Newcastle In Extra Time After 0-0 After 90 Minutes

Soccer - Capital One Cup - Fourth Round - Newcastle United v Manchester City - St James' Park

Mike Williamson in action tonight

It’s probably something Alan Pardew didn’t really want, with Chelsea due at St. James’ Park in just three days time, but the game at St. James’ Park has gone into extra time, after the score was  0-0 after 90 minutes.

Newcastle have played very well and had their chances, none better than one to Yoan Gouffran from a Yohan Cabaye cross, when he had an open goal but headed just wide after 89 minutes, but he was flagged for offside in any case.

The game has entered extra time and it’s anybody’s game, and has been very level so far,  with Newcastle looking solid.

think we have something approaching our best team, that being said i think that sissoko disrupts our team balance, which is looking much better with a left footed lb, best team not always best XI

Didn’t deserve that at all tbh, but gets that’s what happens when you persist with playing a sh*te CF who couldn’t score in a brother and has fluffed chance after chance after chance

Can’t blame yanga for that 100 minutes of solid graft, any ball across the 6 yard box should have krul’s name all over it

yanga has had an exceptional game apart from that, and krul should be saving those, every dfensive lapse is getting punished at the moment, which is why we need to make teams pay too. unfortunately with cisse we do not do this enough

Does Cisse ever notice what going on around him? The guy is a proffesional footballer and he dosnt know the offside rule, nevermind looking up to see where his fellow teammates are placed

why can’t we ever score goals like that?

Movement, 1-2’s and the composure to take the ball round the keeper instead of just blasting it straight at the keeper

the big question I would say is why didn’t remy start he wasn’t even on for the full 90 mins in the derby has Fcuken Kinnear warned pardew he can’t start remy.
