Hull had 8 English, 2 Irish in their starting line up.

They were a better team than us.

Who said there were no decent English players anymore??

so ppl on here still say it’s because Cisse was played RW last season thats why he doesn’t score anymore?

what a load of horse sh!t, it’s football, Cisse is just plain lazy and what we used to call back in the old days baby line, that’s all he does baby lines, he doesn’t get stuck in into tackles, he offers no support what’s so ever, he doesn’t track back, i know he’s an poacher but guess what so is berbatov & Van persie and they seem to do more.

Cisse shouldn’t wear the number 9 shirt, it’s a disgrace to the legacy of the number 9 shirt.

Cisse and Debuchy need dropping. They were again dreadful yesterday.
Dummet needs to start at left back with Santon right back. Then we’ll get more width with actually crosses rather than players always going inside.
Debuchy can’t defend, he’s terrible, has no brain. Danny Simpson is miles better, sadly not French so we got rid of him on a free. Pathetic decision.

Kull if the fans fall in love with Remy I think he could be a very very big player for us, me and our kid definitely thought he is short though.

Someone on a previous thread said he reminds them of Thierry Henry, I don’t think he is that good but I think he could be a very good player, strangely he doesn’t look that quick but he is a very very quick player.

I wouldn’t get to attached to Remy. He’ll be back at QPR next season when they get promoted. We should have bought him.

i thought Debuchy played well in defense again, but when your wingers make stupid mistakes and lose the ball high up the pitch whilst the wings back have only just overlapped them it’s gonna leave them expose and out of position

We’re you at the game? Debuchy never stopped a cross, made poor decisions, was caught constantly out of position. His long passes were also way off the mark. He was subbed late on as his performance was awful

regardless of what JFK says about not being able to buy him out whilst on loan is utter shite, meaning we had no intention on buying him even if he scored 30 goals for us this season, MA will probably pay the 6 million ( tongue in cheek 😉 ) but he will not pay his wages

Yes he did put in a couple of good tackles. His first job is to defend which he seems bored with. First goal was down to him. His passing was terrible.

can’t argue with that mate, his passing was awful but i think he will improve each game as long as he reads his timing of the play

No reason why he can’t improve. I’d like Dummet to be given his chance. That might give Debuchy a kick up the backside. Why Santon is not at right back is beyond me. He’s a better player there and scored his only goal for us from there.

also what i forgot to mention is that someone on here said that AP works on defense about 3-4 days a week but i must say who works with them because we have 3 first team coaches including Carver who are all attacking coaches, Beardsly – attacking, Stone – attacking, Carver – attacking, only 1 springs to mind who is defensive coach and that’s Pardew?

i’m a fan of Dummet and i think he could be a star for us sooner rather than later, Santon would be good on RB but he has a tendency to cut inside and have a chance of creating and scoring goals, leaving Santon on RB means he will have no choice but to cross the ball to Cisse’s head and that’s really a no go imo, personally though Santon should be played as a left winger with Dummet behind him.

    Krul To Be Kind

Gomis is a poacher, but he does offer more than Cisse which could be an improvement, but imo we need either another advance forward like Gouffran or a deep lying forward

If Cisse was not in black and white we would be rubbishing him because he is rubbish. He has not played well since we first bought him. Defenders have sussed him and he cannot adapt. He needs to be set up on a plate to score. Or he hits a few 30 yarders. Either way, he is pretty poor. No goals in 11 games and he does not look like scoring. Cisse or remy anyone? cisse or ba anyone? a 10 year old needs to give him lessons on offside.

Pardew looks and sounds like a dead man walking, if we are relying on his ” working on the training ground ” to get us out of trouble there are real problems as he is a useless tactician.

like what jimiley said on his post about Cisse not scoring in 11 games is proof that he needs to be bench, even Gouffran has scored more than Cisse and he’s benched!

As long as Coloshitty remains in the starting line up this club will continue to put in mediocre defensive displays. 3 goals conceded at home. Not good enough

it wasn’t Colo that lead the 3 goals in, maybe himself or MYM could be at fault for the free kick for not man marking but the other 2 wasn’t

I’d spoken to someone who knows the footballing staff and they said Pardew is like a part-time manager. He lives in London still, and comes up later in the week.

On the Cisse thing, there is no way that a lad who regularly scored goals before he got here and even when he got here can be rubbish overnight without help from a severe tactical implosion of the team confidence and service.

His general play should be a lot better, but that lad wants to score goals and we serve him anything but quality.

You could stick Andy Cole in there and he wouldn’t get many goals either. Why? Because we don’t create enough for him inside the box. That means logical and effective drills, communication and organisation in training, in and around the 18 yard box.

The difference between us and hull were quite obvious yesterday.

we had plenty of possession but we didn’t trouble them much in the last 3rd AT ALL. lots of possession but nothing to show for. We didn’t do anything that forces errors from their defence. all they had to do was keep their shape and there was no way through for us.

Look at Hull. very little possession but how many times did Graham and Brady got into goal scoring position and caused panic for our defence? Imagine if Cisse could get those sort of supply for him?

We would have been trounced yesterday if not for their poor strikers upfront.

I think Marty’s post about desire ticks the box for me. We don’t have a side who play with real commitment or desire or hunger – including our captains – they just accept second rate mechanical performances and I have rarely seen Pardew looking so angry last ten minutes of a game. Carver was having a calming word or two but the face said it all. Against the Scum and Fools he was just pure dejected but this was anger and maybe we need him to fire them up. No-one else can do it. He appears to have a calm nature but we need firing up big time after rolling over so easy. Consistency is the answer – but consistent at top 5 level not bottom 5 level.

Yeah we lost. So does that mean the blog is in Crisis. I can hear the pardew haters already. Yet he’s got no financial backing. However u look at Sunderland who signed 14 players in the window. Where are they again?

Really poor yesterday after the first 15 minutes, Benny was absolutely shite, and cabaye is heartless, would drop him.

Very concerned about the rest of the year, that was our best team and we can only get worse once Pardew sticks Tiote and Jonas back in.

Load of crap Pardew says he was backed and got in the striker he needed in Remy and is happy with the squad he has.The only problem is him he hasn’t got a plan B other than throwing Shola on and he didn’t have that yesterday.
Bring on Tiote would have been a good idea to see a game out if we had been winning 3-2 ,but not when yer 2-3 down.
