There is a huge game today for two of our African players Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse as the Ivory Coast will host Senegal in Abidjan later this afternoon in the first leg of the play-off that will decide which of the two countries makes it to the World Cup in Brazil next June.

And it seems like France will most likely have to go the same route with one game left in their group but they are 3 points behind Spain and one game to play and they also have an inferior goal difference.
So there’s even a very slight possibility that even if Spain lose at home to Georgia and France beat Finland on Tuesday night, they could still finish second in the group – but it’s highly unlikely that Spain cannot get at least a point at home to Georgia.
Bothe Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse are expected to be in the starting line-ups of Ivory Coast and Senegal respectively later this afternoon, and it should be an excellent game to watch.
The officials will hope there is no spectator trouble at the game, because last October in the second leg of their play off for the African Cup of Nations in Dakar, the Senegalese were 6-2 down on aggregate after 71 minutes when their fans rioted and set fires on both the pitch and in the stands and the match was abandoned.

That caused Senegal to be banned from playing their future World Cup home games in Senegal, and therefore the second leg of this play-off is being held in Casablanca, Morocco next month.
The kick-off is 5:00 pm local time and we aim to be watching that game.
