This Is What Newcastle Can Expect On Saturday – Video

Shane Long seems to be in great goal-scoring form at the moment, and the former Newcastle target scored two goals for his side at home to Aston Villa on Monday night in their 2-2 draw.

But here is a world-class strike from the Irishman for the first goal, and Newcastle will need to be wary of this lad on Saturday, and he is also very quick, which may cause Newcastle some problems at the back.

And Ashley Westwood’s equalizer in the second half – his first goal ever for the Villa first team –  wasn’t too bad either.

Great goalscoring form?? 3 goals in 11 games this season? That means Goofy is prolific!

Well hopefully we can carry on this weekend with another win.
Personally I would like too see Collo dropped back to the bench and carry on as normal .
Never mind worrying about Shane Long ,let the Baggies worry about Remy and co.
    Newcastle 2 Wba 0

Shola could score 2 goals like Long’s at the weekend but it wouldn’t turn him into a great striker.

Why are we bigging this guy up so much?

Re – Cabaye what a load of bollocks him wanting to play Cl it’s another way of saying I want a pay increase or another signing on fee.

It’s all about money as usual. Players have just started to use this as an excuse and even so called fans are saying ” I don’t blame them” so it’s a cop out.

How many games do the get to play in the Cl not many unless you are at one of the top top teams and Cabaye ain’t going to one of them.

The only reason the French players are over here is because if the tax situation in France.

Fed up of hearing about all this. Where’s the fcuking loyalty to us, the supporters.

Here is a good idea, why doesn’t he stay at Newcastle and get us in the Cl or is he too thick to realise that with showing some commitment to our cause he may just achieve his ambitition.

    TDS – repost

Sorry I mean the ambition of finishing 7, 8 or top 10. Why not go for it? If can’t get there in the end, then try again next year. So far we set the bar low because affraid being dissapointed.

I’m suspecting you didn’t watch the WBA or you would be suitably impressed. Both his goals were out of this world. Our only chance is to play with the intensity AV played, in the last third of the game.

I don’t understand people saying we should sign Shane Long, he scores 1 goal every 4.5 games he starts.

Think people must be going off youtube clips rather than actually watching him play week in week out, my baggies mate will be happy to get rid and reckons Saido Berahino is twice the player Long is and has a better attitude

Yeh Long had a great game monday, bags of pace and doesn’t tire, keeps going for 90 mins. With him out of contract in the summer i’d love him signed on the cheap in january.

Means if remy and shola do not sign in the summer we already have another man in so just one player needed them.

I think we have enough to win but WBA are a decent side too.

I have my annual tenner on us finishing top four, I got 50/1 at start of season and odds have already shortened to 15/1 …. the bookies know something 🙂

Like I said, from the players perspective, I don’t agree with targeting the CL at this stage. Push the players on to ensuring we stay in the top 8 and then if we’re still there near the end of the season, go for it. If we’re targeting the CL then we’re falling short now. I’d far rather tell the players that they’re doing well but they need to keep this level up so we finish in 8th at least. You can bet that they all want to go that step further but why turn a positive start into a negative?

going off what i have seen of the lad the last 2 seasons I think he works hard and offers more than just goals, links play well and creates space for others by running the channels well.

he has 3 in 10 this year and 11 in 37 last year…not bad as a squad player. good to have on the bench and better than our strikers apart from remy.
