NUFC Fans United – Meeting Minutes – Worth A Read

NUFC Fans United have kindly sent us the minutes of the meeting they held on November 13th (unlucky for some) at the Tyneside Irish Centre, and the minutes go over a number of points and it’s very well written and professional.

That’s the type of organization Newcastle fans need to interface with the club in these rather difficult times, and there’s a lot of good information in the minutes on a number of different topics, and it’s definitely worth a read for every Newcastle fan.

Here it is.

It was intesting to read why the NUST were banned. You can see why NUFC were p*ssed off but tend to agree with the meeting that a ban was very heavy handed.

Everything but Mike Ashley’s free advertising/swindling? < Should be the NUMBER 1! subject on everybody's mind.

The Fans are buying tickets, that money is being put towards paying the clubs debts, but that debt is decreasing slower because Ashley is getting free Advertising; therefore we have a situation of: ''Fans buying tickets to help pay for Mike Ashley's Free Advertising.''

Is there any other club in the country where the fans have to pay for the clubs advertising as part of their ticket fee? The way I figured it, it was advertisers that paid the club.

The biggest racket to ever happen to Newcastle, and not one mention of it with sit downs with the club. Excuse me what is going on?

The ban on the press is a miniscule sideshow deflecting away from the REAL ISSUE going on here.

“it is important that NUFC Fans Utd lobby NUFC”

What form will this take and is there anything individuals can do to bring about the reinstatement of NUST to the Fans Forum?

ancientcoptic – I hear what you’re saying but would you rather Ashley charged interest on the loan? The arrangement makes sense all round – I just wish they’d be honest about it. ..

tbh if NUST did screw the club over with that petulent stunt I’m not surprised theft got banned. Stupid betrayal of trust.

Whumpie, Ashley isn’t the only owner to offer ‘soft loans.’ He is not doing anything special, it is happening at other clubs, only at other clubs they are cashing in on the advertising space. Like I said, it is a racket.
