We outplayed them in the first half and yes we hung on in the second with heroics of Krul getting us the win, but this is a side looking for consistency, so all in all it was a solid win for us.

I’m no fan of Pardew and never will be, but credit where it’s due, the last three games we have fought like hell for everything and everyone can see the difference in the side

Surely the pint of having a good keeper is as much to win you games as having a good CF?

Stupid statement to say if krul hadn’t made saves then we wouldn’t have won

Hate this patter moaning about Krul making saves to win us the game !He only had 3 proper saves to make the rest were all from long range!

We had Remy’s chance before he scored , Cabaye in the first half and Sissoko’s breakaway chance in the 2nd half so we could have had more if we had have scored to go 2 nil up before half time it would have been game over

This blog is crazy sometimes yes we could be playing better but if Pardew had started say Arfa for example and he does not track back and we got beat everyone would be moaning anyway would rather win against the big teams by anymeans necessary at the moment

The jury is still out on Pardew for me but would love it if we disposed of Norwich in a couple of weeks we could be top 6 when the transfer window opens with our fixtures how crazy would that be ?!

ManU vs Arsenal is 1st vs 7th.
    Its not 1st vs 2nd or 3rd.
    Its not the biggest game.
ManU leading is more like an upset.

So much hype in the commentary for ManU !!

ManU should have had a penalty. Wasnt given. Cause big teams always get decisions their way 🙂

TADS– @2– the worrying thing is – the amount of times he had to make the save , the amount of times spurs should have scored, the times when were they were clear cut chances. yeah every body has to do trheir job , but lets be honest here , i have never seen a game when 2 teams in the same league were like chalk and cheese or have i ever seen a keeper earn his money like krul did today , it was a bit too easy for spurs today for my liking. spurs have a goal scoring problem , but their only problem today was krul,

I think pards said we he said to highlight the effect of Europe to rightly or wrongly answer his critics of last season

Spurs created chances yes, but only 4-5 of them were great chances, we set up defensively, could we of gone for it? maybe, but we didn’t we stayed strong as a unit and got the 3 points
So I’m not sure why him saying that has angered you so much
No need to argue over it mate, I just don’t see his statement as that bigger deal, it’s an issue that gets highlighted every season by every manager

exactly…it’s pointless using ifs and buts….they work both ways as you have shown.

it might not have been our most convincing win but against a side which had not conceded in the league for 3 games and are tipped for top 4 and even title contenders by some then a win is great away from home.

Not pretty at times but a good bit of graft and a hard-won result against a tough team. Better in many ways than the mackems bogey win against citeh imo. It was exactly the right way to play it, only hope we dont get sussed out, tmmy cant do this very week Alan so be careful!

Btw, how come santon got more votes than debuchy? There are a lot of teenage girls on here arent there 🙂

I wonder if everyone that gets on here are really TOON fans or are just blinkered in getting rid of Ashley and Pardew.
Get a life and give the TOON credit where credit is due
Point against Liverpool lucky, win against Chelski, Chelski did not turn up win against Spuds lucky Krul had a great game blah di blah – for hells sake give the TOON the credit.

Man Utd playing well against the Gunners bet there fans would not complain if they win one nil and Arsenal pound them 2nd half but De Gea makes saves to win the match…..

Whilst I agree we sat off a bit too much second half I don’t agree they had that many clear cut chances, a lot of pot shots from distance and there were a lot of comfortable saves
Against spurs they will always create chances, but we defended well and krul was solid
Spurs reminded me a lot of us vs Sunderland, a lot if possession but not lethal with it, a lot of long range shots and we starved the supply down the flanks right up until goofy came off

you have never seen a game where two teams in the league are that far apart?

    man utd 8 -2 arsenal
    spurs 9 – 1 wigan
    newcastle 8-0 sheff wed

there’s games where two teams in the same league looked more chalk and cheese

we had the best chances in the first half, yes battered in the second half but krul only had to make maybe 3/4 saves from clear cut….others were efforts a prem keeper should save

We have had a terrific November so far, its the games coming up were we are expected to take the three were it normally buggers up, lets not forget WBA were so unlucky against Chelsea yesterday and are no mugs by a long way, as for our defence playing well??what I would say is the battled and tried their heart out that’s for sure but if not for the goalie we would have been done by half a dozen and the defence would have been blasted, we got the rub of the green today, other days ie the mackems we did not, Spurs took Santon apart down the left it was far to easy in that second half, we got the point which is what matters, but we still have quite a way to go, we still have not put in two similar halfs for nearly two seasons, that is why we are a mediocre football team and inconsistent, but a top win today.

What utterly miserable “supporters” you are.

If we won the FA Cup or beat the Gooners away by 5 you’d find something to moan about.

Results not really going your way recently are they ?

I’m sure you’d both be much happier as you are the “real fans” and if we got hammered because then you could say “I told you so” because you are ‘losers’ in the true sense of the word – being so hopelesly negative all the time.

I’m just happy to be a deluded and positive fan who is chuffed we won another really tough fixture against a top side.
