Newcastle continued from where they left off last week when another Loic Remy goal was enough to give Newcastle all three points at Tottenham, and that was our first win in five years at White Hart Lane, and only Spurs’ third defeat in the last 29 games at home.

So six points from our last two games against Chelsea and Tottenham cannot be too bad – in fact it’s tremendous. :D

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was at White Hart Lane today.

I’ll take losing to Sunderland any day of the week if it means we perform well against

    - City (despite that extra time defeat)
    - Chelsea
    - Spurs

Essentially 6 Bonus points right there.

First post here from the states, woke up at 6 a.m. to watch the game, and what I’m glad I did. What a performance, Krul was sensational!

  • 18 toonking // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:06 PM

thee difference with our team now is
we have got the tiote of old time
the width much better team play that HBA didn’t provide
willo provides the strength of the defence
shola has the power of the front.
finally tiote is now taking his anger out on orders to our players.

what we not doing is standing like statues when the opposition have the ball and also we are certainly not the hoofball team.

But if we will not perform against Norwich for example. Then that will be also 6 points lost. So from 12 points, 6 won’t be enough.

If we will get also the 3 points against Norwich, and win against other bottom teams, then those 6 points against Spurs and Chelsea will be a bonus.

Hope we will continue our good form against Norwich at home.

  • 22 Carr Toon // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:08 PM

Back 2 back wins against heavy weights of London with clean sheets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something really special from Pardew to compensate derby defeat…
AS FAR AS BEST PLAYER IS CONCERNED::::Tim Krul=Player of the century

  • 23 Oleg G // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:10 PM

I really dislike Willo. I think he is heavy. Doesn’t know what to do with the ball. Slow.

But today, and actually the last few games he played, he did a good job. He somehow kept it so simple that except those silly long balls that go nowhere, he did most things right.

    So good for him.

Pardew Sire => Over night legend of Tyneside!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • 25 Ted Bundy // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:11 PM

It’s gonna be a landslide for Krul, but Gouffy’s determination and industry are something to behold, Santo should take lessons in being assertive and not giving players room, from him; can provide a touch of class also as shown with his through ball.

Mbiwa, Debuchy and Willo also did very well. Obertan did the best of the players coming off the bench, despite only being on for 10mins. Made a few key tackles and provided our only decent outlet and showed bottle that he must have procured from somewhere since he was frozen out, flinging himself into 50-50s in the air.

    So happy with that win.

  • 26 Carr Toon // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:11 PM

    Oleg G:
Spot on mate and Yanga-Mbiwa has been revived by that red card at Liverpool…….

  • 27 jimiley // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:12 PM

KRUL. Easy. Without him we could have lost SIX – One. Dreadful second half. Pardew at his best. A great win or a lucky win?

  • 28 Ted Bundy // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:13 PM

This has to drive us on now. We’re in touching distance of the europen spots, with 2 home games on the horizon. Have to show the same appetite, spirit and apply the same principles to win those games.

    NO COMPLACENCY!

  • 29 NUFC 1892 // Nov 10, 2013 at 2:32 PM

    PARDEW !!!!!!

  • 30 fatman // Nov 10, 2013 at 4:27 PM

What did Pardew do for this win Tottenham had 14 shots saved by Krull i cant remember a single save by Pardew if we had car crash in goal we could have been put to the sword

  • 31 DG MAGPIE // Nov 10, 2013 at 8:35 PM

Wins at home against Norwich & West Brom and we will be laughing our black and white backs off!! :)
