Newcastle play Morecambe FC tomorrow night at 7:45 pm, and we are hoping that Alan Pardew can field a strong side tomorrow night at the Globe Arena, so we have a chance to progress to the third round of the Capital One Cup.
The League Cup is our best chance to win a trophy for the first time since we won the Inter-City Fairs Cup back in 1969, when Bobby Moncur captained the side, and if Birmingham City (league Cup) and Wigan Athletic (FAS Cup) can win the local Cups these last couple of years, and be relegated at the same time, surely Newcastle can – and break our forty five year duck – and not be relegated.
Since we have much less games this season than last, because we are not in Europe, then we assume Pardew will field a strong side tomorrow night, because nothing can be taken for granted in these games, although we will probably see players like Rob Elliot, Paul Dummett, Dan Gosling, Yoan Gouffran and Haris Vuckic all get starts.
Let us know what team you would start tomorrow night, and let’s know what you think the result will be.
Now I have to do some household chores – like cut the grass – see you later.

Comment #2So since Kinnear has come in he has cancelled a deal for quality centre back cover (Douglas) , signed an injured player and fluffed a few deals which seemed formalities.
How does anyone expect me not to hate this man from the bottom of my heart? He is a pathetic excuse for a human being

I agree m8 . On Kagawa I think it is a disgrace that the likes of Cleverly and Wellbeck get in the team ahead of him . Same with Hernandez.
I think the main reason they bought him was because they had sold Park and needed another Asian player to keep up appearances with their worldwide fans in that continent. Shame like because Dortmund are probably my fave team after NUFC and when they had :
————Gundogan——–Bender————
——–Reus———-Gotze——–Kagawa—-
——————-Lewandowski—————–
It was a thing of beauty to watch . However they actually replace players well when they sell them, i.e. Mkhitaryan for Gotze & PEA for Kagawa .
Yet here we are still not having replaced Ba FFS.

Comment #4Pardews track record against lower league opposition has been abysmal . Two losses to Brighton and embarrassed by Stevenage .

Comment #6Ed…Cutting grass you say…was that in preparation for comments tomorrow about how the grass lost us the game?
Things are bleak right now, but surely we’ll win this game tomorrow? Right?

Comment #9BPC…. In fairness they was both in the fa cup, not the league cup. We’re usually too tired when the fa cup roles around to actually compete in it.

Comment #27@25, not many sports films worth watching to be honest, most of them are shabby at best, but that one was good. I personnaly have a soft spot for ‘Escape to Victory’ (or just ‘Victory’ in the States), as it is the perfect lads movie, it’s about both War, and Football. It is really a dreadfull movie, that falls into the ‘so bad, it’s brilliant’ cattegory though. Worth watching just for Pele’s overhead kick, a healthy reminder that despite the viagra adverts, Pele could once up a time, get it up!

Comment #28We look like Sunday league team. With no game plan.
Morecambe will be a tough game. We must do better than West ham to win this game. Same performance standard as the last, and we’d nick a draw if we are lucky.

Comment #29strolla the amoeba will be rested for his start vs Fulham. Vuckic should def start this match.
A draw will be a good result as the Shrimps will raise their game & we are stuck in a Pardew rut and will never threaten to nab a goal til Remy’s fit and marv plays CAM free central role.

Comment #30Pardew MUST put out the First team and completely destroy Morecombe to build up morale and get our players in the habit of scoring!!! This way if we do finish 15th at least we can have a cup run and maybe a trophy!!!!

Comment #32Lads I know this is getting away from the article….but don’t you think that when Ba left in January and we couldn’t get Remy, that we would/should have bid and sealed the deal for PEA, rather than wait until the summer and offski he went to Dortmund, just a thought!!
I’m not sure how I want tomorrow to go, I we win great….but if we lose how much damage will that do morale and the team as whole, Pardew is close to the sack, which I believe will come at the end of the international break, not before it because we work things backwards. Boycotting is the only thing that makes sense to me though lads, it’s painful without my season ticket this year but I know in the long run it will be beneficial to take some pain now

Saylor and Willo are both out. 1 suspended, the other injured.
The team should be
Krul
Debuchy Colo MYM Santon
Anita Sissoko
Ben Arfa Marveaux Gouffran
Cisse
That same team should then start against Fulham. Let’s get a bit of rhythm and consistency, as well as allowing the defence to learn as a unit, Anita and Sissoko to work as a pair and Cisse to hopefully boost his confidence.
Obviously Pards has already said he will play squad players, so I expect Dummet in, Sammi and Vuckic in, Bigi and Gosling starting. Elliot in goal.

Gouf and Cisse could both do with a goal.
Think Vuckic deserves a chance in the hole.
I know Sammyobi will play, so no point in leaving him out.
May as well rest Sissoko and Anita. Can’t really risk inuring either of those with Cabaye expected to leave. And Tiote out of form / injured
