It seems that French striker Loic Remy is coming on in leaps and bounds at Newcastle, and Loic could remember where he is being made a better player by manager Alan Pardew, and think of that when he decides which club to join permanently next summer.
Obviously his best choice would be Newcastle, but there may be a little bias there. 😀
Loic Remy in action against Norwich last saturday
Right at the end of Alan Pardew’s press conference yesterday, the manager was asked if he thinks Loic Remy is now one of the top five strikers in the Premier League, and this is what he had to say:
“We have a striker in great form at the moment in Remy obviously, but I don’t think that he is in the top echelon yet, because he hasn’t got that experience that some of those players have, but he has great prospects.”
“I’d like to think you know two years down the line he can definitely be in that group, but he has a little bit to learn I thought he showed that at Norwich, but there were times he needs to get his head up to make the right pass.”
“But he has fantastic talent and certainly one of the best younger players in the league at the moment.”
Loic is currently 4th in the Premier League goalscorer list with eight goals, two behind top scorer Sergio Aguero of Manchester City, and one behind the Liverpool strike force of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, who both have 9 goals.
But there’s no doubt with more time in the Premier League (and at Newcastle) , Loic Remy can still improve and become even better than he is today.
Now there’s a thought.
