    Owner doesn’t care
    manager doesn’t care
players don’t care. Have lost touch with the people who support them. I felt more optimistic when we were relegated ffs at least i saw a way forward. all i see now is stagnation and mediocrity for the forseeable.

done with this club at the moment

    only positive, tiote played well

    Pardew out !!!

  • 4 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:34 PM

oh dear now all of the negative people are coming out from under the rocks. FFS DID YOU NOT WATCH THE GAME, THERE WAS ONLY ONE TEAM PLAYING FOOTBALL TODAY AND THAT WAS US!! JUST NO END PRODUCT. AGAIN SUNDERLAND SCORED FROM A STUPID FOUL. ALL THEY DID WAS PLAY HOOFBALL. YES I AGREE THEIR PLAYERS WERE HUNGRIER AND THE DEFENDING WAS POOR, BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN PARDEW’S ONLY GOT WILLO AND DUMMETT AS OPTIONS BECAUSE OF ASHLEY AND JFK FAILING TO BUY ANYONE???

  • 5 toonbrother // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:34 PM

a toss up between tiote and santon. |Overall a mediocre performance by the lads

PARDEW OUT , PARDEW OUT, PARDEW OUT

Worst manager we have ever had. Only thing he is good for is setting the worst NUFC records possible . After all the discraceful results he has cost us I will never ever forgive the PRICK

Ameobie is wayyyyyyy past his best!should have retired at 27

  • 12 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:39 PM

    moses

they played some nice football too, kept it on the deck well…did you see their second goal?

they passed in in midfield, got it wide and put in decent crosses, played some long stuff too but thats the type of forwards they have so not too much else you can do with those players.

We may have kept the ball on the floor but as soon as we got near the final third we either just went back (fine to keep possession) or just clipped it over the top and out of play….we are very poor in the final third and always have been.

  • 13 ToonJovi // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:39 PM

Tiote had gd spells but he still lost the ball in numerous occasions!!! I voted on Debuchy! Mostly for doing the least things wrong!

Feeling very deflated and can’t see anything changing without change!

  • 14 Korean Magpie // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:39 PM

WHAT???They played hoofball and we didn’t??? We played hoofball same as them…AND we lacked ambition and had a very useless manager in Alan Pardew

  • 15 Tsunki // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

I really like dummet but it really showed how you need experience before going into a game like this. Santon I was pleased for had a good game, also Tiote and debuchy. HBA swapped too much but at times was pretty cool and contributed to our goal. Strikers were ineffective. Cabaye was pressed out of the game too much for my liking. everyne else did their job. Our lack of bite and an inexperienced/rusty back line did for us. But none more so than the tactics of the manager, who patently set us up for what we knew would be a blood and guts first half from a rotten team with only motivation on their side.

  • 16 yorkymag // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

For goodness sake this blog is full of irrationality
We were beaten in a close derby where form is of no consequence by two very doggy goals one foul and a moving ball
Shit happens but slagging the players and manager off is simply daft daft daft

  • 17 kevymartins // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

People saying we wernt hungry enough have just got it all wrong, it’s clear the players were told to go out there and just shoot from anywhere, ben arfa and cabaye were shooting from 35 40 yards out time and time again. We played the ball into the box once and look what happened WE SCORED…You’d think they would learn from that but no they continue to go on blasting them wide and over from 30 yards out the effin ejits

  • 18 jordijohnty // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

The main blessing this season is that there are at least 3 teams in this division worse than us. However, with the people we have in charge here, we could easily become their equals

  • 19 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

As for the our best player…only two stood out for me and thats tiote and debuchy…both worked hard and showed fight as well as their skills.

Cabaye, willo, gouff and remy worked but with nothing special to mention.

    The rest were poor.

