Bad news today that new singing Loic Remy could be a month away from playing for Newcastle united, and that’s the l;ast thing we want to hear this morning.
Hello – I am Loic Remy
When Remy was first interviewed last week after signing he admitted to a calf problem, after undergoing a medical on Tyneside, and apparently Newcastle had not known about that slight in jury.
But that slight injury is not looking so slight any more and manager Alan Pardew spilled the beans today:.
“Remy is still on the road to recovery.” “Man City will come too soon, and so might West Ham and Fulham. “It’s becoming increasingly likely he will be unavailable – he’s not kicked a ball yet, and only been running.”
“It’s very important that we make sure he’s right,” “It was a good work out for us. A lot of players played 45 minutes.” “I think we needed a game more than a training session, and one or two were ready for that, people like Obertan and Gosling.”
“It was a good game played in good spirit. We’re getting the players right.”
It is important not to rush Remy into playing as that could rebound and the first thing is to get that calf injury cleared up.
So maybe Remy will make his first appearance for Newcastle at Aston Villa on September 14th – and that’s even more reason why Joe Kinnear has to bring in another striker as soon as possible.
Over to you Joe.
