He Was So Brilliant You Couldn’t See The Seam

There are a number of players who are playing well for Newcastle at the moment, and they include Mathieu Debuchy, Mike Williamson, Loic Remy, Cheick Tiote and Loic Remy.

Vurnon Anita – in great form for Newcastle

And one pp[layer who has improved and is playing very well this season is Vurnon Anita, who is pushing hard for a first team place and when he came on early in the second half on Saturday for Cheick, Newcastle didn’t lose a beat.

Alan Pardew has praised the Dutchman today in the local papers:

“It was a shame to lose Cheick, because he’s been brilliant,” “But you couldn’t see the seam with Vurn. He’s really at it.”

“I was really disappointed I couldn’t find a place in the team after City. That’s a nice option to have.”

“It was a great bit of skill for the second goal, real class,” “I was delighted for him.”

And certainly Anita was delighted after that second goal he made for Loic Remy, and Vurnon himself celebrated with the crowd, because the goal guaranteed Newcastle another famous win at St. James’ Park.

It’s the good form shown by players like Anita, Debuchy and Remy and others this season, that can propel Newcastle into a much higher position in the league table by the end of the year.

And the next two games are important – a difficult one at Tottenham next Sunday, and then an easy one – at least on paper – at home to Norwich.

Newcastle must play well in both games, and try to get some consistency into their play, and that lack of consistency has been our Achilles heel so far this season.

What do you think?

Cabaye would probably be sold at a high price 20-25 million, hopefully Cisse will be sold at a reasonable price 8-10 million.

this gives us an option to purchase 3 players Ince 4 million, Gomis free signing with an option to buy bit like the Sissoko deal maybe between 2-3 million and finally Andre Ayew 10 million.

17 million spent on players coming in whilst making a profit from Cabaye & Cisse sales.

34 million – 17 million = 17 million profit, but by the time agents want there fees it could be about 14-15 million profit.

Loic Remy AND Loic Remy are playing well? You’re trying to make up numbers mate.

There’s room if we make some: Taylors, Tavernier, Gosling, Obertan, Bigi, Vuckic!
Nice chant for Remy! (and Remy)

You couldn’t make it up- this is what happens when your in pursuit of an agenda to condemn Ashley – you lose the plot!!
    Jail For Ashley

Band B made a fightening observation the other day, it looks like players whose agents weren’t as savvy as Demba Ba’s haven’t had release clauses inserted in to their contracts and have relied on gentlemens agreements to be allowed to go to CL clubs if they came in, unfortunately for them they hadn’t reckoned on Ashleys ridiculous valuations on them and are now stuck until the last years of their contracts, what Band B suggested was that relegation could be the only escape, I think it is a god send we have a WC at the end of this season and god forbid if France get knocked out by the Ukranians.

So, you are slagging Ashley for not telling thick agents to insert release clauses into contracts and also for placing ridiculous valuations on players heads which will keep them at the club until the last year of their contract???

Is thst not EXACTLY what Ashley should be doing?

You are actually saying Ashley should give them release clauses and put realistic fees on their heads. Haway man.

We’d be mad to sell Cabaye in january! Hes a nailed on starter in the french WC squad, theyve not qualified strongly but with lloris (best keeper in premier league) Ribery, Benzema, Varane, pogba, giroud (best striker in prem this year) , they genuinely have a squad that could go far! If Cabaye plays a starring role in that his value will only climb!

  • 14 Black and White with an army lol // Nov 6, 2013 at 9:27 AM

i wouldn’t want Cabaye to go this January, but if teams like Arsenal, Liverfool & Roma put a bid in for at least 20-25 million MA will sell straight away

if Cabaye did get sold for around 25 million that give us the chance to strengthen our weak points in the squad.

Ince & Ayew who are both natural wingers with Ince playing on both sides of the wings whilst Ayew can play LB, ML, LW, DM, CM, AMC, ST and Gomis playing as a striker.

i would go for this option if the deal presented itself

Could not be happier for Anita, now coming good after getting slatted when he first came. Mind, that was probably because he was the only arrival as well.

If the sale of Cabaye does happen we have a player to step in and whilst I do not like loosing our best player, it would be an opportunity (like Bale/Spurs in the summer) to invest in he squad. However it will never be straight forward with those in charge.

If I could just drag the subject on to the thread for a minute, I think Wor Vern has earned a song:

    Vern baby Vern
    Vernon Anita!
    Vern baby Vern
    Vernon Anita.

    (To ‘burn baby burn’ obviously)
