England had an easy win tonight at Wembley Stadium when they strolled through the game with Moldova and won 4-0, although the score could have and probably should have been higher, and with almost last kick of the game – former Newcastle winger James Milner somehow managed to put the ball over the bar with an open goal in front of him from just five yards out.
Rickie Lambert – scored again for England in easy win
And England go top of Group H after Montenegro could only draw in Poland, and the Ukraine beat San Marino 9-0, so in their 7 games San Marino have conceded 38 goals and scored none.
The goals for England came from captain Steven Gerrard, two from Danny Welbeck and another one from Rickie Lambert, and three of the goals came in the first half, and England strolled through the seocnd half with goalkeeper Joe Hart having almost nothing to do.
And Rickie Lambert again looked good in an England shirt, and he can certainly put the ball in the back of the net.
But now England will face a huge test in the Ukraine on Tuesday night, and they will be without Danny Welbeck, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card tonight.
France played a 0-0 draw at Georgia and Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko played the whole game for the French, and Mathieu Debuchy was an unused substitute, with Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna getting a game at right back.
Shane Ferguson played for 77 minutes for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, but Portugal won the game 4-2, with a hat trick from you know who – Cristian Ronaldo.
Scotland lost 2-0 at home to Belgium, who are an excellent side these days and have some great players in their side.
There are still games to be played tonight in South America and also in the North America and the Caribbean region
