Striker’s Agent – We’re Talking To Several Premier Clubs

Bafe Gomis was linked with a move to Newcastle over the summer, and in fact we agreed a fee with his club Lyon, but couldn’t get the deal done because of the exorbitant demands of his agent(s).

Bafe Gomis – available in a cut price deal

Now it seems there are a number of Premier League clubs after the cut-price 28 year-old French International, and they include Cardiff and Swansea as possible suitors.

Bafe was supposed to be attracting some Italian clubs recently but his agent Francesco Di Frisco, has said there is no interest from Italy, but there is from some Premier League clubs.

This is what he had to say on the TMW web-site:

“AS Roma and Lazio keen on him?” “I’ve recently been talking to both Walter Sabatini and Igli Tare, and they told me Bafe is not among their main targets. “

“Instead, he’s close to joining the Premier League. We are in talks with several clubs.” “His €2.5M salary demands (£41K/week) offer English clubs a big advantage.”

We’re not sure if Newcastle are still interested in this player, but at around £2M, it would seem he would be a good buy, especially since we bid more than four times that amount in the summer,

But with his five-year contract at Lyon running out in June, the French striker is available at a cut price.

What do you think?

As long as it doesn’t turn in to hoof ball again. If you’re going for a target man he has to be mobile and skilful not just an old fashioned battering ram with everything going aerial.

As for Norwich surely anita just comes in at right back – simples!

Nothing wrong with combining pass and move with some direct football – it works for Laudrup 🙂

Okay I’m sorry but how in the hell have we not found Seydou Doumbia yet? That little man is class. Absolute flying machine, scores goals and works hard. He’d be by no 1 target.