  • 20 toonfan_Ew_Ew // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:40 PM

Sunderland took the game to us in the first half. We were so slow to get started it was painful to watch. Their first goal really was poor defending, plain ball watching. I cannot see what HBA brings to the game as a ‘false number 9′, he cannot hold the ball up. If anything put Remy up top with Gouff on the left and HBA on the right. Pardew taking off Remy was an absolute farce, if anything Remy, as a clear goal threat, should stay on to get us a goal. In the end, we got lucky with our goal and Borini’s finish was unstoppable. It was always going to be about who started off the game the better, and unfortunately it was SAFC. It is Pardew’s job to get these players playing consistently week in week out and our performance today was a shadow of the one v. Liverpool. As for Cisse, get shot. I can’t see him scoring a goal anytime soon, as harsh as it sounds … As the saying goes ‘Newcastle consistently inconsistent’.

If the useless scum can beat us roll on man city, tottenham and chelsea next 3.

  • 23 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:41 PM

you can tell that there is a definite change in philosophy, we got some good passing moves going there was just no end product. Benny had a shocker. Dummett the poor lad was up against two strong strikers and sunderland played hoofball. When it was 1-1 we should of scored, we should of punished them, we were absolutely dominating but the defence just falls to sleep at the wrong moments. remy was inconsistent, cisse was just frustrating. cabaye was ok, tiote was ok but gave away stupid fouls. *sigh it was scripted for the scum to win, i wouldn’t be surprised if they have a new manager for the next derby just to fire their players up. Although yes, they were more hungry for the win, closed us down and we lacked that vision to split their defence open.

  • 24 toon kk // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:41 PM

We went down to 10 men when Cisse came on. He was a waste of space.

  • 25 believeintoon // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:41 PM

The record of Pardew against Sunderland

    1 win, 2 lose,3 draw

    Apsolutely awful.

  • 26 TheToonKing // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:41 PM

Pardew has to go. Nothing personal i like him but we’ll be nothing more then a low mid table team with him.

    We need a change.

Oh here we go with the losers on the blog justifying our loss and calling everyone negative .

    Go kiss Pardew’s loser backside

  • 29 coatesy17 // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:43 PM

some of you are so deluded what the hell did Pardew do wrong? he set us up how we played well against liverpool, wasnt working so he changed it so it did work! thats a positive! seriously we lose a really close tense derby that we were probably the better side for 60% of the game. Why start the pardew out crap. you really do infuriate me some of you! rather has us as unstable and changing a manager every loss than abit of stability. god damn get a grip.

  • 30 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:43 PM

alright then, if pardew has to go who are we gonna get in? Bielsa? O’Neill, well we’re not gonna get any of them coz we’ve got ashley in charge! I’d rather have pardew than kinnear or curbishley!

  • 31 Himanshu Dhingra // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:44 PM

Tiote does his job but his mistakes are catastrophic. For example the free kick.

  • 32 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:44 PM

    yorky

why are people annoyed by this…only the result is different to liverpool game.

    - Liverpool scored 2, so did sunderland. (both had a set piece goal too)

    - we didn’t create any real chances except the dummet goal against liverpool and the debuchy goal today.

The only difference is that against liverpool one of our pot shots from distance went in and today none of them did.

For a team that has conceded an average of 3 goals in their last 6 games (with 4 let in last week) we only had one genuine chance in the whole game. That’s the problem and biggest worry….for all our talent we are so ineffectual in the final third and rely way too heavily on individual goals.

  • 33 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:44 PM

Coatesy17 exactly, pardew did nothing wrong, its simply the luck and hunger we’re not getting! when it was 1-1, on another day we would of scored 2 or 3 then! it was simply from a stupid foul that sunderland got a goal. we were the team who played football, sunderland were the ones who played hoof ball.

  • 34 yorkymag // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:45 PM

    The toon king
You are simply missing the point
It will make no difference who is manager while Ashley is in charge
Had we an owner who cared we would not have been playing a young left back at ch

  • 35 NUFCarter // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:45 PM

    Believe i toon
Sums Pardew up. Sunderland have never been a side in which you look at and think they should really give us a run for our money but they have ever since Pardew took over.

