Here are the highlights and all four goals from the match tonight – where Newcastle United were humbled 4-0 by Manchester City – the same result as last season – but Newcastle were lot worse tonight than we were last season.

Is that Pardew shifting the blame ? , well I never .

What message is that to the rest of the team that without Cabaye we can’t get a result . I am going to write out a list of all of his excuses and staple them to his forehead .

Actions speak louder than words you incompetent moron .

  • 9 Toonacious T // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:28 PM

^Tiote, Debuchey, Taylor, Sissoko, Anita, Cisse were all poor tonight. Pardew claimed we was a fret at two nil. Did we even have a shot on target? He is delusional.

  • 10 ToonDownSouth // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:30 PM

    TKF

Do you really think that Pardew would be sacked if we lost to West Ham? He’s pretty much unsackable it seems. He survived the summer, which means he’ll be here for the next 50 years at least.

  • 11 JackButler // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:30 PM

The mind of Alan Pardew is a fickled one, full of lie’s, spin, confusion and self belief. Sigmund Freud would have had a bloody field day with him

    TDS

    in regard to last post.

because your not going to games or sitting late after will really help? ashley will forget 100m and just sell up because your being noisy outside the ground?

the only thing it does is make us look more like a joke, upset the players, and ashley reduces the transfer budget again to cover the loss. well played, we won that round.

maybe next time we can remove all revenue for our club and become boro.

i HATE ashley n the way hes going on but to not support the team is just letting the fat bag of crap collect while we lose a massive part of us, so whats the point?

the best way imo is to go to the games, sing your heart out and voice your opinions that way, standing outside the ground will do nothing but bring publicity that we dont need.

  • 13 JackButler // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:31 PM

James McCarthy and Ince in if Cabaye goes???

Oh wait ……………….we don’t operate that way do we

  • 14 hotdog // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:31 PM

Highlights. Bloody lowlights ED :-) I’m off to bed hopefully I will dream about the ball watching for the first goal. The fact that nobody was within 10yards of decko for the flick through on the second and that cisse and Anita in the wall…..well words fail me!!!!!

  • 15 Toonfan8 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:32 PM

so if Cabaye wants to go, then let him go, for 20M…bring Erikssen, better and younger player and Ince too….14M Erikssen and 6 Ince and we are much better…Pardew is joke manager, Tiote, Saylor, Debuchy, Jonas every one of them is not good enough…
    santon,mym,colo,dummet
    hba.sissoko..anita..erikssen
    …..cisse……remy

Eriksen is ready for transfer, but Ashley wont inverst :(

  • 16 Tino asprilla // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:33 PM

I think ap will develop a backbone and walk if cabaye goes he looked close to tears in that interview

  • 17 james589 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:33 PM

Watched the whole game and I can tell you there were exactly 0 highlights.

Unless we’re counting Krul’s awesome saves, the rebounds from which, more often than not, were unsuccessfully dealt with by the defence and resulted in a goal. Would have been at least 8 without Krul though.

And anyone (Pardew included) who thinks another striker will solve our issues needs to look at the service Cissé got tonight. Every ball forwards was a hopeless punt or held onto too long by Ben Arfa before being turned over. Cissé had a poor game and I felt he looked disinterested (shades of Shola strolling around), but in fairness he was completely isolated and the lack of creativity from the squad was disturbing.

  • 18 Toonacious T // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:33 PM

I think Dummet was the only player to come out of tonight’s game with a good deal of credit, Pards will probably drop him for West Ham then. Seriously though, another limp display tonight, something has to give. This embarrassment must stop, we are a laughing stock. City aside, we have no pattern of play, bereft of ideas. I despair!

  • 19 ToonDownSouth // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:34 PM

    Sean

3 years ago Liverpool were in a state under their owners, who were taking money from the club and running up a crazy debt.

The fans protested and protested, inside the ground, outside the ground, and in the media. Their owners sold up, and now three years later they’ve got a great sporting project going and everyone is united and following the same direction.

I think your assumption that protesting isn’t a good thing is very wrong.

As for Ashley’s money he’s owed, that would simply add to the selling price of the club – he bought the club on the super cheap in the first place.

  • 20 Zero // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:34 PM

So we are a team that look completely at sea, we have needed new signings all of the transfer window but have seen no significant progress, and are now looking at selling one of our top players with nodoubt no replacement in mind!

the fact ashley has said comeback with 20+million is bad, liverpool and manchester utd have all stood their ground so far says NO hes our player now do one… we however look set to give into player power and let cabs go… whos next im sure we could get a great price for Krul, HBA, santon and cisse… MA why not just sell them all and buy noone, hell we will be in the championship next year but then you could leave the club with the parachute payment money and call it even!

