Glad to hear that Sammy and Dummy are providing competition for places, they will be sorely needed with the state of our squad this season.

As for Obertan, I thought he was being readied for a loan move to Nottingham Forest? His time at the club is up, get rid.

    @Toon King

I think personally because he is an Ameobi and homegrown he will probably take more stick than anyone else in the squad

It just means he needs to keep putting in performances like that and win the fans over 2 assists and he set up a couple of more chances the thing that pleased me most was the fact he worked hard all game trying to win the ball back

I thought after a slow start Tiote was pretty good kept it simple along with Anita if Cabaye is not fit then it has to be those 2 and Sissoko in a 433

hard choice as most them played well even willo did ok
but the best were Sammy and dummett
Sammy MOTM because he has created not 1 but 2 and proving worthy of a chance to soon start in so league games.

I won’t be going too far mind because that is another thing that gets the stress going if a bad performance comes.

Ameobi my man of the match, 2 assists, good ball control, lovely crossing, i think AP might have a selection issue now but at least it’s a good thing 🙂

I have a feeling Obertan was only subbed on to put him in the Championship shop window. He didn’t really do himself many favours though fluffing those chances.

Sammy and Goofy our two best today.

toonking I think Goofy has done more than enough to deserve a start now. Definitely more than Cisse despite his goal today.

Like that team although I would probably play Gouffran ahead of Cisse because Distin will gobble him up at least Gouffran will move about creating space and can hold the ball up as I feel we may be under the cosh a lot against Everton

Saying that I would love it if Cisse started to go on a run scoring goals out of nothing

Ok, players did the job today. I commented the other day about the lack of support at the hull game which I went to (don’t get to too many due to the 4hr journey for me), hull supporters easily drowned us out, and I heard the commentator tonight say that Leeds supporters were making most of the noise. COME ON NEWCASTLE FANS, let’s stop whining and get behind the team, as I said the players have done their job today.

it’s good to see these team selection disagreements because finally we will be starting to know pardew has real team selection head aches.

goufran instead of cisse does sound another good one what got me thinking of cisse is he has finally scored so deserved to have a go
would have been so different if he still didn’t.

Ober should have scored 2. He’s not good enough for us.
    HOWEVER.
..his first touch and ball control is far better than Cisse’s. That says it all.

We might get lucky and have City play a weakened team

We will have to be at full strength and go 433 none of this pish that Pardew comes out with ” Its City we cant win” we should properly have go because If we beat them who knows what could happen

west brom could still know arsenal out this round and they are poor in the league ATM city will be focusing too much on the league as this year i think it is between 5 teams possibly 6.
