Last Saturday was a game Newcastle should have own against a struggling Norwich City side, and we did it, but West Brom are a different proposition, and in their last game on the road they should have beaten Chelsea 2-1, but for a ridiculous penalty decision by referee Mike Riley in added time, that saved Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home league record while manager at Chelsea.
Alan Pardew – Newcastle manager
And in last week’s voting on the outcome of the game, 75% thought Newcastle would beat Norwich City, but only 57% think Newcastle will win the game against West Brom on Saturday, and 32% think it will end up as a draw.
And here’s your chance to vote, if you haven’t already done so.
A win on Saturday would be just terrific, because as we stand right now, we are 2 points behind 4th place and 4 points behind second place, although that should be 3 points and 5 points respectively, because of our poor goal difference.
But a win is what the lads will be going for, and we also have a fully fit squad, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility we can get our 4th league win on the trot.
That would be fantastic.

Comment #1I’ll never presume a game is in the bag, well except against the mackems, but we have a decent chance.
I’m not 100% confident of the win but i am 100% confident we can get the win if we play to the level we are capable of.

Comment #2Obviously this is a game that can go either way.
A win would be great, but I still wouldn’t be surprised if we come crashing back down with a bump.
I see no reason for us to be afraid, but we must be wary of the long ball over the top, and keep concentrating for 90+ minutes.
Will be interesting to see which line-up Pardew goes with. Particularly the back 4

Comment #3I noticed BBC Newcastle commentator Mick Lowes is back after recovering from a broken arm – hope he is not a Jonah!

Comment #4Thank God we aren’t in Europa league action tonight.
No excuse for Pardew on Saturday.

Comment #5Baggies have a very good away record. Only lost once. Should be a good game.