  • 21 kevymartins // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:34 PM

Jonas will prob miss a few matches aswell.

  • 22 Beattie25 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:35 PM

    Sean

Lets go through your post bit by bit:

“im usually quite timid on this blog compared to on other social media, but shut the fcuk up.”

Does this mean on other social networking sites you’re a rude little prick?

“there are NO supporters of the regime, just people who dont look at everything through an emotional teenagers glasses.”

Obviously you don’t attend games, interact with other fans or visit this site often enough to know that the regime does have support out there. Also it is better to be an emotionally invested individual that sees the world through teenagers glasses than a whiny little tosspot who obviously watches from the comfort of an armchair tutting throughout a match before quickly turning over to watch the only way is Essex/made in Chelsea/keeping up with the kardashians as soon as the game is over.

“nobody wants ashley most didnt/dont want pardew but we are stuck with him.”

Correction. Some people actually think Ashley has done good and will continue to do good for this club. Pardew has some staunch support also from many nufc fans. Also you are never stuck with something just because you feel weak against their power. They could be removed if enough people realised it.

“its people like you that make our club look like crap, our biggest stock is the fact we have an amazing fan base, if you lose us our team is just another sunderland.”

You’re obviously living in the mid to late 90?s, early 2000?s. Our stock as a mighty fanbase has fallen considerably. We are now looked upon as a laughing stock. We are just a gropinofmstaunch supporters that turn up no matter what and that respect we once had died away a long time ago. Just because you turn up and sing loudly doesn’t make you the best fan in the world. You say if the fans weren’t here the team would be another Sunderland. Well what good is a brilliant fanbase if it stands still as it is fleeced, abused and corrupted by the people that should be caring for it? What good is a fanbase if the team they support is not worthy of them? We may become another Sunderland without the fans but without the quality team we deserve we might as well be another Pompey. Die hard fans that are fcuked over again and again and sit by and take it.

“your not supporting the team, your not supporting the manager, your not supporting board, tell me what team you support and ill show you a liar.”

I support Newcastle united which is bigger than any player, any group of players that make a team, any owner, managing director, manager or other employee. It’s a inheritance of broken dreams, a current dip that has the making of a sinking ship but an ideal to work towards for a better future. What are you doing supporting this club if that’s not what you want?

“i know sunderland fans who think more of our club than you”

And what do you think I think of our club?

  • 23 Offkey // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:36 PM

It could have been worse I suppose and Dummett was sound. Our brand of ‘affordable football’ is a wonder to behold.

  • 24 stuart no9 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:36 PM

you cant just blame pardew for this league 3 side he has put together, Ashley – kinnear- pardew , look at those 3 names, 3 names that wouldnt know class if a big concrete slab fell from the sky with class written all over it, and hit them on the head, the 3 have to go, newcastle will not recover from this ,and if they do , it will be half a dozen games from now but they will be rooted to the bottom of the league and will be too late anyway,
People who know football will probably know , tonight they have witnessed the worst team the prem has ever seen with the worst perfomance the prem has ever seen, tonight was ashleys night , his 5 year plan starting to take effect, the 5 years he has predicted it will take before nufc are the laughing stock of world football and not give us a sniff of a chance to to rectify it.
Dont think because 52000 fans turn up at SJP for the next game it will make them play better – it wont, this performance has shaped us for the season- the long miserable season ahead,
We were lucky tonight – it should have been 8 , if i was the man city manager i would be ripping into my team for wasting so many chances, luckily it wasnt man u or chelsea we were playing.
The 3 wise men have to go . what is needed is boycotts demos , riots who cares , they have to be removed now, BOYCOTT.
    181 BennygivesmeTinglyBalls // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:18 PM

Wish we had sold Tiote instead of Perch. Pardew is clueless , I wish Ashley would have sorted this out earlier, offering him an 8 year contract was bonkers. If we had someone like Laudrup as manager, life would be so positive
    182 West Lancs Geordie // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:19 PM

Get real all you optimists. We are officially a selling club. Cabs is on his way to whoever but we won’t have a replacement lined up. Why did we not start recruiting in June because Ashley has no intention of spending. Who of any substance is going to be attracted to us? WE are already in a relegation dogfight. Injuries pre kick off Remy, Santon now Guti. Taylor banned for 3. Sold 3 Englishmen in key cover areas – not replaced. Willo, Obertan, Gosling and several more not good enough even to offload (nobody wants them). If we are going to have to rely on youngsters why let Campbell & Ferguson go out on loan. There was no passion tonight & one of the few Englishmen we have was stupid & naive. From Cabs money must spend wisely : Tom Ince £8M (young, quick, goals & English) Then we must trawl big clubs for loan players : Milner, Vermalen, Lescott even Ba. Think £15M for McCarthy would be too much.Forget Gomis . But batten down the hatches we are in for a real bumpy ride but whats new with this regime?
    183 BandB // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:21 PM

    Ibiza,

No bedtime story for you chucky egg. I have a lullaby for you though.

