Some Surprise Selections For Newcastle Against Liverpool?

We could see Alan Pardew make some surprise selections for the starting eleven for the game against Liverpool tomorrow afternoon, even though we had thought that because of the excellent showing last time out at Cardiff,  the Newcastle manager would essentially play the same side, and bring somebody in to replace the injured Coloccini.

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa – will play tomorrow against Liverpool

And in our poll earlier this week we asked who between Steven Taylor and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa should come in to replace the captain, and at the moment a majority of fans favor local lad Steven Taylor.

Who Would You Play At Center-Back Against Liverpool?

But Alan Pardew said yesterday in his press conference that Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa would play because of his speed and movement, and that’s in an attempt to try to quell the double threat of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

So the central defense pairing could by Williamson and Yanga-Mbiwa, but Pardew could also play Steven Taylor and Yanga-Mbiwa together, because  Steven Taylor has a little more movement than Mike Williamson.

That’s a possibility,  but it would be very tough on Mike Williamson who has looked very solid over the last one and a  half games, since he was introduced at the start of the second half at Everton.

The other surprise could be a starting place for Ben Arfa, and the Newcastle manager went out of his way yesterday to praise the mercurial winger, and he had this to say in his press conference about the 26 year-old:

“Ben Arfa has trained well this week, and I am very pleased with his attitude and application.”

So it’s certainly possible that Ben Arfa could get a start tomorrow, and it would probably be at the expense of Papiss Cisse, since both Loic Remy and Yoan Gouffran are both in top form at the moment.

still think we should go for 5 at the back. let debuchy and santon be free, and provide the width which our forwards cannot.

This article is a bit behind, Pardew said this morning that Taylor will not play and hasn’t even started training

I wouldn’t mind seeing Sammy out there, maybe even a start on the left with Goofy on the right and Ben Arfa playing behind Remy. Got a feeling the only way we are winning tomorrow is scoring 3 since Sturridge and Suarez are lethal.

The Team has to go at them from the start, and continue going at them until the end !

Too many times, have we fought for an advantage, and got our noses in front, only to be beaten by the final whistle !
The whole team, needs to go and fight to get something from this game.
We are playing an in form team who prospective Champion candidates this year?

Even if we lose, i hope at least we give a good account of ourselves? The 0-6 scoreline last time around was just unacceptable !

I,m hoping for the best but fearing the Worst !
