Yanga-Mbiwa And Ben Arfa Return Against Liverpool

nufc emblemLiverpool_FC.svg

As expected Yanga-Mbiwa and Ben Arfa both start for Newcastle today against Liverpool, with Mapou coming in for the injured Coloccini and Ben Arfa replacing Papiss Cisse, and the Frenchman will play in the middle of the front three, with Remy and Gouffran the two wide men.

So Remy and Gouffran will be the two to track back for Newcastle today – never a strong point of Ben Arfa’s – so that’s not a bad move by Alan Pardew.

Papiss Cisse is on the bench and so are the two Ameobi brothers, and Newcastle will play in their attacking 4-3-3 formation.

For Liverpool. Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez are up front – and Moses also starts today in a very strong looking Liverpool side.

Teams:

Newcastle(4-3-3): Tim Krul; Mathieu Debuchy, Mike Williamson, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Davide Santon; Yohan Cabaye, Cheick Tiote, Moussa Sissoko; Yoan Gouffran, Hatem Ben Arfa, Loic Remy
Substitutes: Rob Elliot, Paul Dummett, Vurnon Anita, Gabriel Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Papiss Cisse, Shola Ameobi

Liverpool Mignolet, Johnson, Cissokho, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Gerrard, Moses, Suarez, Sturridge.
Subs: Jones, Agger, Kelly, Flanagan, Alberto, Sterling, Allen.

Referee: Andre Marriner (West Midlands)

This is good opportunity for the lads to show what they can do against a very good side, and we’ll have to start this game on the front foot, and hope that lads can show the form they showed in the first half at Cardiff. but today keep that up for the full 90 minutes.

Howay The Lads!!

Williamson is going to be slaughtered by Suarez and Sturridge this afternoon. He is way too slow to deal with either of these guys. I fear the worst.

hey guys whats your opinion on this march?
personally im not too sure – could be very poisonous and influence us in a negative way before the match aka Hull in our relegation campaign….

protest can be good and bad but the problem is what the players think? I still remember the game against hull like 4 years ago when when KK was sacked and things went down hill fast.

Liverpool will prove just how poor we are today. We’ll never cope with them our defence will be running after shadows.

just worried the crowd will turn up in negative moods….and will turn their anger towards pardew and the players during the game especially if we concede early

all I can say about this march is where are the news stories about it?

if it was going to happen before the surely it would have started by now.

so given that their is not even a story on this blog or sky text well me that it’s just plain waste which will influence the team negatively

looks a decent side, no colo but not a disaster

Willo isn’t that awful, not perfect but he’s ok….him and perch at CB kept liverpool out 2 seasns ago, suarez struggled…last year we lost 6-0 without willo…its not going to be any worse than that

Looking forward to the game enjoy it lads

    I really fear Liverpool today,

I think our CB 2 will not be able to cope with the pace of both SAS, then there is Moses

our forward will be isolated for large portions of this game , and yes I said forward not forwards

It was never going to make national headlines during the march, they might comment on it when writing up the game.

Also it’s the first march, these things build more people each time they happen and thats when bigger papers/tv channels get involved.

also owners aren’t going to buy a club just because of the march…the march is designed to show ashley we as fans aren’t happy and for him to sell the club, for him to find a buyer…thats how big companies are often sold.

    HBA through the middle !

I said after the Cardiff game that Remy and Gouffran gave our FBs good cover and that the place for HBA might be through the middle but I didn’t think Pardew would give it a try – its a bold move.

There are plenty of players in our team with plenty to prove after the 6.0 drubbing.

    Bring it on – HWTL

Well the march seems to be a bit of a non event! Whats really sad is these same people that are now queuing for a pie nd pint in the ground. Another full house and more money to SD Inc. Why protest on one hand and then give money to those u r protesting against! Ah well its only a game and i see a stuffing on the cards 0-4 🙁

    TS
Ashley has said all the time this club is up for sale. he also was trying to sell the club in 2009 which had another protest and saw us relegated while Ashley himself is still in charge.

did you not notice that the time Ashley tried his best to find a buyer was when we were in the championship.

if it is the greed in that he is not bothing to buy players, this march makes no difference because the premier league sponsor and TV money is all still going to come.

also Liverpool lost their owner and got another bad owner maybe not as bad but still just another greedy American owner

The march is a huge success, the players realise that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and Mashley could be gone, raise their game and hammer Lpool 3-0.

I just cannot see us getting a result today might be something like 3 -1 or 4-1 to Liverpool. The Blind Faith Brigade will then offer the excuse that Colo wasn’t playing.
Hope I’m wrong but just cannot see a win for us.
Well done to those on the march.

Iron Mike is our finest defender and always has been. Just because he isn’t a local clown, the adulterous, cowardly captain or the fancy French name, he gets stick. If Mbiwa has learned to communicate, we’ll not concede more than 1 today.

well weather their is news stories or not I shall wait and see.

as for Ashley himself well if he is going to sell the club then say bye-bye to cabaye remy HBA krul tiote perhaps sissoko . the reason I say that is before he does sell us he is first going to want to sell these players knowing that bids will be made in January and because of how greedy agents are it’s going to make it hard to stay plus why would they want to stay when we are demanding more big amounts of money spent on players
