What’s The Benefit In Newcastle Signing This Winger?

Newcastle United are said to be in pole position to sign Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha on loan in January, but we’re not sure why we would want to sign a youngster who will be going back to United at the end of the season – what benefit does that have for Newcastle?

Wilfried Zaha _1768470a

Wilfried Zaha – loan deal at Newcastle?

Wilfried has played just once this season for Manchester United, since signing on from Crystal Palace last January, but Newcastle have wingers like Sammy Ameobi, Sylvain Marveaux, Jonas Gutierrez and Hatem Ben Arfa out of the first team at the moment, so why would Alan Pardew want to play Zaha ahead of these players?

And one of the agreements in any loan deal is that the youngster will get playing time at Newcastle, otherwise why leave Manchester United in the first place.

Newcastle have been linked with players like Tom Ince of Blackpool in the January transfer window, and he as one example would be a permanent signing.

So we keep reading in the Mirror that Newcastle are in the lead to sign the Zaha, who is an England U21 International, but we cannot see the benefit to Newcastle.

What do you think?

There is no point in signing another flair player to sit on the bench!

None. Better off spending the money on cloning the 70s Debbie Harry and hiring her to perform for the lads in the changing room, on account that they win.

Plenty of reasons to get him on loan! He is probably better than most of the wingers that you theres a reason why most dont get a game ! Personally think we should be getting Ince for that left wing slot hes got everything we need would be great to have a 433 with Ince and Zaha on either wing proper direct wingers who can cross the ball its the only thing our team is lacking if you get that kind of service into the box consistently Cisse will start scoring and who knows it might be worth people making runs from midfield?Just a thought

Cant have too many good players Arfa is not great on the wing , Jonas is shite , Marveux is not interested and Sammy is not that great either and Obertan is gash so how can you say that we dont need a winger ??!

Do like southampton at the moment. I reckon their season will be very similar to ours when we finished 5th, but i reckon they will finish 6th.

sammy marv obertan are all crap so the benefit is we get a player that can come on and maybe do something .
cant bring myself to slate guti but he is never going to help us if we are losing .
would happily sell the other 3 to try and raise cash for ince or lallana .

I’ll have to catch that on iplayer, if it isn’t one I’ve seen before. I reckon after she’s finished her rendition of Fog Oo the Tyne, she’d end up slipping off with the quiet, cheeky chappy HBA, while the others squabble about who has the first shot at trying to woo her, aside from Debuchy and Cabaye who’d still be preening each others hair.

Heart of Glass is a fitting song for Toon fans 😆

wolfshead – yes I did notice your attempt at a religious pun.
No need to suggest you were not requesting any praise for your effort as it was of a “standard” that would not attract praise anyway. However, do not let my comments put you off -keep trying.

If we guaranteed to scoring more then lets strengthing.

Been a long time sice we had any succesive loan signings …

If we can can our guys out on loan at same time as, then the change over should work quite well.

The guys we have on our books do need quality play time BUT not in live play for us.

Look at Williamson .. has cost us dearly in the past but now a possible seed for the team. If his practise games hadnt been at our expense then where could be now?

Either way we on the make now (on paper)

Really hope we pull it tomorrow!!! Really looking forward 🙂

    Santon,
Your posts make a lot of sense and are enjoyable to read, unfortunately when you have a user name similar to somebody who isn’t that good to read it can confuse users of the blog.

the papers and TV comps should be allowed to start interviewing referees about why they give them because that would not only stop these sort of decisions but also make players attempt these less often.

The benefits are clear, he is good enough to get in our first team; therefore he will help us in the table.

It is not like we would be wasting our time developing him for Man Utd. He would actually be useful.

The same as the benefit that Everton get from having Lukaku on loan.

Insulting. pointless, Why do we want to get a player on loan from a top club just to give him back at the end of the season.? that, juat shows how far we have fell behind the top clubs. I can perfectly well understand moyes thoughts behind his decision to let him come here. He will get a game every week , he will be playing infront of 50,000 every week, ( where could he go and get that kind of experience every week) he is going to a big club, and he will learn, however , moyes knows , as big a club that we are , we are never going to be a threat to his club- that is so insulting- not from moyes, but the fact that big clubs know NUFC will never be a threat to them , says everything about our ambition as a football club.
