Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Fantastic 2-0 Win Against Chelsea?

Well, you have to have some hope when I said we had no way of winning this game, because Newcastle put in a fantastic performance in the second half of this game, to win 2-0, with second half goals from Yoan Gouffran after 69 minutes and the clincher from Loic Remy after 89 minutes, and both players went crazy after they scored.

So did the crowd.

John Terry heads against the cross bar in first half

This was a real tonic for this Newcastle side and give some credit to Alan Pardew who seemed to have the perfect game plan today, and especially after we went to extra time against Manchester City on Wednesday.

Really hard to pick one player today, but Anita changed the game for us, the simply has to play every week as he makes such a difference to us

what is it with this team and pardew.

that first half was so poor but after halftime team talk the so called bad tactical manager looks more like a excellent manager.

what will be the negative peoples excuse now?

That is how we get better though, need players on the bench like Ben Arfa and Anita challenging the 11 for a place if they play badly. Ben Arfa would be spewing he wasn’t part of that big win. Watching wins like that should drive him to work harder to be part of it

Debuchy is the MoM, but Anita, Tiote and Guffy played great. Ramy and Guffy with a goal each, so, all these players were great.

    Krul made some great saves.

And Chelsea didn’t score when they had the chance. So it is luck, good defending in the first half, and good attacking abilities in the second. should’ve scored more. 2-0 against Chelsea. A great great win.

Finally putting WIN against a bit team came true!

Why cant we play like that every week – It is just sooooo frustrating.

Virtually the same team who were so woefull against the scum take the game to Chelski and beat them comfortably – we were by far the better team.

    Debuchy, followed by Anita.

Funnily enough the long balls stopped when Shola went off and we looked decent when we started playing football .

HWTL 🙂 . Sit back and enjoy your weekend

Defensively Debuchy was awesome today, as was Tiote before he came off. Credit to Pardew, brilliant 2nd half performance and didn’t go defensive in the last ten minutes as he may have done in the past, put Obertan on and he helped set up the second even if that was the only thing he did right when he came on!

Signs of managerial progression and a great win.

Hard to choose MotM today. Everyone was on their game..(well majority of them were… Cisse.. the real cisse is still M.I.A)

Top 5 candidates for me are:

Debuchy – Solid defensively… strong attacking threat.. almost got an assist… (bl00dy hell what a pass)

Anita – Brought a lot of energy and composure to the game, added an attacking threat that Tiote lacks… Absolutely brilliant to set up Remy… Definition of strong and composed in that instant.

Remy – Always running, always a threat. Good teamwork with multiple players… could have had an earlier first with a World class link up play with Sissoko. Ran circles around Luiz.

Goofy – Silent but deadly hero. Never stops running and tracking back. A clever player and deserved the goal. Essentially Jonas Guttierrez.. but 10x Better.

Williamson – For being essentially our 4th choice CB, he has put in solid shifts in recent games and looks a different player… Not many would believe how much we paid for him, based on this season’s performances. Up against the likes of Hazard, Mata, Torres, Eto, Willian, Oscar… Not an easy day in the office.

Had a great feeling about this match and was’nt as nervous as i normally am but i didnt like to say.
Great result! My motm Debuchy. His goal line block was phenomenal his all round play today was excellent.
Its a shame about Obertan becaise he obviously lacks confidence he had some brilliant moments but some really poor ones too. had a say in the second goal too which i had to mention let alone Anitas great flick and pass.
    ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC!

Debuchy was fantastic today, easily MOTM, Gouffran too worked so hard and fully deserved his goal. Thought the two centre backs played excellently too. How Pardew can leave Anita out of the next game after that performance I don’t know. Selection dilemmas for the next game are great with Ben Arfa still on the bench and Coloccini to come back
