Alan Pardew has named a changed starting eleven from the one that started last game on Tuesday night at Ibrox, and Rob Elliot, Mapou Yanga-Mabiwa and in-form Shola Ameobi are all in the starting line-up.
The Newcastle manager has said that the team needs to show more threat up front, and Pardew starts a 4-4-2 formation tonight with Shola and Papiss Cisse the two men up front.
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa gets another chance to show he should start alongside Fabricio Coloccini in nine days time, when Newcastle start the season at Manchester City, who were rather easily beaten 3-1 by an impressive looking Arsenal in Helsinki today.
There are ten substitutes on the bench for Newcastle, and expect Alan Pardew to give a game to as many of the subs as he can.
As expected new boy Loic Remy is not on the bench, although he could be a sub in nine days time, if he can get fit enough by that time.
This is the final pre-season game for Newcastle, and we need to see a good display against a very decent Braga side, with the lads looking a lot more dangerous up front than we did at Ibrox against Rangers in the 1-1 draw on Tuesday night.