  • 36 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:45 PM

Not wanting to come off doom and gloom as i still think we will finish around 10th

just i think we need to find a way to actually create more genuine chances, something we struggle to do even though we are passing the ball much nicer now than last year.

  • 37 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:46 PM

And what can pardew do anyway if he’s only got one centre back as his first choice and all the rest are injured or suspended? its the lack of ambition from the board thats letting him down.

  • 38 Brutooon // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:46 PM

Cisse is the reason we lose. he did NOTHING at all. he lose the ball all the time.

  • 39 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:46 PM

the CB issue is nothing to do with Ashley

we have started the season with 4 CBs…that is a standard amount so can’t blame him for that one.

  • 42 West Lancs Geordie // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:47 PM

We lacked passion & commitment. Complete inability AGAIN to see a game out. To All you bloggers who rave about Dummett & Ben Arfa they are just not good enough. Dummett just not big & strong enough for a CB. We have again paid for not strengthening this position in the summer. We were bound to get injuries & suspensions and Saylor is just a sicknote we can’t afford to carry. We also can’t afford the luxury of Benny. Yes can provide odd moments of magic but just like Robert just does not contribute enough.

    @manxpie
atleast the blog only has 2 days before o next game.
we play city H mid week.

as for me well it’s like i said the game was good the only part i put pardew blame is why he didn’t bring shola on firs and why he didn’t take off HBA at all.

some people say it was luck that helped us most yet they love HBA who when playing means the luck is needed because all he does is try to show off.

  • 46 NUFCarter // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:49 PM

I said trust newcastle to kick start sunderlands season but then again i bet Sundrland wont win another game until they play us in the return fixture. They’ll go down with two Derby wins

  • 47 Blackley and Brownlie // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:49 PM

Moses and toonbrother what game were you watching? As bad as sundland were, we were gash. Good players playing without a game plan they believe in. Even pardew realised he had to rip it up after 20 minutes. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any idea how to change it. If pardew doesn’t know what he’s doing, how are the players meant to work it out? Willo our best.

  • 48 Mister Tuff // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:49 PM

Percy previously said we looked like a team who could score goal ——-erm right.
Regardless whether it was a derby -it was a shocking – for those who think it’s ok to play better but have no end product – the idea is to score goals -you really need to change your game could I suggest netball or ladies hockey.
We should have strengthened the defence in the summer when we had the chance – hailing Wilo as our saviour – just shows what a mess the club is in.
Cisse is shocking -he is so weak -it hard to understand how.
The only new blood we will attract in the future is players wanting a stepping stone to top clubs where they will have a more realistic chance of medals/silverware. For those who dream of a multi talented winning team with Cabaye/HBA/Remy playing with top new acquisitions to challenge the best – forget it it’s not going to happen with the current owner and management.

  • 49 coatesy17 // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:49 PM

@35 The derby doesnt matter about form, form goes out the window in a game like that. they won with a screamer late on. we could of won with one of our shots that went off target (santon’s and shola’s spring to mind) its a new manager for them so dont even think about past results. they were fired up from the start took us a formation change to get going then we bossed them until one fantastic strike unforunately

  • 50 Tsunki // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:49 PM

    Ok Mr Rational:-

1/ We lose to the team with only one point.
2/ We provide all future opponents with confidence they can do no worse against us.
3/We lose to the mackems, despite form. AGAIN.
4/ We are as usual the hilarious laughing stock of the TV pundits.

    Is this sounding good?

  • 51 Beattie25 // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:50 PM

Yet another record breaking game for nufc under Pardew.

What a crying shame we have been lumbered with such a poor poor manager.

Any person with even a basic knowledge of the game of football would’ve seen a poorly organised, unstructured and demotivated team playing in black and white.

Pardew and the coaching staff, for the 1000th time from this mans mouth, must be forced out!!!

  • 52 daztoon // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:51 PM

Lol we played 443 and still couldn`t beat the bottom side

  • 53 Transfer Sage // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:51 PM

    NUFCarter

The liverpool result was very good in the circumstances…my point more is that why are people shocked.

