That’s what I said. We only have one player, Remy. We need more than one! Cisse is seriously lacking confidence, Ameobi isn’t a regular scorer either, he’s more like our Heskey. Ben Arfa and Goofy should chip in with at least 10 goals a season like Cabaye does.

    We need more goal threats.

Remy has been poor the last 2 games anyway and we know the PL has to be the priority. Every club rests players.

Gouffran for me, worked his arse off all night, chased down everything and never stopped running

  • 3 Jonny // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:25 PM

Mbiwa for his class and composure or goufrann for his work rate alone.

  • 4 Himanshu Dhingra // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:26 PM

Gareth bale, working his diving magic at Madrid

We have Gouffran who can and has played up front, what killed the game was us going to a 5 man midfield which then handed City the game

    leister city man city

  • 7 pottsclock // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:27 PM

Some comedian has voted for Cisse

  • 8 Assam Toon // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:27 PM

Watching till four a.m. for this end product….? Sigh…..
(Tiote and Williamson were good though)

  • 9 NUFCarter // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:27 PM

We should just give up on Cisse. He cant score if its given to him on a silver platter. No point starting a striker when you know he wont and just cant score. Its such a shame as hes obviously a great striker as we’ve seen previously but in my opinion Adam Armstrong should be in front of him in the pecking order.

    Tiote MOTM

  • 10 Grafton83 // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:27 PM

I thought the linesman had a good game, cant i vote for him

  • 11 Harley // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:27 PM

    So disappointing.

Debuchy, wilo, mbiwa, tiote, Anita hardly put a foot wrong.

    Cisse has to be dropped!

  • 12 toonarmydownsouth // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:28 PM

Toss up between Debuchy and Mbiwa but for me Debs just edges it!

    Krul 6/10
    Debs 10/10
    Willo 9/10
    Mbiwa 9/10
    Haidara 8/10
    Tiote 8/10
    Anita 9/10
    Sissoko 6/10
    Gouffran 8/10
    Shola 8/10
    Cisse 2/10

    Subs
    Dummett 6/10
    HBA 7/10
    Cabs 7/10

  • 13 toonking // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:28 PM

    JB
well that is where our second problem lies
we have very few wingers too
wingers and forwards are very short just like our CB

  • 14 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:28 PM

    Cisse couldn’t finish his dinner

  • 15 Tayls // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:29 PM

Tiote, shola or debuchy… or cisse for city

  • 16 santosh82 // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:29 PM

This is probably one of the best football that we have played yet can win at home and hull at away are level with spurs. Many would now say pradew is unlucky but its not true.
Its the hunger to win thats absent in the team.

  • 17 Harley // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:29 PM

I voted debuchy by the way.

  • 18 stuart no9 // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:30 PM

i pick ashleys MOM – CISSE — if it hadnt been for him , we would be in the next round, well done cisse

  • 19 Harley // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:30 PM

I’d play shola up front against Chelsea any day over cisse!

  • 20 ToonDarnSarf // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:30 PM

    JackButler

But Goofy has never been a regular scorer. Even in France he only scored about 1 in 4. I prefer Remy coming from deep with his pace and if only Cisse was on form it would be potent to say the least. That’s why we really needed a top striker in the summer.

  • 21 NUFC FOR SALE // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:31 PM

The above voting says it all about the people on this web site.

Anita was the best player on the pitch by a country mile until he had to cover at left back.

Some people saying Ben Arfa did well when he came on??????? Ben Awful should be his name from now on…..hes a f#cking luxury of a player.

Pardew f##ked that game up by changing the formation.

As soon as Shola went off and Cabaye on we went top heavy in the middle and the team completely lost its shape.

Sissoko was hopless on the wing. How he keeps Anita out of the team is beyond me.

  • 22 JackButler // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:31 PM

    ToonDarnSarf

That 1 in 4 is hell of a lot more than Cisse is offering right now

  • 23 toon kk // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:33 PM

We didn’t play to bad tonight. Cisse is a waste of time at the moment. We tired towards the end and without Remy we were never going to score.

  • 24 Belfast // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:34 PM

Debuchy for me. Has probably been our best player lately to be honest.

Cisse has been garbage for a long long time. I’m over that one now…

  • 25 Keith in France // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:36 PM

    No one!
Sick of this useless team, manger, director of football and of course our couldn’t care a sh–t owner

  • 26 Ancientcoptic // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:37 PM

Ben Arfa for me. Dazzled Man City and created that piece of magic that should have put us a goal up.

  • 27 Assam Toon // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:39 PM

Harley, Shola is actually good in the ariel game, even I wonder how he and Remy would team up with hba cabaye tiote and goofy in midfield…sissoko can be dropped for a while,he isnt who he was in January…

  • 28 Mark // Oct 30, 2013 at 10:49 PM

    TDS @ 12

    A bit generous aren’t ya?

Krul – 4 (had pretty much nothing to do, distribution wasn’t bad but let the only two on target shots in and dropped a couple of crosses/corners)
    Debuchy – 8 (worked hard)
Willo – 7 (solid but not great)
Mbiwa – 7 (calm, composed, but at fault for the first goal)
Haidara – 7 (for the time he was on, he was effective, pacey and worked well with Goof)
Sissoko – 5 (ineffective for most of the game, poor crosses)
Anita – 6 (tried to be box to box, worked hard, adapted to LB well)
Tiote – 9 (bossed the midfield for me, broke up play, didn’t try anything too fancy, kept things simple, looked like his old self)
Goof – 7 (worked extremely hard but I fear another Jonas situation coming on with him, would like to see him getting in and around the box a bit more)
Ameobi – 7 (typical target man, strong, held the ball well, fell a part without him on the pitch in my opinion)
Cisse – 3 (was involved with the gameplay but just looks absolutely woeful in front of goal)

    Subs:
Cabaye – 7 (showed urgency when he came on, tried to set a pressing tempo high up the pitch)
Ben Arfa – 6 (for me he dawdled too much, doing fancy trick and going sideways mostly)
Dummett – 5 (average today, don’t know if it’s because he wasn’t given enough time on the pitch)

Overall they played well, kept their shape but lacked penetration. Extra-time was just a series of kicking the ball long and then passing it backwards all the way to Krul who kicked it up again. Taking bleading ages to actually move up the pitch, no urgency or fight when the goal went in.
    Overall – 7/10

How can fans suggest yanga for motm? Where was he for their 1ST goal ? 2NITE just proves Santon should notbe played at lb anymore he and yanga are so so poor fenfensively.
