Newcastle United are said to be in pole position to sign Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha on loan in January, but we’re not sure why we would want to sign a youngster who will be going back to United at the end of the season – what benefit does that have for Newcastle?
Wilfried Zaha – loan deal at Newcastle?
Wilfried has played just once this season for Manchester United, since signing on from Crystal Palace last January, but Newcastle have wingers like Sammy Ameobi, Sylvain Marveaux, Jonas Gutierrez and Hatem Ben Arfa out of the first team at the moment, so why would Alan Pardew want to play Zaha ahead of these players?
And one of the agreements in any loan deal is that the youngster will get playing time at Newcastle, otherwise why leave Manchester United in the first place.
Newcastle have been linked with players like Tom Ince of Blackpool in the January transfer window, and he as one example would be a permanent signing.
So we keep reading in the Mirror that Newcastle are in the lead to sign the Zaha, who is an England U21 International, but we cannot see the benefit to Newcastle.
What do you think?