How often, in any game the past 18months/2 years have we genuinely made 6/7 proper chances in a game and not got our goals from long shots, rebounds or individual brilliance.

I don’t think our team plays well as a team to create chances. I don’t know if thats the manager or players to blame, or both….but from what i see I think we rely far too much on individual moments and not team play.

  • 54 Black and White with an army lol // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:51 PM

my mate has just text me saying

“we can’t win them at home and we can’t win them away with Pardew being at the once proud Newcastle helm”

  • 55 Laurent Robert 32 // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:52 PM

Hilarious the defending of Pardew. To repeat, Sunderland had one point so far, which is the joint worst start in the Premier League.

We have a team full of internationals bar 3. An attacking 3 of Ben Arfa, Remy and Gouffran with Cisse on the bench, we missed relegation last year via Swansea helping us out.

The man takes underachievement with him.

How much more quality does he want at his disposal only to pathetically squander?

  • 56 Klatoon // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:52 PM

Oh poor pardew had no chance up against a great manager in Poyet…atleast its just Pelegrini, Mourinho and AVB next up 4 him

  • 57 West Lancs Geordie // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:52 PM

Tiote only one who showed any sense of urgency. Altidore just too strong for Dummett & Willo. Why take off the only man who has consistently scored the goals this season -Remy? We need to buy him in next window & sell Cisse & get in Long or similar. Another long season I’m afraid. What’s to look forward to well 15th at best & a much weakened side for City in League Cup.

  • 58 NUFCarter // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:52 PM

HBA is pissing me off too. He seems to get the ball tangled in his feet every time hes on the ball

  • 59 jammylambo // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:53 PM

    nodoby , we were shit.

dont get me wrong , the scum played shit too. no quality in either side , but *uck me , at least the left everything on the pitch.

watching them play , they knew they didnt have quality , they knew on a skill basis they couldnt win. so they won with effort , hunger and desire , and fair play. half of our players came of that pitch without a bead of sweat on their brow. i cant say that about the scum.

do we have too many foreigners , is pardew incapable of motivation , im not sure. but what i do know is our team , from board to bench do not understand this game , and its meaning to our fans .

  • 60 Tsunki // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:53 PM

  • 63 MosesNUFC // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:53 PM

coatesy17 spot on, on another day, that ameobi strike or santon stike would of went in. and at the end of the day, just like the 3-0 loss, it was scripted for sunderland to get a result because they have a new manager. i suspect they’ll have a new manager by the next derby! But anyway, this season is pardew’s decider season, if we’re not in the top 10 by january, i reckon he’ll be gone. but if we are, then he could be the man for us.

  • 64 Black and White with an army lol // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:53 PM

At least Burnley won. that should cheer you up. I got Nothing.

  • 67 toontime // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:54 PM

Let’s look at this from a reasonable person’s perspective:

Away in a derby game – difficult to class us as favourites – I for one would probably have taken a draw today.

Playing the team lying bottom of the league with 1 point out of 8 matches – surely we should be looking to at least out play them even if we don’t get the result – we didn’t out play them!!!

They have a new manager with new ideas – therefore we should be more settled and happy with our own strengths – they should be still in the bedding in period – they played like they meant it, we didn’t!!!

Where does this leave us? I honestly believe that Pardew – as decent (debatable – granted) a job as he has done, has to go. His position is now the one position in this football club which can have the biggest say in the direction we go – unless some multi-billionnaire comes in and buy us. The players need fresh impetus. They need new ideas. They need to start playing to their potential. Only the manager can really do that.

  • 68 Jonny // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:55 PM

Safe to say dummet is not a centre back. Also he is not a kid, 22 years old- same age as santon! Think we need a couple more premier league experienced players around the 30 age mark to play with these French lads. If you look at the top teams, there is always experience in the team.

  • 69 Tsunki // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:55 PM

  • 76 Beattie25 // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:57 PM

As for the ‘CB’ issue, what in Earth is Dummett doing playing at CB ahead of young CB’s at the club?

