Midfielder – I Am Very Happy At Newcastle

The injuries are starting to come along unfortunately, and for the second year running Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini has returned from a World Cup qualifying break injured, and he did that twice last year.

Vurnon Anita – has played well this season

Fabricio is almost certain to miss the game on Saturday at home to Liverpool, since Newcastle will hardly want to risk him, with the Sunderland game coming up the following weekend, and they will not want to risk making the muscle injury he’s picked up even worse.

And of course Newcastle will be up against Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge on Saturday, and in April we were taken apart 6-0 and Suarez didn’t play in that game after biting Branislav Ivanovic and being banned.

Vurnon Anita has played well in this his second season on Tyneside, and he’s already appeared 7 times in a black and white shirt, although he did lose his starting position in the last game, and that was a bit unfortunate.

The Dutch International has talked today in the local press and mentioned the 6-0 devastation last time:

“The last game against Liverpool was obviously not good for us.” “We are in better shape and in a better mood now.” “We have to put what happened to one side, but we cannot totally forget about what they did to us.”

“It is now our turn to do it against them. (what?).” ” think both teams are actually better than last season. It is going to be a good game, a tough game, and one we are looking forward to.”

“I am very happy. I have played a lot games.” “I have played well and, of course, I can play better.” “I hope to keep it up and play a lot more games this season.”

With Cheick Tiote, Moussa Sissoko  and Yohan Cabaye away on International duty, if either of the tree comes home injured Vurnon will get a start on Saturday.

But since we seem to have already lost Coloccini for this game, let’s hope our French players do not get injured in tonight’s World Cup qualifying game in Paris against Finland.

What do you think?

Again shows the lack of depth in quality that we sadly do not have. 1 injury in defence and its panic stations. Im sure jk came out with the line “we have depth and quality at the back, so there is no need for strengthening this department “.
Yet we already have the 3 rd worst defence in the pl in the short period of time this season has been running

Thats a combination of poor set up and also poor defenders. We have plenty options at the back but all are limited defenders, we don’t have a solid centre back, just ball players.

Honestly speaking, Sturridge and Suarez against any back 4 we put out without Collocini to help us keep our shape and to dictate and read play is probably a train wreck that simply is waiting to unfold before our naked, horrified and disbelieving eyes.

Suarez is arguably the best striker in the league, by some margin, and Sturridge, skillful, direct, confident and fast as feck.

Just the sort of game we’ll probably astonishingly win then. Hee, hee, hee, the Toon.

Proves the point buddy that the hierarchy have not got a clue on how to run this club or any other for that matter. If ashley has no intention on putting any of his own money into the club and any profit we make is being used to pay back the loan , then what chance is there of signing anyone

We were damnnn lucky to have demba and loic for these seasons. Next season get back to reality and work with cisse and gouffran.

The 60m tv money at the end of this season will be kept on interest and in stocks and bonds.Until it becomes 100m we wont use it.
