The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #1Sammy Ameobi by far for me.
Did everything you could ask of him. The lad showed marvoux how to fight for you place….if he continues to put that effort in I’d have no problem with him in the side over jonas and marv.

Comment #2If sammy could work on getting his head up and delivering into the box then he could be a decent prospect as he certainly causes problems for full backs.

Elliot was impressive, made good saves…I’ve never felt let down by him to be honest. Good solid number 2 keeper.

Comment #11I voted for Sammy as he actually tried hard and caused problems
BUT he needs to improve his crossing and finishing and we could have a decent player on our hands !
Gosling done well, Dummett and Good as well they got a roller coaster journey with the opposition putting them under serious pressure !
In the first half our long ball tactics did not work but we got a lot better although worry about Debuchy, Marveux and Mbiwa they struggled and at times did not fancy the physical battle at all

double bid of 15mil for Ba and Moses would really help us this season I feel. Chelsea might be tempted as they have a lot of players ahead of those two and they will want games.

Comment #13Gosling put in a good shift. Would like to see him get 20 minutes on Saturday aswell. Instead of dissapearing until the next round.

Comment #14I think we should try to reintegrate gosling, has great desire, something we chronically lack
dummett seems a great prospect to me
good played well, was the better of the two centre halves
sammy still doesnt convince me, seems too clumsy for top level football
debuchy scares me, seems a liability
marveaux looks disinterested
elliot seems a more than adequate krul understudy
we desperately need creativity, without HBA we would have none, got both assists tonight
our two inexperienced player looked our better defenders, overall not massively impressed by our french contingent, minus ben arfa

this year I think should be the year where Sammy starts getting used as a sub most games and possibly even start the odd one or two if Jonas is injured and we still have not brought in another winger
my team for the Fulham match

subs
Jonas-Sammy
cisse-shola/goufran
sissoko-gosling/marvo
of course this is all considering that we don’t bring in any more forwards or wingers or a new cabaye

Comment #19@Transfer Sage – Sorry but I thought Sammy was awful. Gave away the ball in stupid places, lost the ball when starting so many moves, terrible control, really poor decisions (head down charge is pure schoolboy football). Squirmed past people on the left but often fouled them as well.
Another 10 years of Ameobi?

This jas got to be the first time that that level of agreement has been acheived on this blog! Looking at some of the 1%ers, i believe some cant bring themselves to vote for an Ameobi no matter what! 😀

Good is at that age where he is still capable of suddenly (in footballing terms, 6 months) of just moving up a level. I really hope he does as he seems a nice kid.

Comment #24Would give it to sammy even though he was a six out of ten.
Debs a French international? Oh my word!
I for one have said for a while that marv should be given more game time but on tonight’s performance I am not sure.
It took benny to come on to thread some decent balls through to feet.
Mapou poor also.
Bottom line relegation looms under this owner.

still has someway to go, totally accept that…needs to get his head up more and deliver a better ball….that can be worked on, crossing will improve a lot with enough practice. His vision for the right ball can be improved but thats more natural ability/mental ability really.
I do think the way he skips past people is impressive though, did the same against west ham. Always useful to have somebody direct.
And in his defence how many times does ben arfa move past people then not put his head up and run it out of play/shoot well wide, etc.

Comment #28The problem i have with good is i dont think he will be big or strong enough to be a top cb and he would need to be exceptional as in colo/woodgate in his reading of the game to compensate which is very rare.

Comment #29Repost:
Finally got to watch a full game. Been awhile.
Expected Morcombe to go for it in the first 20. Their defence were all over our players, especially Bigi and Gosling. Hence the hoof ball…
Good move bringing on Shola. Seemed to settled the team. And bringing on Ben Arfa when the game was opening up more another good move.
Curtis Good looked pretty composed I thought as well. More so that Mbiwa.
Debuchy. Argh. Looks like he’s a long way from home.
Marv… I have to say I thought he went looking for the ball a lot more tonight. Didn’t get to do anything special though. But feel he needs to keep playing. And his corners a way better than Cabaye.
Goofy. Didn’t really get much ball compared to Sammy, who was as good as he was frustrating at times.
Still for all those little positives, they could have been up 3 nil after 20 minutes.
Pards out, MA out, doom and gloom, and such like!

For me it’s get ba as a permanent deal, then rotate him and cisse…most on form plays for me…healthy competition.
Look in jan to get gomis on pre contract or for nominal fee then if cisse/ba (whoever plays less) is fed up and wants to go, and they wont agree to be kept, move them on.
