I loved shearer as a player but as a Pundit i can’t stand the sight of him. Hansens even worse. Het them off MOTD and take Mark Lawrenson too!

just like to say, well done to the lads and lasses who attended the protest march yesterday.. sadly i couldnt make it yesterday , but it was good to see a few hundred bodies marching for what you deserve – you should be proud of yourself. a few good performances on the pitch should not make us lose sight of the fact that NUFC is going under this regime ,ASHLEY – KINNEAR -PARDEW – OUT.

Pack Dummet up in cotton wool, and let him loose, against the better teams in the league !

Scumberland will just attempt to kick us off the park in the game next week like they normally do in Derby games?
Clattermole and Bardsley will be up to their physical tasks of ensuring that we pick up as many injuries and red cards as possible .

While this is just the nature of derby day, i would like us to go there and get revenge for the drubbing they gave us in the last derby game?

I can still remember how embarassed i was in the bar in Nijmegen that day!

Great battling performance and deserved a point.
Rather have Anita than Tiote though again he could have cost us the game with his lack of positional awareness.
Cabaye looked back to player we bought

Tiote seems to have roared back after being dropped and Cabaye is playing well the weakest link at the moment is Sissoko ! He just looks lost and lacking confidence he should be bullying teams like Diame does for West Ham but does not do this Anita should keep his place as a trio of Cabs, Tiote and Anita can work well the opposition would get no time on the ball

Or even play Arfa in the no 10 role which Sissoko plays would work well

People say form goes out the window etc blah blah thats a load of crap if we turn up perform and give them no respect and time on the ball we will comfortably they are shite and should be treated as such and swept aside only Fletcher would get a game for us up front everyone else would be lucky to make our bench

    @8:

No-one appears to agree with you about Tiote, who i think was back to the player he was when he first signed by us !

Even noted that someone was criticising Ben Arfa on another post !

We just managed to get a point against on of the main contenders to win the whole league this year.
It could well of been all three, and also could of been none if it was,nt for Krul !

Why do i get the feeling on here that some of you people are never satisfied ? If we beat the scum next week we will be above Manure and looking good !

However the next three games after that are Shitty in the cup, The Spuds away and Chelski away !

I don’t know about giving him the armband but in his last two games he is showing the type of form, alongside the rapidly improving Cabaye, that got us to fifth in the league.

Whether by coincidence or design both Cabaye and Tiote have come good at the same time. The whole team (possibly except Cisse) are looking good, especially the fullbacks. Up until the penalty Yanga-Mbiwa was looking good. He was caught out by a very good and very clever forward. He is not the first nor will he be the last defender to be outwitted by him.

Just a thought, is Goofy now the natural choice ahead of Jonas? I was very impressed with Goofy’s workrate.

It will be a tough game against the unwashed as their new manager will want to start their revival against their dreaded enemies.

I think that although he made a couple of errors, that Mr T was by far and away the best Toon player yesterday. He never gives up -top attitude.
In respect of all this JK -financial stuff -if anyone thinks he is the author of the piece in the programme yesterday -they clearly are gullable simpletons. It is a message designed to set the scene for the January sales -by constantly saying there is no money it sets the scene nicely for acceptance by Toon fans of the sale of a player or players in order to make any new purchases. Putting it another way it’s getting the self sufficiency model up and running by bringing in some money to use in January.
By constant references to their being no money -it takes away any protests about not buying new players -no money means NO MONEY in the kitty. Toon fans will have no justifiable complaints that player (a) or (b) was not bought if it is known we have no funds. It renders complaints about not spending -fruitless -and paves the way nicely for the sale of one or two players.

Great day yesterday with the march going off great and the team putting in an excellent shift.

Really proud of Newcastle United fans for their conduct during the march and the great atmosphere they created inside the stadium.

Hopefully many people who agreed with the aims of Time4Change but were sceptical about joining can take a lot of confidence from how well our fans behaved.

On the match, delighted to see the Tiote of old, let’s hope he can maintain that level of performance week in week out. Cabaye is looking better every game, and Gouffran doesn’t half work hard!

Could have won it, but before the game I’d have snapped at the chance of a point, so I will certainly take it afterwards.

    Roll on derby day!

daztoon- agree totally on our attacking abilities at the moment, Our play going forward from deep was swift and controlled. The awareness of our midfielders was probably the best i have seen for a while, while losing the ball or playing the wrong pass aws there for all to see, i was still pleased with the overall build up play, however as you say, the last third of the pitch is still dissapointing. the endless ‘ hopefull’ pings into the box were never really a threat to liverpools defence. We have to get more bodies in the box , i lost count of the times balls were played in with no one in sight of the tv cameras. even remy at one point in the first half played a ball from the left across the box to no one., he couldnt do anything else, ok the 2nd half was inevitable , but i would like to see more ambition in front of goal with 11 men .

wolfshead @17 – yes I’m saying exactly that – old Joe even on a good day -could not come up with such a statement clearly using accountants “job speak” terminology. If the club had issued the exact same statement and said it was from the financial director it might have drawn less adverse comments. I suppose the crux is not who is the author but the meaning of what the message says -which is basically -no cash = no purchases. Or sell player = cash to buy new player.
The recent eagerness to spout we are not a big club/cannot compete financial is clearly designed to lower expectations. I would suggest it also sets the scene for not spending.

