Coloccini Plays Whole Game In Argentina’s 5-2 Win

The Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini played the full 90 minutes last night when Argentina rather easily beat Paraguay 5-2 and remain top of the South American qualifying table with 29 points form their 14 games played.

Fab Coloccini – gained 37th cap last night

Argenitna were 2-1 up at the half in Paraguay and two goals from Lionel Messia and goals from Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria and former Liverpool player Maxi Rodriguez was enough to gibe Argentia their eightH win in the qualifying rounds for the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

Argenina are now certain to qualify for those finals and they are 3 points ahead of second placed Columbia.

That’s Fabricio’s 37th cap for his country, and surely Fab will make the World Cup squad for next summer, after being surprisingly left out of the Argentine squad for the World Cup in South Africa three years ago.

Now Colo has to make the long trek back to Newcastle, but should be ready for training tomorrow, in preparation for the game at Villa Park on Saturday, and it seems Colo came though the game OK last night.

In other games last night in America, the USA beat Mexico 2-0, and it looks like Mexico will not qualify for the finals, after winning the Olympic Games last summer by beating heavily favored Brazil in the final.

Yes its a long flight for Colo but don’t forget he will be travelling 1st class and can get a sleep lying down, not like the rest of us with the front seat 2″ from your face and some kid screaming for most of the journey. Safe flight Colo, and glad to have you back, as you will be needed for the game at the weekend.
