Newcastle Players Score In France’s 6-0 Rout Of Australia

Loic Remy, Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy all started for France in Paris tonight, and the French side were just too much for Australia (the Socceroos) and won 6-0 after being 4-0 up after just 29 minutes.

Yohan Cabaye congratulates Benzema after France’s 6th goal

Yohan Cabaye scored France’s third goal after 29 minutes, and right back Mathieu Debuchy scored France’s fifth goal after 47 minutes, and France were 6-0 up after 51 minutes , before they took their foot off the accelerator.

And Moussa Sissoko came on as a second half substitute,  so Newcastle all their four players in the squad play for France tonight.

Not France  face Finland on Tuesday night in their final group game, but there were no goals tonight for top striker Loic Remy – looks like he’s keeping those for a certain team that plays in black and white stripes.

With Spain beating Belarus 2-0 tonight,  Spain are 3 points ahead of France with a better goals difference in France’s group, so unless Spain slip up against Georgia on Tuesday night,  France will have to play a two game playoff to qualify for the finals of the World Cup in Brazil nest summer.

Robert Elliot was on the bench in Ireland’s 3-0 defeat to Germany in Cologne, and Shane Ferguson played the whole game in Northern Ireland’s 2-0 defeat in Azerbaijan.

Tim Krul was on the bench in Holland’s 8-1 win in Amsterdam with Swansea’s Michel Vorm getting the nod in goal.

Goodfella, install firefox to use instead of internet explorer / safari, or whatever archaic browser you are using. Once installed, search for the add-ons, and install adblock plus, and no-script. Problems solved.

Both Cabaye and Debuchy scored spectacular goals, it must be said. Brilliant finishes from both. Let’s hope they can do that in the black and white stripes of Newcastle United.

Cabaye always has the balls to shoot like that so I’m not surprised his was as good as it was….. But debuchy….. That’s what a difference playing in a side with confidence makes. Fantastic strike!!!