Tiiote was better but still often ball watches leaving players to get in the box un marked.Suarez being an example late on when he hit the bar

tiote had great game yesterday. hd did make two costly errors tho

    1) he kept suarez onside for his goal..he wasn’t quick enough getting out.

    2) he should have played hba in when we were 2-1 up but he lacked composure and went for a poor shot.

pardew should have also bought hba off at around 60 mins..with 10 men we couldn’t afford to carry another. remy should have been deployed up frot and anita or Jonas for hba

all in all, a good result. great for dummett. very worried what this might do for yanga

Point is that the Fools are quality opposition at the top end of the table just now so as we put up a good show it kind of marks our card as to what we could achieve with a bit of consistency and on good form. We should be a match for EVERY team on our day.

MOTM yesterday was Tiote. Yes he did make a mistake at times but other plays saved dangerous situations. To blame him for not getting up quickly enough when he was injured is a joke although he could have rolled around on the ground a lot like the Uruguayan weasel or pretended it was a head injury so play got stopped.
Other points – the TEAM defended well, not just defenders – Goofy must have covered more ground than ever and even Remy was helping out.
As for Dummett, I don’t want to build him up but I don’t think he’s another Edgar (scored against Man U but was eventually sold into comparative obscurity), there’s something substantial about him that bodes well. But what a tit Hansen was – going on about Paul putting his hand up for offside – how many games in the EPL has the lad played?
Finally Benny – frustrating, not on his best form but of course for much of the game Liverpool had an extra midfielder / defender to provide cover. Perhaps he needs to have a game or two as an impact sub again?

We all know how much MA has put in to NUFC, and we know that because of his aquasition of the club and the quickness of it he did not do his proper diligence, that has been well reported, so for him and with him having the money it made sense righ down the line to put that loan in to the club because if he had of financed it it was going to cost him and the club I suppose x amounts of millions in interest.

He saw in John Hall someone who wanted a quick sale, as usual Mike DOSNT MISS an opportunity, and steamed in, and we all know h will no doubts leave with his purchase and loan monies tucked away back in the SKYROCKET.

He did not loan the money out of his big heart, it suited him simple as.

And of course his accountants are going to advise him to get the freebie with Sports Direct, he wont need to be asked twice will he, it was said at the supporters for change meeting verified by one of the party representing NUFC when asked about finances that we pay ZILCH for all that masses of advertising, quite disgusting beyond belief then as JK went on in the programme notes to moan on about our revenue compared to other clubs in the prem and how it was nowhere near as good as theres, we all know bloody why now don’t we.

We get no benefits from Sports Direct yet they get masses and masses from our great club, in the business world I would class that as a real criminal act. And something that needs seriously looking at by the relative authorities.

Rooster – what a load of tosh.

Ashley bought the club and whichever way you look at it he paid the debt off with his own money and has effectively lent it to the club interest free – it would cost us far more in interest on the debt that we could recoup in ground advertising.

As has been pointed out on here before – you don’t earn millions from ground advertising – not even one million, so to claim that as the reason why we are lagging behind in sponsorship revenue is ludicrous.

Ashley isn’t milking the club dry, or deliberately sticking two fingers up at the fans, or flogging our best players for a profit – or doing most of the other nonsense claims that are made against him.

That’s why the turnout at the march yesterday numbered just a few hundred and not a good few thousand – because most sensible fans ignore the vast majority of the hype and sh!te that is thrown Ashley’s way.

In the light of the words attributed to Kinnear, if we’ve not generating the money to enable to compete with the so-called big clubs, then what are the owner’s plans to enable us to do so?

Does Ashley want to grow the club’s revenues to put uo in a position to sit at the same table as ManU, Citeh, Sperz, Livrrpool et al?

Given that the supposedly free SD advertising at SJP, is there to illustrate the potential for other and fee paying advertisers, does the club have any intention to sell that advertising space?

Is the club developing its brand and if so, what is it doing to market it and bring in sponsorship from a highly respected sponsor or sponsors who want to be associated with Newcastle United?

Or, is Ashley content to let the once good name of Newcastle United be associated with controversy and crisis upon crisis?

I wonder if Kinnear might willing to summarise his aims and objectives and let us know exactly what he’s achieved or not achieved – successes and failures? Successes shouldn’t take long I’d guess.

And he might like to tell us what he’s for?

also, do we need santon any more? dummett imo is more solid defensively, and if we can get good money for santon then we can plough that into getting a top cb/cf
