Im all for sacking pardew but there was nothing wrong with the tactics tonight. The defenders were just truly truly awful. Sky pundits agree.

Mbwia should be docked a weeks wage for not turning up today, every one was poor that first half but he wouldn’t be near the squad next week if I was in charge

Straight after the game Ed starts releasing articles like hot cakes, he knows people will come on to vent, gets loads of hits and makes a killing from his adverts. Nice little nest egg.

Santon, colo, mbiwa, HBA, sissokho were all shocking tonight.
Only 2 players played well, willo and cabaye. Goufran did ok and remy, Anita and debuchy were average.
Oh if only we’d signed a striker in the summer. Someone big, strong, fast, good on the ball and can score. But there just weren’t any around!!!!!

pardew might be a average manager but it is fully clear that our defence is back to what we saw with the brambles

hoofball is a rubbish and boring way to play but the truth about why it looks so rubbish is most other teams will have 4 defenders at the back Newcastle but have not.

that was a well organised and communication defence.

NUFC’s only PL away wins since May 2012 have been vs AVFC (twice) & QPR & amassed only 16 points from their last 23 away games (W3, D7, L13)

I’d prefer either Dummett or Haidara over Santon at the moment who just looks like a midfielder playing in defense.