“Keep ye feet still Ibiza hinny, let’s be happy through the night.
“For we mightn’t be so happy through the day.
And give ‘us this bit comfort, keep ye feet still Ibiza lad.
I wadn’t drive ya bonny dreams away.

I remember you last summer when you were vastly less on the fence. A neat trick.
King of the Five-Year-Plan and Negger-Finder-General, I recall.
You haven’t changed. You are just more subtle.
    184 wynsleap // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:26 PM

In nearly 60 years of watching the Toon rarely have I seen a full back display as bad as Debuchy’s tonight.
The people who slagged off Danny Simpson should be hanging their heads in shame tonight as the lad never had a game anywhere near as bad as that in his time at the Toon.
Even a young kid came on at left full back for his first ever first team performance and made him look like an amateur.
People say that Cisse looked disinterested. Wouldn’t you with that level of service and response. The guy was made to look foolish wandering around on his own up front.
Why take Ben Arfa off – he looked fit and hungry and made some decent runs. Anita is second rate at best.
Taylor is finished at this club in my opinion. Never fully fit he has now developed into a player who runs around the defensive area like a headless chicken and still hasn’t learned to keep his arms by his side.
Felt sorry for Tim Krul tonight – without four fabulous saves we would have been looking at a total massacre. His body language seemed to suggest he wasn’t exactly impressed with the team’s performance.
We now know that we need two strikers, a decent right back and also a creative midfielder seeing as poor pussy Cabaye didn’t ‘get his head right’ for tonight. Bravery of the first order from our overhyped Monsieur.
This club is up to it’s neck in impending disaster. Fans must mobilise to get Ashley OUT of Toon or we are going to be the biggest laughing stock in Premiership history.

    Health Update – 25 July, 2013

Last week I had a battery of medical tests completed, and they still show my PSA count as undetectable, which indicates the prostate cancer is still under control and there is no trace of it in the body.

And I have completed the two years of hormone treatment since the prostatectomy, so it now gets into an interesting period, according to the specialists, but I hope not too interesting.

What does this mean to you the reader – it means the blog will continue for at least another six months – until I get my next set of tests.

Hopefully by then Newcastle will be in the top six

    What Is A Football Club?

“What is a club in any case?”

“Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it.

It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes.”

“It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.”

“It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

    Sorry but no.
What makes us look like a joke is pretty much every nufc decision ashley has ever made.
Oh and pardews tactics and comments.
    And JFKs interviews.

But going to a match and singing your heart out will make us look better.
Oh who got rid of the singing section?
    Ashley needs to go asap

How can fans go and sing, Ashley has broken up all the singing sections and turned SJP into a morgue

    timkrulfan

so the whan the new manager gets told he is not allowed to choose his players that is left to joker and aslong as the starting 11 are eperieced enough he has to use youngsters or cheap obatan type players and finally that if cashley wants to sell a player he can the manager will still accept the job.
your having a laugh we instead will get that boss of Blackburn last year or joke Kinnear.

Ashley please, sell this great football club…please sell this club and then new owner can fired Pardew and Kinnear out…these three clowns need to go out ASAP….

  • 30 james589 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:44 PM

It’s 1 result, let’s not all jump on the ever-present Ashley out bandwagon just yet.

His response to Arsenal’s bid was pretty good to be fair: “which part of him do you want?”

My concern is I think Cabaye is seen not just by fans but also his fellow players as integral to the squad. If he leaves others may be headed for the exit too. We brought good, international standard footballers in on the premise of top 5 challenges and bigger and better things. Those footballers are not currently playing to their potential. Something needs to change but I’m not convinced it needs to be as drastic as ousting the owner, manager etc.

Retaining Cabaye would send out a real message of intent and have a great effect on the squad. Selling him could be catastrophic in terms of ten ripple effect (and, let’s be honest, in terms of the lack of replacement).

  • 31 Toonfan8 // Aug 19, 2013 at 11:49 PM

    james589
minimum is that Pardew has to be sacked now….team is underperforming, he has his players who have to play and underperformed all time Tiote,Jonas,Saylor…and Debuchy is going to be another one….defense looks very bad, attack too, midfield should be our strongest part, but with Jonas and Tiote this never be the strongest part…
