Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In 0-0 Draw Against West Ham

nufc emblemwest-ham-united-crest

Let us know who you think was our best player in Newcastle’s 0-0 draw against the Hammers today – in what was a disappointing performance from the lads, and a disappointing game, although Newcastle upped the pace in the second half and Gouffran missed from four yards out (or was it three) when he somehow hit the ball over the bar, deep into injury time.

    Yet another repost

Must say I had the pleasure of not having been subjected to the abysmal performance that by all accounts, was rolled out today.

How did Anita and Marveaux play? Well enough to keep Tiote and Jonas out of the team?

    On norwegian TV before the match the commentator said;
“Newcastle has the most loyal fans in the world”. Refering to last season and the entertainment we’ve got on SJP.
    He also said during the match;
“It’s never been this quite on SJP before”.
Ashley is ruining our club with good help from Pardew.

We have not scored a goal on our own grass since Fulham were beatin 1-0. Truly pathetic!

the real delusionish on this site are you’s who want pardew out.

this is fvck mike Ashley we are owned by not a fvcken oil rich arab pardew is an average manager who is stuck with this dick of an owner.

MANAGERS WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHO THEY WILL BUY FOR THEIR TEAMS
THIS OWNER WILL NEVER GET A FVCKEN DECENT MANAGER.
CABAYE RIGHT NOW IS NOT PLAYING SIMPLY BECAUSE THE OWNER TOLD THE MANAGER AS HE WANT HIM NOT TO GET INJURED.

My MOM would be Anita today. I think he did his defensive duties well, kept the ball moving quickly and player a few decent long balls through, particularly for Gouffran.

On the game itself. I think we were ok today. Neither side did enough to win it, only two good chances, Nolan and Gouffran. Both missed so 0-0 sums it up.

We still struggled to create and I think HBA was too impatient with shooting too often. We need the pace of remy in the side and another option up top as both shola an cisse look off the pace currently, both taking top much time and struggling to control it.

I genuinely believe with a striker and winger (ideally a new CB to push today’s pairing) we could really move up a level. Not champs league but look like a safe top ten side and maybe even challenge for 7th.

I have seen enough today for me to say I’m happier with pardew, he’s obviously not perfect but to me it looks like he is trying to evolve a bit and learn to get the assig going better.

now tell me how amazing marveaux is and that he should be starting every week after that performance.

on the bright side anita showed hes decent with sissoko in midfield. tatcically though we were terrible, we desperately need wingers and another striker.

benny looks like a number 10 or a wide player in 4-3-3 formation. so jealous watching west ham with jarvis. he’s the type of player we need

REPOST: @Ruddy: Anita played brilliantly. A little bit rusty but he picked up towards the end. Marveaux blew hot and cold but some beautiful passing from him, his corners were great but our finishing was complete dross. He looked a bit tired on the hour mark, his crosses were struggling beyond the first man etc.

I’d play the same team against Fulham but knowing Pardew…

    Positives.,,,
    Clean sheet
Defence played well at most times.
Patient on the ball for once (until final third)
    Negatives…
    16 shots 0 on target
    Shite in the final third
    Poor decisions
    Ameobi is horse shite
Pardew made poor substitutes yet again.
    Cisse was where???
    Frustrating display all round.

Anita played it simple. Far more intelligent on the pitch than Tiote. He justifies the lack of physics with clever movement and simple passing.

Marveaux wasn’t good. Pardew doesn’t know how to use attacking midfielders as wingers, unfortunately.

Ed’s going so fast but for Ruddy

The encouraging thing were the performances of Anita, Marveaux and M’Biwa, but you know in Pardewland they will all get dropped or M’Biwa played out of position again without a second thought for Tiote, Jonas and Saylor to waltz back in.

Cisse and Shola weren’t at their sharpest but neither had a chance today. West Ham crowded the box but I would start by looking at the supply line. Ben Arfa’s failure to whip a ball in despite 10 good opportunities was agony to watch.

What was wrong with subs? Cisse struggling and gouff got a couple good chances just fluffed them.

Not a fan of Sammy but he came on and did quite well, Marv was too quite on the left side.

Today showed we can play well in 4-4-2

We just need those two signings (striker, winger).

Anita and Sissoko are our future in the middle of the park, thank god ShiOTE and Jonas the Donkey were injured because they always bring down the team yet get picked week in week out by Pardumb .

Sadly though, I highly doubt that old piece of cow dump (JOKE) will sign anyone this window.

Anita is grossly overrated, sad to say, because I liked him when he first arrived. Best player today was Mbiwa. No chances created all game, long shots all day long, and pathetic, off-target ones to boot. A disgusting performance from a disgusting, cynical, money-grabbing, sleazy mob.

I don’t think sacking Pardew is a good idea at this moment.
Too fast to decide this team with just 2 games this season and Pardew hasn’t got the players and the squad he wants because of JFK and Cabaye.
We have to wait and see until about the first 10 games.

Besides I don’t think we can get a better manager than Pardew because we have Mike Ashley.
Well Pardew doesn’t have enough ideas to create great football but still has the trust from the players.
I think if we sack Pardew,Ben Arfa might say he wants to leave and cause a situation like Cabaye is doing right now.
I think if we sack Pardew at this early stage of the season,we will be relegated.

    And my MOM is Anita.

Most managers in europe doesn’t choose the players the club buy. The old manager model where they bought, sold and scouted… that’s history mate.

Honestly thought we were alright. Not great in te final third but that’s difficult with two out of form strikers who aren’t moving well to create opportunities for passes into them.

We kept the ball better, played played more as a team, got more people forward, defended well (only let them have one good chance).

Sure we weren’t great but we looked better.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE…still only 3 points off second place! Too be honest I’m hoping that the fact we didn’t win today might just push them into a couple of signings this week – last thing we need is to get sat down near the bottom for too long – here’s hoping!!!

And maybe I’m also the few guys saying we were not good but not bad today.
Just lacking the quality in the final third, good passes and crosses, movement inside the box.
Well actually this is the huge problem we have for a long time.

Better quality with the passes and crosses in the final third and I believe Cisse will score.

Sammi played very well – he was given the ‘make something happen’ remit, and responded with an energetic, direct cameo with a touch of flair. He’s still not ready to start but he was unlucky not to score from a ridiculous angle.

The thing about M’biwa is that he is easily the best CB and LB we have at the club. If Santon could defend at all, we could see M’biwa slot into CB and Taylor on the bench.

As for Jonas and Tiote…pfft I give up trying to understand why he starts them a long time ago.