He has been put into the limelight by Pardew due to the fact he is a young Geordie who has been working hard in training.

Why wasn’t another young player brought in from the reserves to cover that is able to play CB?

That was Pardews call and none other.

If anyone really thinks that Good or Streete or Tavernier wouldn’t have been better calls today then you are certainly retarded.

  • 77 ToonDarnSarf // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:58 PM

Bunch of negative muppets on here again. I’d seriously hate to be in a war alongside some of you lot!

We were the better team and especially dominant in the second half. They perhaps played with a bit more passion and energy than we did and that’s crucial in a derby. They were at home too and with a new manager.

Blame the manager and the owner as much as you like, I wonder what the players think about the crap that some fans send their way and the demands for the manager (who signed many of them) to leave.

I’m not mincing words any more. Anyone demanding Pardew or Ashley to leave it an idiot. Demand for Ashley to do more for sure, chant and get on his case every day to either inspire him to improve things or let someone else do it, but incessant infighting and unreasonable demands NEVER helped a club and won’t help us.

I get that people are passionate, so am I (hence this message), but you can be passionate and an idiot at the same time. And passion is no excuse for idiocy…

  • 78 Blackley and Brownlie // Oct 27, 2013 at 3:59 PM

1 CF we have remy cisse shola and goufran
cisse is never around at the minute
shola is not far from retirement
goufran is only just getting use to the league and seems more of a wide forward.
only remy seems to be scoring and you can’t expect that every week.

    next the midfield creative players
we have Jonas HBA marvo obatan and Sammy
HBA seems to think he can be a messi he is constantly showing off rather than team work and passing I dout pardew would tell him to show off.
Jonas he is no long a starter and hasn’t got much in the forward play now.
marvo I just don’t know what it is with him.
Sammy he isn’t yet ready for starts.
    obatan need I say more.

We need to actually play the ball in to and around the box to score and not bloody just hit them from anywhere.Cisse and Remy are clinical finishers and if they balls were coming in the would finish them, but when no balls are coming in then there is nothing there for them to attack.

Cabaye will be sold at Christmas – money off MA’s debt. No new players. Remy back to QPR when they get back in PL. No good news boys – only more of the same old shit. Please don’t start coming on saying we are after this that and the other great player for megabucks in the window because it just won’t happen. Puppet knows he needs to strengthen but knows there is no money 4 him. Ma just wants his money back & cares nothing 4 the fate of NUFC. If the Club goes down he knows he can always blame Pards & put the Joeker in in his place

TDS – you are a complete prick , open your bloody eyes . The club is rotten to the core and will be until the fat cockney and his gutless cohorts are shown the door

How anyone can say it’s not Ashley’s fault is unreal.. It’s his fault we had a young left back at centre back. We have started playing good football this year we haven’t really played hoofball all year,
People over rate our team also. Tiote was only one that showed any commitment to cause today giving him armband is a great stroke, if I knew the money would b put back into club I’d say sell cabaye , Marv, benny , cisse , gouffran ..
Felt sorry for dummett they played 2 big lads knowing they could bully him

I had money on us losing lads because I knew either way I’d be able find a positive. I find anytime you can say “Ok we should win this one, we really really should win it” we dont and that is down to piss poor management. We looked like shit and it showed that all you need to out play us is energy on the ball.

Guys no offence to anyone who has there views but anybody who couldn’t see we were the better team and in control of the game need some help. We were beaten by a worldy after having them where we wanted. Enough is enough and all this other absolute bullocks needs to stop. We try to play footy yous whinge play 3 strikers whinge just fcuking give it a rest and take the negativity elsewhere for fcuk sake

Beattie go fcuk yourself calling people retards coz the disagree you muppet. The entire blog has been calling for dummet to start all week except yourself. But that’s coz you ain’t been on the blog for Christ knows how long, as we’ve been doing well but sure as shit as soon as we lose here you are preaching away. Do one mate and support the lads in the good times not just mouth off when we lose

We were beat by a better team. Couldn’t be helped. I never thought we’d win anyway.
