Newcastle Players’ Destiny Decided Tonight

France have a massive task tonight in Paris, because they are 2-0 down to Ukraine after the first leg of their two game playoff to reach the World Cup Finals in Brazil next summer.

Yohan Cabaye – will be involved tonight

It doesn’t look good for France against a side who haven’t even conceded a goal in the last eight games and are unbeaten in eleven games this year since new coach Mykhaylo Fomenko was appointed in January.

One glimmer of hope for the French is that two of the Ukraine back four are suspended for this game, and one of them – Olexandr Kucher – was sent off deep into added time on Friday – so maybe that’s an omen for the French team.

Laurent Koscielny was also sent off and will not participate tonight, but we expect Newcastle’s Mathieu Debuchy to keep his place, after he was one of France’s best players last Friday night.

And according to French Daily L’Equipe today, Yohan Cabaye, who didn’t even get a run-out from the bench on Friday night, will see action tonight as French manager Didier Deschamps tries to get his team to score some goals, if they are going to have any chance of qualifying for Brazil.

The news is also that Loic Remy will not start tonight, although Loic had a very decent game on Friday night.

It’s going to be very difficult for the French to come up with the goods tonight in Paris, and an early goal will be what they will be going for, and that could shake up Ukraine if they can manage to score early on.

But we’ll be watching the game on TV and hoping somehow they can make it through – for the good of our French players.

Currently we have Nigeria and Ivory Coast having qualified, which was good news for Shola Ameobi and Papiss Cisse.

I want France to win for our guys, but if they don’t we won’t have the problem of tired players next August.

this france team is like newcastle in the relegation season- full of talent but with no commitment, every player plays for his own.

i never saw nasri or benzena have a good game for them.

I normally wouldn’t give two hoots whether France qualify or not but I think their qualification is integral to how we do this season, I think we’ll end up with half a team of disinterested, deflated players otherwise.

It’s a great team on paper.
To have Nasri, and Remy coming off the bench tonight shows their strength.

As Israeli_fan says they don’t play as a team anymore.

Anyway regarding France I hope they qualify because I think it will affect our French players performances because if they don’t as we all know French players do like a sulk at times 🙂

Not so long ago, they had to cheat their way into the finals by way of a Thierry Henry handball.

Will luck be on their side again?
Can’t say they deserve it even though I would like them to qualify for the sake of our French players.
