizatoon // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:39 AM

You want to talk frustration, I keep trying to get on porn sites and get redirected back to you lot….

  • 35 Tommyy // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:39 AM

I hope his move has fallen through, a role we don’t need at this time let alone filled by him.

  • 36 jeff // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:40 AM

LEvi if u were familiar with ipads youd find the cross is in the top left

Ah nice to see another jeff here

  • 37 Ibizatoon // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:41 AM

skipwallsend…I may have believed that first bit of news until you mentioned Richard Branson…oh well :)

  • 38 remy D // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:41 AM

Because you have been on there non stop looking at cock and haven’t deleted the history

  • 39 Lilongwe Geordie // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:42 AM

If Harford’s job has fallen through then it is probably cause Ashley has just discovered he would have to pay Millwall compensation to get him!

  • 40 skipwallsend1977 // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:43 AM

Ibiza, I believe the Harford one but the Branson things off tw@tter so like I said, prob tosh.
    Would be good tho!

  • 41 Toon-Prodigy // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:43 AM

Wey aye it’s the new top. Do people think Kevin just knocked it up in his kitchen like.

Would of much prefered the Wonga in black like.

We finally have movement this window, in joes own time. Does anyone think Cisse is away? Gomis and Remy in?

  • 42 toonthompson // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:44 AM

Mick Harford’s move to #nufc has fallen through. More to follow.

    From lee Ryder

  • 43 Ibizatoon // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:45 AM

“I spoke to Joe on Friday, and he has some important meetings.”….snigger

  • 44 Tommyy // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:45 AM

I’m also unfazed about Cabaye leaving (if he is/does) I’ve been disappointed with his performance almost everytime he sets foot on that pitch bar a few top drawer games. For me he’s a cultured Barton without the leadership qualities. Too slow and not mobile enough to be the focal midfielder.

  • 45 Slank // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:46 AM

‘….I keep trying to get on porn sites and get redirected back to you lot….’

Perhaps keepy uppy has more than one meaning!

  • 46 Tommyy // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:47 AM

Lilongwe – Probably true, that or the package on offer is less than that he is on at Milwall currently.

  • 47 Ibizatoon // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:47 AM

Skip…If the first one is true, then we’ve definitely used up our daily quote of good news. Actually, it may be our weekly quota…

Prodigy…For all we know he’s quite handy with a needle and thread…let’s not jump to conclusions :)

  • 48 Transfer Sage // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:47 AM

with our current side i wouldn’t mind seeing a line up like this

    ——–ben arfa–marv———

very narrow with the width from the fullbacks…let anita cover for the one going forward and sissoko hold the midfield when needed.

  • 49 Ibizatoon // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:49 AM

    Slank.. Perhaps so :)

  • 50 Mark29Hungary // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:52 AM

Black or blue wonga, it’s not important!

    It’s a simple Juve shirt…

    Nothing individual, nothing special. :(

  • 51 Rotonda heights // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:52 AM

That is 100% my team, man for man. In pardewland though it will be Saylor, Jonas and Tiote you do know that don’t you?

  • 52 Transfer Sage // Jul 22, 2013 at 10:56 AM

yeh i do…but i dont mind tiote and saylor…not a fan of jonas though

  • 53 Toon-Prodigy // Jul 22, 2013 at 11:01 AM

He must be quite the machinist a nah haha.

Slightly worried about Cisse. Dosn’t look good at this moment in time.

Ikea are doing a sewing machine for under £40 his mam might have got one for her birthday and made the top for him. for Christmas she’s getting a knitting machine so he can get the new socks too.

  • 55 EastEndMagpie // Jul 22, 2013 at 7:13 PM

Play a front 3 of Remy, Gomis and Cisse?

Do you have a clue about football mate?

you wouldnt be able to play those 3 together at all, and putting HBA in a midfiled 3?? my god….

you would clearly play either Cisse or Gomis as your focal point, with HBA and Remy on the wings, and a midfield 3 of Cabs, Tiote/Anita and Sissoko, Gomis/Cisse, Marveux, Gouffran, Vuckic, Cambell all being options from the bench… or we could play with 2 up top, but in my opinion that leaves our midfield wide open and also means one of our midfield 3 have to drop out, which I think would be a sure fire way of getting sh@t on even more, plus I also think that an on form trio of Sissoko, Cabaye and Tiote would be arguably one of the best midfields in the league….

If this was reality on august 19th I would be very happy tbh… only thing we’d need then is a left sided winger or 2 and a defender like kayoute and we’d be sorted.

Everyone panicking so bad about signings when in reality we only really need 4 players if that, sure I’d like to have seen 1 or 2 by now, but other teams spending loads cos they have too, we already have a great team aslong as we dont sell anyone, or if we do replace adequately…. Gomis, Remy, Kayoute, Sinclair and we would be sorted tbh… we dont need to go buy 9 players…..
